No more Taco Bell for them!  Here’s proof that bad smells can peel off wallpaper!  And there’s no toilet paper!  Aaaaaaaaah!

Too much clutter and family photos in the dining room, as if you could tell.  These people have no clue.

Here’s a 5,000 square feet custom home built in 2007 that not quite all peaches and cream.  It’s listed at $900,000.  But doesn’t look like $900,000 thanks to The Clampetts living there.

For $900,000, you’d expect a paved driveway and landscaping, right?

At the front door, buyers are greeted by a child’s toy car, dirt, and an unrolled hose.

One of the dumbest master bathrooms ever.  Whether it’s a luxury home or a trailer, don’t you think it’s a good idea to install mirrors over the sinks?!  Oh, and if you’re sitting down, how can you see yourself in the mirror?

Old versus new in the family room.  New flat screen TV next to an old analog TV that’s blocking the fireplace.  Why would you keep an old TV?  So you can play “Pong”?

Clutter all over the back patio.  A dog in the photo.  A $50 BBQ grill.  Lots of dirt.  No pool.  No landscaping.  All this for $900,000.

Here we have artwork and an interesting furniture arrangement in the living room.

The kitchen is boring with its gray cabinets.  Lots of stickers and postcards on the range hood and wall.  Ugly yellow door handles.  You face a wall when doing dishes by hand because there’s no dishwasher.  Where’s the refrigerator?

The fuzzy photo doesn’t disguise the clutter in the dining room.

The blue paint is distracting.  What’s that melted thing in the window?

Bedroom 1 has a wall A/C and a fan, so buyers will assume it gets too hot in the summer.  There’s also a hole in the floor.  Wait ’til a buyer falls in and twists his/her ankle.

Bedroom 2 is very blue and cluttered.

Bedroom 3 is very purple and also cluttered.  Why is there a scarf on the ceiling fan?  At some point, the house was cleared out to install nice laminate flooring.  Too bad you can’t see it clearly.

Bedroom 4 is crammed full of crafts stuff plus a can of paint thinner.

It’s hard to notice the nice features of this room (laminate flooring, recessed lighting, doors) because so much else is going on.

Oh, good grief.  Your eyes don’t know where to focus on with all of those distractions.

Before:  Fall 2005.  Living room.  Really ugly wallpaper.  Might be suitable for New Jersey or Vermont, but just doesn’t work in Phoenix.

After:  January 2006.  Living room.  The house became vacant.  All the clutter and fake antiques are gone.  But it now makes the ugly wallpaper really stand out.

After:  June 2009.  Living room.  The ugly wallpaper is gone!  And replaced with ragged rolled faux paint.  The furniture placement stinks.  The couch is blocking the fireplace.  Exercise equipment in the living room (right side).  Christmas teddy bear in June.  Clutter.

Before:  Fall 2005.  Dining room.  Bright green paint.  Stuff jammed in.  Too much clutter.

After:  January 2006.  Dining room.  Once vacant, it’s obvious the cabinets do not match the era and style of the house.  And the green and blue paint really stand out, also not matching the era and style of the house.

After:  June 2009.  Dining room.  At least the green is gone.  But the clutter is back.  Four oil lamps on the sideboard.  Clutter on the counter.  And a stupid pot rack was added to the kitchen.  The house didn’t sell in 2005 or in 2006.  Let’s see how it does in 2009 in this condition.

Small dot and a square.  Why?  It distracts buyers from the nice laminate flooring and French doors.
