Surprise.  More laundry in the master bedroom.

Why did they change it?

Is this corner shower practical for most humans?  Your elbows couldn’t bend.  Good luck if you drop the soap.  Why didn’t they expand the shower area to the left wall?  And plenty of room to come out from the back wall toward the toilet.

Another amateur shower remodel.  If those are 12″ tiles, that shower is just barely over 2 feet x 2 feet once you put the shower curtain inside the lip!

They couldn’t afford a bigger mirror?  How fun is this bathroom if there are 2 people using it?  Easy to put on makeup?  The bath remodeling trend is to remove the giant mirrors from the 1960s-1980s bathrooms and replace with these small modern mirrors.  I tell clients to add a decorative frame around the old mirror and make it look expensive and new.

Many bathrooms in the 1950s-1970s had sunken tubs.  How many people fell into them by accident?  Stubbed a toe on the corner?

Why is the toilet tank lid askew?  Oh, there’s no handle, so they have to pull a string to flush.

Laundry room.  How do you remember what’s dirty and what’s clean?

“If you won’t clear off the counters, I won’t clean up my room.”

“Don’t bother us!  We’re texting.”

“Looks good to me.”

Now he’s outside.

How ’bout we hide the hides or we’ll seek another house.

What fireplace?

It’s there somewhere.

Out of sight, out of mind.  From a Reading, Pennsylvania home where you’d think a fireplace would be an asset.

Hidden by clutter.  Are those cat litter boxes down there?

This photo’s caption reads, “Check out the fireplace.”  We would if we could see it.  Why take the photo so far away then?
