A show that can fulfill the enjoyment of the people without the firework display.

Last December 30, SM South mall had an advance New Year celebration as they hosted UNDER THE SKY: LIGHTS AND SOUND SHOW. It is a show that composed of spectacular hosting by DJ, jam-roll by bands, and artistic display of dancing lights. This SM North EDSA “The Great Northern Sale” with a theme of “The SALE made for shopaholics returns!” targets the shopaholics for buying all things that runs in their mindset. The Great Northern Sale set a big mark down of up to 70% for some items that magnetizing the mind of shopaholics.

As what we experienced yesterday, it was a successful shopping event in SM North EDSA because of thousands of shoppers that enjoyed the big sales. Me and my girlfriend together with our blogger friends found lot of stuffs that we really like to buy. After celebrating the country’s Independence Day, MEGA further stresses its nationalism through the recently held “A Class of Champions”.
In its pursuit to look for the next new face in Filipino design, MEGA created the MEGA Young Designers Competition (YDC) in 1994 to gather the next best Filipino designers who could bring Filipino design to the runways of the world. Some notable designers started their careers through the competition, namely: Patrice Ramos-Diaz, Gian Romano, Ivarluski Aseron, Russell Villafuerte, Mich Dulce, Oj Hofer, Rajo Laurel and international designer Furne One among others.

“A Class of Champions”, held last June 19, 2012 at The Podium, cited and awarded ten of the country’s top Filipino designers. And at the end of the program, cocktail party is continue and great treats for all of us as we enjoy the shopping spree. I enjoyed the shopping moment because I got my new stuff in styling myself for the next event.

Fashionistas all over the world are now wearing their true colors on their sleeves more prominently their moods. Fashion authorities in the country would tell you that the youth are taking trends out of the pages of magazines (and even comic books!) and into the streets.

Costume Play, or more popularly known as COSPLAY, for instance, is now a growing style trend in the Philippines. What used to be part of the Otaku culture (fans of Japanese comic books or manga), is becoming a common sight in everyday Pinoy fashion little by little.

There's a lot to Cosplay than a representation of a person's favorite anime character. It also speaks volumes about his/her fantasies, creativity and the center of it all, individuality.

That same level of individuality — which gives cosplayers the courage to show off their true identities costumes in public — runs deep in Bum's style philosophy. As a brand that represents the youth's conceptions and misconceptions, Bum is gradually recognizing the Cosplay trend into the Filipino fashion psyche by translating it into more prominent trend.
