CLOSED - LINX Network Issue

There has been some instability on the LINX Extreme peering LAN this evening which we pick up in Telehouse North, London. As a result all of our peering sessions on this LAN have been suspended until we hear back from LINX support. As soon as the situation changes we will let you know.

After monitoring the LINX network and the maintenance windows carried out by the LINX team over the last few days we are happy to close this call.

Some customers may have experienced packet loss on our Telehouse North LINX peers. This was down to an issue on the LINX peering LAN that caused packet loss to customers routing via our LINX peers.

CLOSED - Cacti Server Maintenance

This evening at 17:30 we are carrying out some maintenance on our cacti server. We estimate this service to be unavailable for 1 hour whilst an upgrade is performed, sorry for any inconvenience.

CLOSED - Level3 Issue

There has been an issue with Level3 this evening which we are investigating with the provider. As a result the BGP session with Level3 has been shutdown and all traffic is routing out via our other providers. A full analysis of this issue will be posted when we have more information.

After consulting with the provider, the issue was rectified. We were experiencing routing problems to sites external to Level3's Autonomous System. Level3 connectivity has been monitored closely since being restored and we are now happy to close this call.

The fibre is fully functioning and normal traffic forwarding has resumed. A full report will be issued to all affected customers today.

Our engineers have been on site and tested the fibre which is testing positive. The outage coincides with some work going on in IFL by engineers installing a new fibre run. We are still trying to find out the exact cause.

We are currently experiencing a network issue, it appears a fibre link between IFL and Telecity is down. We have an engineer investigating and will report back ASAP.

CLOSED - UK Grid Maintenance Window - Saturday 19th January 23:00 - 24:00

THIS MAINTENANCE WINDOW HAS BEEN COMPLETED

We are planning some network maintenance this Saturday 19th January between 23:00 and 24:00, during this window there may be some minor network disruption.

The work is to increase the network capacity between our Layer3 switches in both IFL and Telecity, this will help to improve performance on our Manchester network.

Please be assured that any network disruption will be kept to a minimum.
