White Heat has been confirmed to start on Thursday March 8th. From the description of the second episode in the BBC's programme information, Claire Foy will probably have sex scenes in the first episode.

The press are still printing hype about the "steamy lesbian love scene" between Alex Kingston and Emilia Fox in Upstairs Downstairs. It's in episode 3 which will be shown on Sunday March 4th. I still don't think we'll see any more than kissing.

Ellie Kendrick's first Being Human appearance is on March 11th. She's playing a werewolf so nudity in a transformation scene is possible.

The preview for Lip Service series 2 happened in Brighton on Wednesday. I've not heard any details except that transmission is expected in "a few weeks". Some reports have said April or May. It's definitely not on before mid March.

The Daily Star has reported that Ali Bastien, Adele Silva and Lucy Pinder strip off for a new film called Strippers v Werewolves which opens on April 27th. The film also stars Coralie Rose, Rita Ramnani and Charlie Bond (Bond's Casting Call Pro page says she won't do nudity) as well as Lysette Anthony and Sarah Douglas. The trailer suggests lots of skimpies but not much nudity but glamour model Pinder is doing her first acting job and is likely to be there for the nudity.

More details on The King Of Soho. "Anna Friel will play Paul's first wife Jean Raymond; Tamsin Egerton his glamour model girlfriend Fiona Richmond; and Imogen Poots will star as Paul's beloved daughter Debbie Raymond". That makes Egerton very likely for nudity, Friel possible (but it's Friel which increases the likelihood) and Poots unlikely. Which is as you'd expect.

BBC2's White Heat had a BFI preview last night. I've not heard any reports but it's been scheduled in the first week of March. This is one of the series I've got hopes for this year. The writer and some of the producers (but not the director) have nudity form and most of the lead actresses do, Claire Foy and Myanna Buring playing the younger versions of the characters and Juliet Stevenson, Sorcha Cusack and Lindsay Duncan playing the older versions. The only lead actress without nudity on her CV is Jessica Gunning.

It's Franky's episode of Skins next week, Dakota Blue Richards has said in interviews that she shags around in the episode and the trailer looks promising. It's the first Skins episode to get an 18 certificate from the BBFC since the second series. There's sod all chance of female nudity though. Skins is showing less of the female regulars this series than it was before. In past series, they've shown "tasteful nudity" from the female regulars up to showing most of the boob but no nipple. In this series, Freya Mavor and Laya Lewis have both had topless scenes that were shot from behind with nothing on show at all, Jessica Sula's sex scene in last week's episode was very carefully shot with no more than a fleeting sideboob.

The Skins girls have a terrible lack of nudity between them even after they've left the series. April Pearson, Hannah Murray and Larissa Wilson have carried on acting since they left 4 years ago, Murray's had more acting jobs than the others. Pearson had a sex scene in Tormented but kept her bra on. Kaya Scodelario is the most successful of the series 3-4 actresses although Lily Loveless has done well, Kathryn Prescott and Lisa Backwell have done less so far and Megan Prescott doesn't seem to have had much acting work since she left. Scodelario and Loveless have had a couple of scenes each with potential for nudity (Bedlam and The Fades for Loveless, Shank and Wuthering Heights for Scodelario). It all makes you wonder if the Skins producers have a policy of advising the girls to never do nudity.

The trailer for Cleanskin is out and shows a sex scene featureing an actress who is very briefly topless. I originally posted that I thought that it's Shivani Ghai who is seen apparently topless later in the trailer but looking again, I think it's a different actress. Michelle Ryan and Tuppence Middleton are in the credits but I'm sure it's not Ryan and I don't think it's Middleton. Two series coming back that have had small amounts of nudity before and are outside chances to have more. The fourth series of Being Human starts on BBC3 on Sunday. Ellie Kendrick is joining the cast as a werewolf so a transformation scene's possible. The second series of Kidnap And Ransom starts on ITV1 later this month, Kimberley Nixon plays a girl called Florence, "when we first meet her she has had a no-strings night with an American tourist".

Even more of an outside chance, Pramface is a BBC3 comedy starring Scarlett Alice Johnson who ends up pregnant. The first episode shows the events that get her pregnant but comedy series don't often do nudity so I doubt we'll see anything.

The BBC warned us of scenes of a sexual nature in the first episode of Inside Men. It was 5 seconds of Steven Mackintosh shagging Nicola Walker (who naturally had her nightclothes on). It had one of those clever things where they cut away and show only the bits before and after Ashley Walters and Leila Mimmack's characters had sex, so no need to show anything. The BBFC have listed sex for episode 3 but I'm not holding my breath.

The first episode of Prisoners' Wives was nudity free but the BBFC have cleared 4 episodes today and listed a scene of strong sex in episode 5. Episodes 2 and 3 haven't been cleared yet. They've also cleared a film called Cleanskin that's due out in March and listed sex in it. Michelle Ryan and Tuppence Middleton are the lead actresses.

The BBC have launched the new series of Upstairs Downstairs with talk of lesbianism between Alex Kingston and Emilia Fox, Laura Haddock adding extra sex appeal and interview quotes like "The love scenes are as raunchy as you can go with the BBC at 9pm on a Sunday". It's bound to all be hype, Birdsong showed that you can go very raunchy at 9pm on a Sunday but Upstairs Downstairs is mainstream BBC1 fair and won't do anything explicit.

The new trailer for Game Of Thrones series 2 seems to show Natalie Dormer topless from the back.

A play called Oedipussy opens at the Royal & Derngate in Northampton on February 7th and is on tour until May. The theatre's website says it contains scenes of nudity. The only actress in the cast is Petra Massey.

BBC1 did give us topless scenes from Clemence Poesy in Birdsong last night. While Poesy doesn't fit the British focus of the blog, it's encouraging to see some clear nudity on BBC1. BBC1 is usually the most nudity shy of our channels when it comes to home made drama and they're especially "sensitive" on a Sunday night, the last time I can remember nudity on BBC1 on a Sunday was in Tess of the D'Urbervilles in 2008.
