That why there came an idea to do something different during these days. Something that will make us to remember every snowy day longer. I started to do snow figures.

First one was igloo and snow car for my children.
They were excited, but I thought: it’s time for something more elaborate. that how my lioness appeared.

Then, snow suddenly melted away, and I was waiting till next winter.

As soon as I’d heard about first snowfall, I started to prepare my gear. Not much really: shuffle, knife and a pair of warm gloves. Ooh yes, you need them when you are sculpting hour or two! Here you go: Snow lad laying in my garden and drinking a glass of Coca Cola. Cola was too hot for her, so her hand fell off and I had to replace it with other. It didn’t help for long. She melted all the very next day.

Snow bears were ready the same  winter. And I must say some people really liked them. I even got published at Evening Express.

Then spring came and I decided to grow plants in my garden instead of bears.

Last winter there wasn’t much snow, it was enough to make a small Crocodile, which didn’t prevent him to escape Press and Journal  release:

Hopefully this winter will be more generous for snow!

ANY GUESSES WHAT IS COMING TO MY WINTER GARDEN NEXT?

Yin and yang are not opposing forces (dualities), but complementary opposites, unseen (hidden, feminine) and seen (manifest, masculine), that interact within a greater whole, as part of a dynamic system. In my interpretation

I was driven by two symbols: The wheel of Dharma and Ying Yang.

A bit of information here:

The Dharma Wheel or Dharmacakra is the oldest symbol in Buddhism.  Buddhism is a world religion with many different schools of thought, but the Dharma Wheel unites all Buddhists

It’s thought symbolized by the eight spokes of the Dharma Wheel. The first two aspects of the path are right view and right intention, which together form wisdom.  The next three aspects, right speech, right action and right livelihood are the guidelines to ethical conduct. The next three aspects, right effort, right mindfulness and right concentration are the guidelines for mental development along the Eightfold Path.

First, the round shape is a symbol of perfection. It is flawless and has no sharp edges. It revolves in the universe and can be turned. At the beginning the wheel had a perfect round shape and was sometime studded , to represent sturdiness. It now common to see the wheel in the shape represented above. It looks like the wheel found on a ship, representing prosperity according to some. It could also be said that the eightfold noble path radiates outside of the sphere, like the heat of the sun radiates out of the sun-disk.

My first try painting on pebbles/stones.

Pebbles are endlessly fascinating. Each one is different and painting would never look the same. Collection of blue butterflies on pebbles. Although pebbles are heavy, the look light with butterflies on it.

A few weeks ago I’ve finished a mural commissioned for a 3 years old boy. He loves Lightening McQueen. After making a few initial sketches about wording, the McQueen settlement and bit of small sketch adjustments, the mural was ready in 2 days!

I am excited to share my project with you here: A Wedding platter for a Lady from CANADA (!!!) The platter is to be signed by guests on the Big day!

It all started from a names, date and tartan cloth which was supposed to go around. Then I thought, that having fabric around wouldn’t leave enough space for guests to sign in. So I came up with hearts and fabric underneath the surname. Susan and Rob suggested a badge and thistles and I though it is a wonderful idea, although we were a bit afraid not to overload the design. That is the finished design and it looks GRAND!!!

What is interesting, I never new that Scottish clans have their own crest each!

A Scottish crest badge is a heraldic badge worn to show allegiance to an individual or membership in a specific Scottish clan. Crest badges are commonly worn by members of Scottish clans. These elements are heraldic property and protected by law in Scotland

Members of Scottish clans are considered, by the “Court of the Lord Lyon” , to be relatives of their clan chief. They can be either immediate family or extended family. Clan members can also be people who only bear the “clan surname” or a name associated with the clan. The Court of the Lord Lyon has also stated that anyone who professes allegiance to both the clan and its chief can be considered a clan member. All clan members may wear the chief’s crest encircled by a strap and buckle inscribed with their chief’s motto or slogan. The strap and buckle symbolizes the membership to the clan and allegiance to the clan chief.
