Number 80!

2012-07-17T23:56:00.000+10:00

Well this IS the 80th post on his...my Personal Blog where I've tried to share SOME of the high & low points of my life as well as both amuse , interest and shock you.

As I mentioned in my last, it's useless continuing with this IF I don't get feedback or a sense of encoragement that people ARE interested.

So I WILL give it a go for a while long to SEE if by words ARE NOT being read or if visitors don't give a rat's arse, then I WILL know where I stand.

As my late father "Bob" would say...

ANY Comments - Remarks - ANYTHING???

2012-07-17T21:42:00.001+10:00

You know ANY comment acknowledging my posts that you've looked at would really BE nice you know.

Otherwise why should I bother! EVERYONE like their efforts to be acknowledged you may appreciate.

Sooo git commenting even if it's one word people, as then I MAY be encouraged to post more often and it WOULD give me a sense of it IS worthwhile to continue.

Years since I first posted back in 2008 and 80 Posts later with just three comments and it's clear no one has even subscribed to my feed so you may understand WHY I raise this finally...hell I get more attention on Facebook!

Up to you all my friends & passer by's

By best

Looks really good...you never know?

Worth a D/L if ONLY to READ on the BOG!

Heh heh!

Funny about the title "Doom" was a game as a young fellow in the late 80's I used to play at ALL hours on the PC.

Medical Feather - IV Assist by Adrian Borsoï » Yanko Design

Just goes it show you all the amazing advances in medical tech nowdays...this produre is so common in hospital and now they have made it so much easier and less painful to do.

I wish they had something like this when I was in for all those months, I had I.V's running for months but for a time I WAS doped up so part of that time, it didn't worry me.

I really don't know...it's oh, WHY ME!

Cars...the bane of my existence it seems.

Bloody beast wouldn't start last nite, 2nd time since I had it it's done that, looks like a NEW battery outlay NOW on top of two OTHER items I've discovered SINCE I bought it home.

Both bonnet & tailgate struts are "rooted" so MORE expense, although finding parts on e-bay so cost wise not too bad, just annoying me no end!

They saw me coming alright. Bastard's!

Yeah Movie "Abraham Lincoln vs Zombies" watched it the other nite

Heh heh....suits my mood NOW!

Ah well...it could only get worse!

ShelTox - Page 1 of 3

2012-05-17T12:53:00.001+10:00

For those (who EVER you may be or CARE)

My Tumblr page...

ShelTox

Yeah "ShelTox" - a nickname I picked up in school...short lived I might add!

It originally came by the popular (at the time) brand name of fly-strips and (gawd...I'm shown ma age here!)
"bug reaper juice" (fly spray) products that were heavily promoted on T.V (adds) and sold here in Australia when I was growing up in the 70's

I just stumbled across "Tumblr", it's an odd, endlessly stream, if weirdly comfortable place (for me) to both post-re post others work, as well as share with like-minded people on various subjects that most probably to be considered TOO extreme for most blogs and other forums.

I mean I've SEEN stuff that would make "iron-man" blush!

Well, as they say in "MY" classics...

Interesting post I ran across...Though provoking!

2012-05-14T01:51:00.001+10:00

From my favorite blogger "Tina" (Tbot) a "Tumblr"
(ain't most odd-damaged people hang out there? - I do). blogger.

She's often, spot on, in expressing how people like us REALLY feel about things we don't always verbalize or post about.

Take this snip...

Charles Bukowski, "Tales of Ordinary Madness"
- I must get a copy.

This is just me borrowing something else I liked.

Update: Car - & other stuff!

Greetings

Well my car had the dick!

Seems age has well and truly "rooted" it rust-wise so it's off to the "knackers yard" for my Ford EB Falcon aka the "Cancer Car" as one mate called it due to the bonnet's peeling paintwork!.

Looking around for another "bomb" doing it on-line with email alerts o my criteria, NOT a bad way to hunt I think...should see a result soon BUTT I'm taking my time as to NOT to be hasty and buy a "lemon" with problems.

Health is so so, due in a week or so to check in the my G.P and get the ball rolling for referral to hospital to sort out my damn nerve damage and swelling in my left foot with IS playing merry hell with my mobility at present.

I've heard tonight my old cadet outfit the AAFC (formerly ATC - Air Training Corps (AIRTC in my day) is forming an Alumni association for former cadets, and Instructors - Officers and Airmen, which I was the latter...A humble L.A.C!

Be interesting to see if they get it off the ground, late 1980 I joined serving appointed for 5 Years with 24 Flight at Cleveland Street Boys High School, Sydney and Camden Field Training Flight at Camden, NSW.

Indeed WHERE ARE THEY NOW???

Happy days, we had a lot of great times and adventures a plenty.

I did exchange training with our local Ares (Army Reserve) SUR - Sydney University Regiment and had a memorable "shoot" at Holsworthy one weekend firing The S.L.R, L4A4 "Bren" Machine Gun, sitting out in the rain watching "Cross of Iron" old WWII German war movie, they used a truck with a white white as a screen for the projector powered by a petrol generator!

My "oppo" and I were the only "blue jobs" amongst the ranks but dressed in field gear & greens, no one had a clue officer-wise who we were!

The Regiment's Padre (chaplain) at the lunch line (we had "freshie's" - real hot food) and said" "How are you soldier?", heh heh... my oppo and I pulled out our blue service dress caps, put them on, stood to attention and replied...cheekily ..."Fine boss, LAC Price at your service" and shook his hand!

It got a faff and the chaplain had something to B.S with the others officers in their mess later.

The guys and girls used to drop in to our "all ranks" mess, were I was the bar member and on a Friday nite and I spent a number of pleasant hours with both the "diggers" and the occasional officer or two playing mess bar games, "Cardinal Puff", Moriarty, where are you? and other "drinking" games, ALL designed to get you shit-faced!.

Grand days and nites indeed.

How are things?

2012-02-27T01:50:00.001+11:00

Well, as for me, pretty much settled into my flat here in Berkeley...I can't believe it's been just over 3 months since I moved in!
Count 6 months since I got out of hospital.

Niggley health problems still dog me but I refuse to let it get on top of me, next life challenge is get another car before end of March, so am keeping an "eagle eye" on the on-line adds like in our local region via "Trading Post", "Gum Tree" another good one, just plan to get something old but runs...like ALL my cars have been.

Next Doc's visit I will get referral to the local hospital (Wollongong) here, I OWE then a box of chockie's up in I.C.U for saved me anyway!

Plan to get a proper check up and ensure the issues I'm having get addressed.
Just need to get in for an appointment date FIRST!

After much trials & tribulations my internet connection SEEMS to be behaving it self now so I'm able to do much more I'm pleased to report.
I hope now to be able to HAVE more "contact" with people I know unlike before...We shall see.

What's your WebStory today?

Words And Reliance NOT!

2012-02-05T22:35:00.000+11:00

On my Google + page I am subscribed to some very insightful people including this one.

Sharing her post, as no truer words have ever been so artfully articulated in a post that I've seen, till now...

Believe me or go suck a raw lemon!

Note In MY case, I can say at least I can count on both my "paws" the people WHO I can count on, I learn't that during my medical misfortunes last year.

Unfortunately you do learn some VERY unpleasant "home truths" about your "inner circle" too!
Having said that I'm NOT bitter...just a late realist and sharing some thoughts.

No one I know is reliable. Isn’t that sad? And the worse part is when a person only engages in conversation with you or seems interested in you , when they’re bored and need time to fill and the person they really care about isn’t around. Empty promises. Useless souls.

I’m too used to this.

In honor of our Aussie Day!

G'day my friends in the void!

Blog at long last

2011-12-24T16:10:00.000+11:00

Well having gone to GoogleG+ I decided to retain my blog as there's so much on here that I coulden't be "arsed" to transfer it all.

This Christmas I have a lot to be thankful for, my life, my friends (You know Who you are) and the ability to be sending you all this message.

I WAS worried that I may "buy the farm" but certain good people prayed for me and now I just gotta get on with it and hope that's enough.

Thanks!

2011-12-19T16:26:00.001+11:00

My best to all my fellow list members and net cobbers out there - "Tongue in cheek" my as usual to those that know me too well my latest personalized Christmas message!

NOT to be taken TOO seriously Bit of fun here!

Telly - Who'd I Forget?

2011-12-08T02:17:00.001+11:00

Now who else did I forget...Mmmmm, oh yeah;

Torchwood, Miracle Day (2011)

The four season of this kick ass originally an English series.
Cap't Jack IS Back!

Warehouse 13 - There got some really cool crap here!

Sanctuary

Death Valley (2011)

For me, the perfect mix - Vampires, and other "sup's" - Supernaturals like Werewolves mixing it up with cops.

New Telly - Homeland (2011)

2011-12-08T01:50:00.000+11:00

And ya thought you'd hear the last of my T.V picks...HAH!

Ran across this few days ago and by Jingo, it's a beauty.
Stars Claire Danes (The Lead Female Character), supported by Mandy Patinkin known in "Criminal Minds", "Chicago Hope".

Homeland's principle male lead is English actor Damian Lewis (Marine Sgt Scott Brody) but possibly best known for his role in "Band of Brothers" as Maj. Dick Winters & "Life" playing the role of the odd ball detective.

It's a Counter-terrorism drama.

So...

Reno 911! (Reruns)

Operation Repo - YEAH...It's a fake and cheeshy! - I like Matt!

Hardcore Pawn - Luv Les and his bitchin' daughter - she's the sales person from hell but you can't help admire her.

Les just loves to have the last word - Good on him!

American Pickers - Now wouldn't we ALL like to do this, I know I've have but I've NOT got these guys know how or balls to go into some of these "good ole boys" houses!.

Pimp My Ride - Love how they create amazing rides out of "bangers" - in other words Absolute Crap!

Supernatural - Ole' Sam & Dean still fightin' the righteous fight!

The Walking Dead Season 02 keeps getting better - having not watched much yet, I'm taking my time - I think it's that good! I like stuff about Zombies - Guess that's the GUY in me!.

True Blood - We only get it here IF you'll got PAY-TV and it's WAY too expensive so it's D/L time or order the DVDs from O.S (overseas). Season 4 Just finished watching and it was a beauty!

Fringe - Reruns at the moment here, quite odd but entertaing - I like "Walter" and the funny out of the blue sayings he comes out with!.

Sons of Anarchy - Yet to see Season 2 yet, The first of outstanding.

Rush (Australian) Just finished final series here, interesting at first, but suffered from too many personal/romantic cringes and their marksmanship left a lot to be desired If they were suppose to be portraying real life "Soggie's" (special ops).

Yeah yeah I know...It's ONLY T.V!

Blue Bloods

Burn Notice - I like the hints & explanations of spy craft, given in such a droll tone!

NCIS - I catch it depending on the write up in the guide or the promo, afraid the writers are letting the series down after a good few years.

These ARE a beauty!
