Earthquake in Virginia / DC area felt up the east coast... supposedly 3.7 miles deep, some report feeling the shaking in roxbury, via tweet.

Wasn't there a doomsday theory about an earthquake coming to that same area?

Haven't heard of any casualties.

Ray Allen topping the all time 3 point scoring record, over a notable shooter in his own right Reggie Miller, remember him??

Ray having the opportunity to make the mark in a game against the LA lakers as a Boston Celtic made for a spectacular and historic event.
None have said they doubted that he would take the spot, it was just a matter or when and in what way.

Ray Allen has made his mark in the NBA in other ways that are numerous and will be noticed upon his retirement (no time soon we hope) but for now BIG UP!! Ray (or is is Jesus) on your accomplishment... it is well deserved!

3D movies have been hit or miss since the last post. In fact a majority of the movies released have been hit or miss, even or especially those that were converted to 3D after filming, due to who knows what.

The following article is from a guy who writes for something called culture vulture, I don't think they know what it means... stealing others culture for profit or other reason, usually just for profit. He does make a good point of bogus 3-D movies and the theaters looking to increase the price tag... plastic 3-D glasses are about $4, not bad except you can't use them for any other film, the theaters want you to buy new ones... talk about vultures. No hotdog this time around son gotta pay for the glasses...
When will they learn.

If all you read are the box-office grosses -- and that's all some people in Hollywood read -- then 3-D is here to stay.

This weekend, the fantasy adventure "Clash of the Titans" hauled in $61.4 million at the box office, a record for the Easter weekend. What's more, just over half the theaters playing the movie did so in 3-D -- which meant about $10 million of the weekend haul, according to Box Office Mojo, came from the extra $2 or $3 theaters charge for those plastic glasses.

"Clash of the Titans" might have scored even higher, if many of the limited number of 3-D-ready screens nationwide weren't already booked with DreamWorks' "How to Train Your Dragon." That movie made $29.2 million in its second weekend, for a 10-day take of $92.3 million.

Meanwhile, Disney's "Alice in Wonderland" -- which debuted last month in 3-D and 2-D formats -- crossed the $300 million mark just before the weekend.

And, of course, there's the granddaddy of them all, James Cameron's "Avatar," which is now up to $742 million in the United States, much of that from 3-D screenings.

So that's all there is to making money in Hollywood today, huh? Slap a few computer-generated effects together, make a few big scary monsters jump out at the audience and spill their popcorn, and rake in the bucks -- what could be easier?

in the 1950s when 3-D's first wave hit theaters.

Think about why 3-D was introduced back then. It was one of the tricks -- along with CinemaScope and similar wide-screen technologies, and such outlandish gimmicks as "Odorama" (scratch-and-sniff cards to accompany movies) and "Percepto" (joy buzzers installed under theater seats by the late, great William Castle) -- designed to get people to leave their TV sets and return to movie theaters.

Of course, that's also why 3-D is being promoted so heavily now.

The problems with 3-D in the '50s -- the reasons the technique didn't take off -- included the choppy projection, the cheap cardboard glasses, and the fact that a lot of crappy movies employed 3-D without thinking about how to incorporate it into the storytelling.

Today, digital projection and plastic glasses have taken care of two of those problems. But 3-D can't fix bad moviemaking, no matter how much the studios may try to make that happen.

"Clash of the Titans" and "Alice in Wonderland" are prime examples. Both were "converted" 3-D films, originally filmed in 2-D with the stereoscopic effects added via computer after the fact.

With "Clash of the Titans," the 3-D effects are barely noticeable. You could take off the glasses during "Clash" and notice little more than an occasional blurry or double image. This made it handy if you felt the urge, as I did, to take a nap during the generic action sequences.

On the other hand, "How to Train Your Dragon" was well into production when the decision was made to go 3-D. But, being a computer-animated film, converting to 3-D is a comparatively simple matter of juggling around a few pixels to create images with that parallax effect. The result was breathtaking, not sleep-inducing.

Cameron, in an interview last month with USA Today , warned against cheap-and-dirty conversions. "They're converting 'Clash of the Titans' in eight weeks," Cameron said. "But I'm guessing six months to a year to do it right."

Some 70 movies in 3-D are in the studio pipeline right now, according to The New York Times . Some, like "Toy Story 3," were designed to be 3-D. Some will be converted 3-D, and will be done well.

But if too many are like "Clash of the Titans" -- done on the cheap, aiming to enhance the profit margin rather than the story -- the audience will soon grow tired of being ripped off, and they'll stop going to 3-D movies the way they did in the '50s.

The basehead turned and launched a bottle at the car causing the windshield to shatter.
Steve skid and sideswiped a pole, trying to avoid the bottle.
The basehead turned to continue running, ron came out of no-where and pumped two shots into the his chest with the double barrel, the echoing sound was deafening.
As ehcos was checking to see if steve was good. steve pointed to a guy who had a shotgun aimed at rons head.
ehcos yelled for ron to duck, as he flopped to the ground like a bag of sand, a flash and a bang sounded.
The shotgun blast had barely missed ron and the guy turned in bewilderment running toward the Cadillac.
ehcos pointed his 38 toward the guy and started firing while giving chase, chopping the guy with bullets until he dropped.

The driver of the Cadillac burned out of his parking spot, and headed directly toward ehcos.
As ehcos turned to run a Hittersquad jeeped smashed the side of the Cadillac.
The driver's head crashed through the windshield as the car whipped in a circle.
ehcos turned to head back to where the max was, steph was already turning onto the legion.
One was behind him.
Infinite gave the signal for everyone to be out.
steve yelled to ehcos to jump in the blazer, as the hittersquad and two headed toward the parking lot exits.
The blazer pulled to a stop, the passenger door flew open and ehcos jumped in.
The sound of sirens had already began to fill the air, getting louder and louder.
The fellas split up and headed back to the check point.

One of the guys looked like a "crackhead", very skinny and had shifty eyes.
The next dude was about six feet and was very stocky.
The third guy was short and fat, he had a bag of groceries.
As the six footer opened the door to the max, the look of fear came across his face.
Before he could let go of the handle, steph had already let off two shots to his knees, he folded like a chair. As he went down, Fred helped him by bashing him on the back, with the clubs. The crowds of people began running into the stores and the street, screaming and yelling, while others got out of harms way by laying on the ground.

The fat dude of the three turned away and ran, but was no match for Moe's speed.
Moe jumped in the air and landed a kick into the small of his back.
As he went down, a couple soldiers from the hittersquad converged on him with boots and bats.
The fat guy pulled a gun from his waste and let off one shot, spinning one of the soldiers with a through and through shot in the shoulder.
They scattered as he let off more shots, got to his feet and scrambled through cars in the lot.
Before anyone could react, Infinite was already chasing him.
As he ran two sped to his side and he skid hopped on the jeep.
They got closer to the fat guy, when suddenly, a loud pop rang out and the fat guys body lifted in the air, and he landed on his back.
He held his gun up and fired shots wildly, breaking the rear window of the jeep. When he stopped firing, Shawn and Kris took his gun away from him and jumped back in the jeep. Infinite was astonished as he wiped his face.

Is our health going to be determined by the health care industry. Not really but maybe so, since the prospect of making money has become part of the discussion. Of course the costs associated with taking care of the "sick" are of importance.

The numbers are staggering to say the least()
The amount is indicative of the population's needs or better the level of unhealthy people in the usa, not just the aging baby boomers also children and the disabled.
Not to mention veterans, homeless and those incarcerated.
There are those that are not on any type of health insurance.
A missing piece of the conversation is perhaps the same as what is destroying the public school system, lack of support for teachers, that is the heath care providers. Not just the doctors. The steps being taken to help them to control the costs of providing care should be a part of the conversation. Not sure industry should be the term used in managing this need, perhaps homeland security fits better, surely we take care of our own in a cost effective way.

ehcos and steve were the last to leave the parking lot.
Echos told steve that he had seen the max by the record store spot and wanted to go back by there.
Steve thought is was a good idea, so they went.
On their way down blue hill, they passed two who was flashing them.
Steve hit the speed dial button on the visor phone to see what was up.
"Yo, waddup?" he asked.
"Hittersquad just seen them go down 'merican legion with a caddy behind them," shawn replied, " we just got the call!"
"Word we on our way then!" Steve replied as his phone chirped, "I just got the text now!"
ehcos called infinite to adjust the plan.
Infinite told them to take the Legion from blue hill side since the other side was covered.
One was gonna come through from Morton, two was gonna be at the plaza on purity side, Hittersquad was setting up at all the lights.
They made a U-turn and followed behind two.
When they reached the legion, the visor phone rang, Steve answered, "waddup?"
"They at the purity, off the legion," reese answered, "Hittersquad's on surveillance, we converging now!"
"its on!" ehcos shouted
"gotdamnright!,"steve agreed, accelerating and slapping hands with ehcos.

They pulled into the parking lot behind two. one was behind them.
Steph jumped out of the ride, ran to the max holding his waste, and got inside.
Moe did the same and Fred followed him with miniature golf clubs in hand.
ehcos and steve parked next to the max on the drivers side.
Rock parked the Blazer in front of the Max and lay his 9mm on the dash.
Two parked on the passenger side of the Max, after a shopper pulled away.
The Hittersquad separated and surrounded the lot, blending in with the crowd.
They all waited and watched the automatic door at purity as it opened releasing people, like water dripping from a faucet.
Young couples were the only people coming out for a while, which seemed like forever.

Are you surprised that the balloon boy incident was a hoax. Is it a sign of things to come or as they are? The current celebrity status addiction that is going around like the H1N1 virus has many in a frenzy behind whatever gets attention by the media. The prospect of a young boy being trapped in an air balloon is something that garners attention however when the episode turns out to be a publicity stunt it certainly does not give credit to the media source.

The Rule of High School
Any sufficiently overheated industry will eventually resemble high school. High school is filled with insecurity, social climbing, backbiting, false friends, faux achievements, high drama and not much content. Much of this insecurity comes from a market that doesn't make good judgments, that doesn't understand how to reliably choose between alternatives. So it turns into a popularity contest.

As Tom Hanks reportedly said, "Hollywood is like high school, but with money."

Or the fashion magazine industry, which is high school but with more makeup.

Add to that the Internet, which is like high school but with a modem.

Or Twitter, which is high school but only 140 characters at a time.

As in high school, the winners are the ones who don't take it too seriously and understand what they're trying to accomplish. Get stuck in the never ending drama (worrying about what irrelevant people think) and you'll never get anything done. The only thing worse than coming in second place in the race for student council president is... winning.

What do you charge the most for in your business?

Something hit me like a ton of bricks over the head on one of David Neagle's Recession Rescue calls a few weeks back. His co-coach on this particular call was Suzanne Evans of HelpMorePeople.com.

What Suzanne said on the call was this:

"That which is easiest for us is what we should charge the most for."

When she said that I literally stopped in my tracks... because I have been pretty much doing the exact opposite!

It wasn't something that I was consciously thinking of, but when I look back over the years i've seen myself charging for my services based on "this is pretty easy for me to do, so i'll charge X." And so I would charge a lesser amount than I theoretically could have because it was EASY for me to do... and because I was raised with the belief that in order to make money it takes hard work - which is something i'm recovering from... ;)

I know for me - and I think this is true for many of us - I suffer from 'I can't see the forest for the trees' syndrome. It's easy to think that the things that come easily to me and that I do naturally would be the same for others. And yet i've been learning over the years that simply isn't true.

Has this ever happened to you? You do something for a client, and they come back and say "wow, I don't know how you did that! thanks!!!"... and in the back of your mind you are thinking "what's the big deal? it was easy... anyone could have done it."

When that happens stop yourself right there and take a breath... you may have just tapped into your own brilliance and not even realized it! What comes easiest to us is quite often our gifts... what we have to offer to the world and be of service.

Our own gifts are quite often invisible to us unless we purposely look for them. If you aren't clear on what your gifts are ask someone - a client, a colleague or a friend. I remember a few years back when one of my coaches gave me the task of emailing a few people to ask "what do you consider to be my best talent? what am i really good at?"... and the answers were quite illuminating, as again... most of them were things that were really easy to me.

Our gifts, that which comes easy to us, are truly the best way to serve the world... and I understand now that yes, we should be charging the most for those things!

I challenge you this week - take inventory of your gifts, and consider how your gifts apply to what you are offering in your business. In my case i've come to recognize that I haven't even been offering some of my best gifts in my business... and am making some changes to reflect that. Perhaps you will uncover some gems in your own biz?

The pressure on his chest caused him to wake. When he opened his eyes, Lisa lay on top of him, chin on chest, gazing at him. Her stare, like that of a black panther, sent a tingle down his spine. She then got on knees and hands and he studied her silhouette. She wore a short sleeve, satin shirt that was almost transparent. Not fully awake he wondered why the shirt looked familiar. It was his.

"Had a rough night?" she asked suductively.

"Yeah, kinda rough. We caught them fuckas though," he replied.

"I missed you," she interrupted before he could say another word, "did you miss me?" she continued.

"Yes, I missed you," he answered.

The thought overcame him like waves of water on rafters. He really had missed being with her, even for such a short time, though it hadn't occured to him until she asked.

Lisa snatched him back from his thoughts by putting her hands on his shoulders. She lowered her head toward his face, her bobbed hairstyle tickled his cheek, erotically. She grabbed his top lip with both of hers, sucking as if tasting the juicy sweetness of a slice of an orange. She licked his lips from left to right and top to bottom, then grabbed the bottom lip as she had done the top. His lips connected to hers, like a magnet to metal. Their tongues fought playfully, like kittens pawing each other, to and from their mouths.

She sat straddled on his waste, like a jockey. Her left hand explored the crease of his chest. Her fingers slid down the crease of his chest, into the maze of his washboard stomach, like a leaf flowing down stream and into a river. He traced her silhouette with his hands starting at her knee, up her thighs, to her waist and then her breasts. He messaged her breast in a circular motion, starting from the origin working his way to her nipples, like an artist crafting a clay vase. His left hand slid down her stomach, underneath her vickies and her parted her lips with his fingers. He slowly moved his finger in and out of her in sync with his heartbeat. Her eyes closed slightly with every stroke. She purred softly. Her fingers escaped the maze and slid under his boxers. She massaged him slowly, to the rhythm that his finger engaged her. After a moment she stopped and thrust him inside her, as a panther would take time to study it's prey before going for the kill. He let out a roar and clenched her breast tighter. Her hips clashed with his, like a small ship sailing into rough waters, crashing up and down and side to side. Minutes passed like centuries. Lisa's purr went to a humming sound. Her body vibrated just as his body began to jerk. Their hips locked as their muscles tightened. Time seemed to stand still. They clenched one another as though electricity had passed through their bodies.
Suddenly, they relaxed. Lisa lay on top him, still gripping his shoulders. They looked one another in the eyes, again. She lay her head on his chest and he kissed the top of her head and soon they fell off to sleep.

After service it was time for the meet.
The take for the weekends activities was highter than normal.
The buzz was that it had to do with a couple of celebrations: a birthday party and an anniversary.
The peanut butter was spreading pretty well bringing in the bread on one of the operations.
There were a few flies in the soup, messing up the seasoning.
The fellas were already in the area when he arrived.
Some finishing off food and drinks sitting in their rides. Others were at one of the nearby food spots doing the same.
As he opened the door the cell phone rang.
YO said ehcos
The traffic on the ave by morning star is holding me up steve said
anybody need to get picked up?
ehcos repeated what he said as he walked into the room.
No one responded.
He spoke back into the phone.
Nah. pick up the last two parts of the potion.

The meeting was shorter than normal. The afternoon had gone by without much happening. ehcos had changed clothes and was geting materials together it was approaching the time for the battle.
He snacked on his favorite fruit while waiting for his ride to show up.
He had known the fruit guy before the stand had been opened.
The guy was someone he knew from his child hood days.
As he stood on the corner an old female aquaintance pulled to a stop at the red light.
They caught each others eye when she looked over in his direction.
The window rolled down as she waived to him.
What's up she said more than asked
Someole was his reply.
I haven't seen you in a while she said
it has been a while he agreed
she gave the I will call you signal, after the honk of the car horn, as the car window rolled up and the car rolled through the intersection.
He said nice car as she drove off.
The smile that appeared on her face let him know she would call.
As he looked at the time, his ride turned the corner and pulled in front of him.
He looked around to the fruit stand guy holding up the core of the apple before tossing it, the fruit stand guy gave an approving nod.
ehcos climbed in the back seat of the sedan.
Greetings he said as he sat down.
The car was cool from the a/c,so too were the drinks in the cooler.
He took the bottle of ginger beer and gave dap to both the driver and front passenger.
He took out the notes from the meeting to review.
