I’ve been seeing lots of images lately floating around the blogosphere that remind me of alice in wonderland for some reason…a little magical/kind of fantastical feeling. Has anyone else been seeing the same thing?

10 Things I Learned this Weekend:

1. It’s hard to live on less that $15 a day
2. But not as hard as it is to live on $2 a day {many, many, many, people all over the world do this…which makes me feel like a brat for complaining about my $15.}
3. I never find anything worthwhile at H&M. {I should stop going there…}
4. Don’t go to the F21 in Union Square in SF on the weekend. It’s a cluster.
5. I ♥ gambling. {but we already knew this}
6. Women can do anything…including win big awards for AMAZING films. {thanks, Oscars}
7. Straightening my new hair doesn’t actually take that long. {45 mins, tops}
8. I don’t hang out with my cousin enough.
9. There are NO worthwhile fabric stores in SF, and it absolutely BLOWS my mind. {if anyone has any recommendations, let me know}
10. Table service at nightclubs is THE way to go…{until someone at the table next to us pukes. gross.}

or some variation of it this weekend. My cousin is coming over for a day of crafting. I haven’t seen her in almost three months (crazy), so I’m pretty excited.

• Spending time with FJ before he leaves for Europe

Has anyone else seen these Moroccan ottomans floating around lately? I seem to be seeing poufs in general a lot and I think the small round shape would work well in my teeny space and extra seating. I like the toughness of the leather, and it would also serve as a place for my laptop or feet. Then again, maybe a little acrylic or glass coffee table would work too?

I also a-d-o-r-e this rug. If anyone sees a similar/cheaper version, let me know! $179 is a little out of my price range at this point.

 We’re only 1 day away from FRIDAY! And in other positive news, I ordered a bunch of garment fabric 2 weeks ago, and it FINALLY shipped yesterday. I can’t wait! OPB Sew Along here I come!

You guys rock, seriously.

I was going to call these Life Lessons, but I’m not sure they’ll really guide me through my entire life. So I settled on Little Lessons instead, and I’m thinking it’s going to become a weekly post, inspired by “10 things I learnt” on Being Brazen.

1. Sometimes there is no time to craft. Even if it’s a priority in your life.
2. I overextended myself last week. NOT a good idea.
3. 5 year old boys are great at sound effects
4. The biggest benefit of cloth diapers is NO diaper rash.
5. I will be a good mom.
6. Sleep fixes everything.
7. It’s good to support small biz, but sometimes the turnaround isn’t great. {note to self…}
8. Shopping with Kristen can be trouble.
9. All iphone covers are ugly {if you have found a cute one, let me know!}
10. There is a scrapbooking store in San Francisco!

I did a lot hanging out with Married Friends, Pregnant Friends, and Friends with Kids this week. Can you tell?? But I did learn a lot…AND I am sad to lose 2 more friends to the East Coast {Boo, East Coast}.

P.S. Is anyone as excited for Alice in Wonderland as I am?

And then I also just remembered that I was a sailor for Halloween, and that made me happy, too. Too bad I lost those gold earrings that night, though.

After I hung these, I did one more just because, but I don’t have a picture of it yet. Overall pleased, but it makes me want to do a for real inspiration board, like the ones over at Made by Girl & Ish & Chi.
