It's funny how you forget about some pieces after you buy them. Like this Equipment shirt I thrifted late last spring that I am now wearing for the very first time. Or these vintage Ralph Lauren pants I also thrifted late last summer that I was so excited about, yet I've worn them maybe three items. Regardless it is fun to mix it up once in a while, or a lot of the while, and shop your already existing closet.

Like my long lost wardrobe pieces, I have not yet announced on this blog that I am now a Teen Vogue Fashion Click Blogger! I was over the moon when I got the e-mail a few weeks ago, and almost cultivated the news to myself but I owe it to my awesome followers to let you all know. I pulled over in between the commute from my internship at FOAM Magazine and Free People gig to debut one of my favorite pieces from my recent Nasty Gal haul, the Edie Faux Fur Coat! Perfect for the occasionally chilly Southern California days thanks to the three-quarter length sleeves. I am currently enjoying the final weekend of my obnoxiously long "winter vacation". School starts Monday, goodbye and spec of free time!

American Apparel 'Disco Pants' Jeffrey Campbell 'Busted'

A lot of new additions to my life including these American Apparel Disco Pants, Jeffrey Campbell Busted's, and an internship at FOAM Magazine! Although I am overwhelmingly busy between my three jobs and now the internship, I am in a very good place in my life and am really enjoying this new year. I started my internship last week and I am fascinated to be in the midst of the making of a magazine. I have already learned so much and I am only in the second week. I know I haven't been updating this blog as frequently because my lack of free time so make sure to catch up with my on Instagram @jennahhughes. The weather has been spoiling Los Angeles the past few days. With tempertures in the high 70's, pieces of my spring wardrobe are creeping out. A new addition are my Vagabond Dee Leather Ankle Boots that I snatched up from the Urban Outfitters sale in December. They are a stray from my staple black booties, but they will be especially fun during the warmer months.

If you follow me on Instagram (@jennahhughes) then you would know that I recently made a purchase from Nastygal. Truth be told it was my first time ordering from the cult favorite online store. I snatched up the Horseshoe Pendant, which is now on sale for $3.75, along with a few other pieces. Jeez. I paired the pendant with my favorite Rag & Bone asymmetrical tunic and a vintage green studded motorcycle jacket that I have literally been wearing since fifth grade. These DV by Dolce Vita 'Joust' booties have been practically glued to my feet for the past few months. Luckily I picked up a new pair of burgundy Vagabond booties that will be featured in a post very very soon!

2012 not only went by in a blur, but a flurry of changes. At some points a personal style blog may seem narcissistic or superficial, but looking back at some of these photos bring me back to exactly what was happening that day. Ultimately this blog serves as a visual diary with hints of coded excerpts as to remind myself of the instantaneous emotions. The fluctuations in my style throughout the months and seasons are really amusing in hindsight. I am completely ready to leave 2012 behind as I am anxiously awaiting all the exciting opportunities around the corner in 2013. This leather jacket and these booties have grown to be my daily go-to-when-in-doubt pieces. The weather is finally nice enough to allow me to begin to wear my absurd collection of silk blouses. This one is a vintage Dana Buchman that a thrifted back in the summer time. The collar has the most beautifully intricate lace design that flow throughout the blouse. Finals are peeping around the corner as well as my much anticipated vacation. Happy Monday!
