Blast form the Past: Nice, Monaco, Cinque Terre

Here I was in Nice, Paris...Monaco....and Cinque Terre, Italy! Nice was so much fun! Monaco had such interesting history and architecture. And Cinque Terre was absolutely beautiful!

The last picture is me in the middle of a hike across all five towns of Cinque Terre! It was so hot and the hike took almost four hours, but in the end it was worth it. Hence how awesome I look ;)

Last summer I traveled with my best friend and a group of kids from my high school all across Europe for three weeks! It was the most amazing experience and I learned so much, not only about the culture but about myself. So I decided to post some of the pictures that I have never shared!

Grammy's 2012: Best Dressed

Katy Perry in Elie Saab, Norman Silverman jewels, Christian Louboutin heels. I'm not sure if anyone can dislike this dress. It reminds me of the sky on that perfect crisp spring afternoon as the birds chirp and flowers bloom. Katy looks like a goddess and the blue hair totally works.

Taylor Swift in Zuhair Murad, Prada shoes, and Neil Lane jewels. Very mature look. I'm glad she stayed true to her style with the sequins and neutral color. Taylor is growing up!

Rihanna in custom Giorgio Armani, Neil Lane jewels, Christian Louboutin heels, Jimmy Choo clutch. Might be my favorite dress of the night...tied with Katy Perry's Elie Saab. This custom Armani is honestly the epitome of sexy and all things Rihanna. The plunging v, thigh high slit, halter, and completely exposed back could be overkill to some...but to me this is perfection. I think it is the classic black that makes it work. The shoes and accessories also make this a homerun.

Corrine Baliey Rae in Chrisitan Siriano. I love the girly, playful ruffles and those platforms are so much fun!

Followill brothers of the Kings of Leon in Gucci. My boys! In case I haven't mentioned it five million times, Kings of Leon are my number one favorite music group of all time! Love a man in a suit...especially you Jared.

Mika Newton. Totally loving the lace bodice and open back. Very sophisticated sexy. Also one of the few trains that I enjoyed from the night.

Greta Bech. What can I say, I am a sucker for sequins. Love the champagne color against her plae skin and the v shaped line on the bodice.

Paris Hilton in Basil Soda. I never thought the day would come that Paris Hilton would make it on to my best dress list. "Hate her, love the dress"

DIY: Lace Wedges

My first DIY post! After an interesting night of partying with my best friends, my brand new faux suede wedges had an unhappy ending when one of my friends got sick all over them. Just my luck! So I decided to remake these shoes and cover up their unfortunate history.

Step 1: Supplies: Fabric glue that is dated in the 90's, brightly colored scissors, and and old lace top or any other fabric!

Step 2: Lay the lace on top of the shoe to form a pattern

Step 3: Glue all loose edges of the lace taut and hold until tacky

Step 4: Repeat on other shoe! Glue will dry clear

Step 5: Now party consciously...and make sure when holding your friend's hair back that she misses your made over heels!

Beautiful weekend spent in Santa Monica. I am enjoying this summer weather but dreading the moment that it fades away to the "winter" that Los Angeles usually endures. I am predicting that because of this perfect weather right now that when it comes to June, we are going to experience gloom well into July. Let's hope that is not the case.
Well now I am at my Sunday morning yoga class and ending the weekend of a low key note. Last week of the quarter beings on Monday!

Clean white buttons ups allow floral prints to be wearable for the more conservative. Knee length hem lines and gloves reminisce of dainty women gossiping over tea on the porch during the summertime.

Hexa by Kuho

Uneven hemlines emphasize a thicker and more sophisticated take on fringe for the warmer seasons. Color blocking with a non color. Playing with fall's burgundy in consecutive seasons.

Had a great day strolling around Main Street, visiting some on my favorite stores, boutiques, and thrift shops. Picked up the perfect summer maxi skirt with a bohemian vibe as well as some pastels for a surprise coming soon! However, my cherished Target motorcycle boots that I wear way too often failed me today. The rubber heel completely fell off as I was taking my boots off. Oh well, I guess you get what you pay for. I will probably fix them up because I cannot live without them yet. I also have been having a super laid back week in terms of my outfits. Jeans almost everyday? It must be the effect of my winter quarter ending and finals approaching.

My hair is starting to look really dark on top for what I am used to. I wanted to grow out my highlights for the oh-so-famous ombre effect. Recently I have been contemplating if I should just re-do my highlights because I'm not really sure if I am digging the darkness. What do you think I should do?

Screen Actor's Guild 2012: Best Dressed

I must admit that overall the red carpet last night did not leave me in awe. Of course everyone looked acceptable for the even but there was no "wow" factor.

Emma Stone in Alexander McQueen dress, shoes, and clutch, and Tiffany Co. jewels. Contradicting my prior statement, Emma Stone did excite me. She has such class, sophistication, and well earned respect. She always dresses tastefully yet takes a risk. I love the full skirt and tea length of the dress. And I am obsessed with the clutch!

Sarah Hyland in Temperley and Casadei shoes. I love this dress but I do not think it flatters Sarah's petite silhouette. The seam of the dress doesn't seem tailored in the bodice, therefore not emphasizing her tiny waist. I do like the beading and the sleeves.

Lea Michele in Versace, Casadei shoes, and Lorraine Schwartz jewels. Lea Michele is always a hit or miss in my opinion. I do give her credit for always taking a risk. I admire the thigh high slit and silver fabric, but I feel like something is missing.

Renee Bargh in Basil Soda. I am not going to lie...I had no idea who Renee Bargh was prior to researching the designer of her dress. However, I really enjoy the plum lace sections and pleating of the hem.

Kaley Cuoco in Romona Keveza. The mint green color looks fabulous with Kaley's blonde hair. I like that she wore something unlike anyone else at last night's event. She looked like a princess.
