Ganz, the maker of webkinz charms have adopted a "better safe than sorry" approach. They wanted to be absolutely sure about lead used in painting the charms. Ganz, seems to be a responsible company who put safety before profits. Since their customers are mostly children, this move helps to keep the parents anxiety in check.Ganz has not retired any of the charms, yet.

So, don't worry if you cannot locate or get your hands on your favorite webkinz charm.. All of them will make a comeback, when Ganz is absolutely sure that the paint on the webkinz charms are safe.

I'll keep you posted on their availability in stores.

Should Parents be worried about their children spending time on Webkinz website

Okay..So your little darling loves all the webkinz pets and spends a lot if time on the webkinz website. So you are concerned.

I understand your apprehensions and it is a very valid concern ..what with all that we read in the newspapers!!.

But I personally feel that Gantz as a company and webkinz
as a brand have done a great job of protecting the kids identities online.

Webkinz would'nt have enjoyed the kind of success that they have seen, if they had not taken the privacy and security issues seriously.

With that said, I suggest you teach your kid safe practices when he or she is online and to report to you if anyone approaches them in any other manner.

I would like to start of this blog by explaining what Webkinz toys truly represents and then explain in detail some of the more popular webkinz plush toys.

Ganz gift company in 2005 brought out a line of toy products under the brand Webkinz. These are stuffed toys. These soft toys are sold with a special code on their labels.

With these special codes, owners can now access "Webkinz World". This is a virtual world where you may "adopt" a virtual toy pet. Ganz also brought out "Lil' Kinz", which are tinier than webkinz toys.

To get a general idea, these toys are comparable to Beanie Babies. Some of these webkinz models are hard to find and are expensive. These Webkinz toys are very popular and it can be quite a challenge to find them during this holiday season. Most retail stores are out of stock within days.
