Yesterday, the station broke the one hundred listening hour mark! Thank you to everyone that has tuned in over the last two weeks or so since our launch. We are averaging about ten hours per day over the last few days, which is awesome.

Again, thank you so much for the support. If you are a musician, submit you mp3 files to us at UnfitForRadio@gmail.com. We are constantly updating and adding to our rotation.

Here is a report on our mission to prove an alternative to radio. Commercial radio sucks!

As of yesterday...

We have had over 70 listening hours
We have had over 150 station launches (i.e: people that believe commercial radio sucks!)
We have had the average listener tune in for 30 minutes at a time
We have had over 400 hits to this web page
We are ranked 27 out of 104 "Industrial" stations on Live365.com

In our first two days alone, the station had close to thirty listening hours logged. We appreciate your tuning-in! Please continue to come by, as the rotation is altered and added to daily.

We have an upcoming interview with Braille Korp, so keep checking in. Better yet, subscribe for email updates in the box to the right. Additionally, you can subscribe to be a VIP listener through our station at Live365.com, which gives a good chunk of the proceeds to our station, which helps to supplement the cost it takes to run the station.

As a special treat for our first interview, we have the always-great Velvet Acid Christ. We were able to procure some of Hex93’s (the man behind the reigns) time in the middle of his busy schedule. VAC is busy preparing for an as-of-yet unconfirmed Summer tour, in addition to the production that is going into a brand new L.P. While Velvet Acid Christ is not exactly an unsigned band, they are definitely independent. It cannot be argued that VAC doesn’t carry the underground banner, and does all in its power to help support up-and-coming artists, photographers, and musicians.

At the moment, the station is a small operation, and can only have so many listeners at a time, so if you can't get in, try back later! We have close to four hours of streaming underground noise to make your ears bleed! Please don't forget to rate tracks and the station as you listen.

Also, if you want to help support us, you can sign up for VIP membership at Live 365.com. This gives a small proceed to the station, and gives you unlimited access to the station, no matter how crowded it is. You also get the same access to the thousands of other stations on the site, and we get a good portion of the money you pay, which helps us keep up and running.

Tomorrow is the day! After over a week of preparations, the station is going live tomorrow. I am busy preparing a few initial bumpers, and organizing the initial play list (over three hours long!).

Want to do a bumper for the station?

If you would like to submit a bumper (the short audio clips between songs), please send a 128 kbps .mp3 of you saying something to the effect of, "This is soandso, and you're listening to Unfit For Radio dot com!" Feel free to be creative with sounds, etc.

It must be between 5-15 seconds long. Anything longer will not be used. Again, be creative with sounds, etc, but please don't say much more than what is written above.

Send the bumpers to UnfitForRadio@gmail.com. Please understand that while they will not be altered in any major way, there may be some slight EQing and/or Mastering that may be done to them.

Hello, and welcome to the Unfit For Radio web space. The site is just starting up today, and will soon be accompanied by the Unfit For Radio internet radio station. It will be largely driven by independent and underground electronic artists involved in the Industrial, Noise, Ambient, Cybergrind, Electronic Metal, and other similar genres. It is a place for those who do not currently have much exposure. It is a place for those whose voice is forced into silence due to the enormous amount of fighting required to be heard. This site will seek out artists that posses talent, and give them a place to be heard. The first way this will be done is through interviews. Unfit For Radio will interview these bands and put their music into rotation at the station. The station will be up, all unforseen problems aside, within a week. Stay tuned.
