दोस्तों ,

आज में आपको बताऊंगा भगवन श्री गणेश जी के बारे में कुछ रोचक तथ्य , आज ईद के इस ख़ास मौके पर मुझे मौका मिला राजस्थान के सवाई माधोपुर जिले स्थित रणथम्भोर किले में जाने का ये रणथम्भोर किला अपने आप में भारत की प्राचीन विरासत को समेटे हुए हैं , इस किले में आपको भारतवासियों की एकता का अद्भुत संगम दिखाई देता हैं क्योकि यहाँ आपको श्री गणेश जी का मंदिर भी मिलेगा, मस्जिद भी मिलेगी और प्राचीन दिगम्बर जैन मंदिर भी मिलेगा |

तो आज में आपको बताने जा रहा हूँ रणथम्भोर किले स्थित भगवन श्री गणेश जी के त्रिनेत्र मंदिर के बारे गणेश जी का यह मंदिर कई मामलों में अनूठा है। इस मंदिर को भारतवर्ष का ही नहीं विश्व का पहला गणेश मंदिर माना जाता है। यहां गणेश जी की पहली त्रिनेत्री प्रतिमा विराजमान है। लोक मान्यता है कि भगवान शिव ने अपना तीसरा नेत्र उत्तराधिकारी स्वरूप सौम पुत्र गणपति को सौंप दिया था और इस तरह महादेव की सारी शक्तियाँ गजानन में निहित हो गई। यह प्रतिमा स्वयंभू प्रकट है। देश में ऐसी केवल चार गणेश प्रतिमाएं ही हैं। हम आपको इस मंदिर के और करीब लिए चलते हैं...इसे रणतभंवर मंदिर भी कहा जाता है। यह मंदिर 1579 फीट ऊंचाई पर अरावली और विंध्याचल की पहाड़ियों में स्थित है। सबसे बड़ी खासियत यह यहां आने वाले पत्र। घर में शुभ काम हो तो प्रथम पूज्य को निमंत्रण भेजा जाता है। इतना ही नहीं परेशानी होने पर उसे दूर करने की अरदास भक्त यहां पत्र भेजकर लगाते है। रोजाना हजारों निमंत्रण पत्र और चिट्ठियां यहां डाक से पहुंचती हैं।

महाराजा हम्मीरदेव चौहान व दिल्ली शासक अलाउद्दीन खिलजी का युद्ध 1299-1301 ईस्वी के बीच रणथम्भौर में हुआ। इस दौरान नौ महीने से भी ज्यादा समय तक यह किला दुश्मनों ने घेरे रखा। दुर्ग में राशन सामग्री समाप्त होने लगी तब हमीरदेव चौहान की प्रार्थना फलस्वरूप गणेशजी ने हमीरदेव चौहान को स्वप्न में दर्शन दिए और उस स्थान पर पूजा करने के लिए कहा जहां आज यह गणेशजी की प्रतिमा है। हमीर देव वहां पहुंचे तो उन्हे वहां स्वयंभू प्रकट गणेशजी की प्रतिमा मिली। हमीर देव ने फिर यहां मंदिर का निर्माण कराया।

त्रिनेत्र गणेश जी का उल्लेख रामायण काल और द्वापर युग में भी मिलता है। कहा जाता हैं कि भगवान राम ने लंका कूच से पहले गणेशजी के इसी रूप का अभिषेक किया था। एक और मान्यता के अनुसार द्वापर युग में भगवान कृष्ण का विवाह रूकमणी से हुआ था। इस विवाह में वे गणेशजी को बुलाना भूल गए। गणेशजी के वाहन मूषकों ने कृष्ण के रथ के आगे—पीछे सब जगह खोद दिया। कृष्ण को अपनी गलती का अहसास हुआ और उन्होंने गणेशजी को मनाया। तब गणेशजी हर मंगल कार्य करने से पहले पूजते है। कृष्ण भगवान ने जहां गणेशजी को मनाया वह स्थान रणथंभौर था। यही कारण है कि रणथम्भौर गणेश को भारत का प्रथम गणेश कहते है। कहा जाता है कि महाराजा विक्रमादित्य जिन्होंने विक्रम संवत् की गणना शुरू की प्रत्येक बुधवार उज्जैन से चलकर रणथम्भौर स्थित त्रिनेत्र गणेश जी के दर्शन हेतु नियमित जाते थे, उन्होंने ही उन्हें स्वप्न दर्शन दे सिद्दपुर सीहोर के गणेश जी की स्थापना करवायी थी। इस मंदिर में भगवान गणेश त्रिनेत्र रूप में विराजमान है जिसमें तीसरा नेत्र ज्ञान का प्रतीक माना जाता है। पूरी दुनिया में यह एक ही मंदिर है जहां गणेश जी अपने पूर्ण परिवार, दो पत्नी- रिद्दि और सिद्दि एवं दो पुत्र- शुभ और लाभ, के साथ विराजमान है। देश में चार स्वयंभू गणेश मंदिर माने जाते है, जिनमें रणथम्भौर स्थित त्रिनेत्र गणेश जी प्रथम है। इस मंदिर के अलावा सिद्दपुर गणेश मंदिर गुजरात, अवंतिका गणेश मंदिर उज्जैन एवं सिद्दपुर सिहोर मंदिर मध्यप्रदेश में स्थित है।

यहां भाद्रपद शुक्ल की चतुर्थी को मेला आयोजित होता है जिसमें लाखों भक्त गणेशजी के दरबार में अपनी हाजिरी लगाते है। इस दौरान यहां पूरा इलाका गजानन के जयकारों से गूंज उठता है। भगवान त्रिनेत्र गणेश की परिक्रमा 7 किलोमीटर के लगभग है। जयपुर से त्रिनेत्र गणेश मंदिर की दूरी 142 किलोमीटर के लगभग है।

रणथंभौर गणेशजी का मंदिर प्रसिद्ध रणथंभौर टाइगर रिजर्व एरिया में स्थित है। यहां की प्राकृतिक सुंदरता देखते ही बनती है। बारिश के दौरान यहां कई जगह झरने फूट पड़ते है और पूरा इलाका रमणीय हो जाता है। यह मंदिर किले में स्थित है और यह किला संरक्षित धरोहर है। जब यहां गणेशजी का मेला आयोजित होता है तो आस्था देखते ही बनती है। आसपास के जिलों से कई किलोमीटर की पैदल यात्रा कर भक्त मंदिर के दर्शन के लिए आते है।

हिटलर के बारे में कुछ Unicofacts :

1938 में Time Magazine ने Adolf Hitler को ‘The Man of the year’ चुना था.
हिटलर के पिता का असली नाम Alois Schiklgruber था. मगर हिटलर के जन्म के 13 साल बाद उन्होंने अपना नाम बदल कर adolf Hitler रख लिया.
हिटलर की मूंछो को ‘टुथब्रश मुछें’ कहा जाता है.
हिटलर की जाती नीति के कारण लगभग 1करोड़ 10 लाख लोगो की मौत हुई थी. दुसरे विश्व युद्ध के कारण लगभग 6 करोड़ लोगो ने अपनी जान गवाई थी.
हिटलर का सपना एक पेंटर बनने का था . मगर उसे 1907 और 1908 में दो बार Accdemy of fine arts ने reject कर दिया था.
हिटलर को चॉकलेट बहुत पसंद थी और वह एक दिन में कम से कम एक किलो चॉकलेट जरूर खा जाता थे.
1936 में जब जर्मनी में ओलंपिक हुए थे तब भारत का मुकाबला जर्मनी से हुआ जिसमें हॉकी के जादुगर मेजर ध्यानचंद की वजह से भारत ने जर्मनी को 8-1 से पटखनी दी थी. इस मैच को हिटलर भी देख रहा था और उसने मेजर ध्यानचंद के खेल से प्रभावित होकर उन्हें अपनी सेना में उच्च पद देने ओर जर्मनी की तरफ से खेलने की पेशकश दी. मगर देशभक्त मेजर ध्यानचंद ने यह पेशकश मुसकराते हुए ठुकरा दी.
हिटलर ने इंग्लैंड के राष्ट्रपति और एक महान लेखक सर विंस्टल चर्चिल को विस्फोटक चॉकलेट से मारने की साजिस रची थी हिटलर के बम बनाने वालों ने विस्फोटक पदार्थो को चॉकलेट की एक पतली परत से ढक दिया और उसे एक काले और सुनहरी कागज़ से ढ़क दिया. मगर इंग्लैंड की खुफीयां एजेंसी ने इसे नाकाम कर दिया.
आम तौर पर यह माना जाता है कि हिटलर ने मित्र देशों की सेना के बर्लिन पहुँचने पर अपनी पत्नी ईवा के साथ एक भूमिगत बंकर में आत्महत्या कर ली थी. मगर जेराई विलियम्स और उनके सह-लेखक सिमोन डेस्टन ने अपनी किताब ‘Grey wolf-Escape of Adolf Hitler’ में यह दावा किया है कि दरअसल हिटलर 1945 में बर्लिन स्तिथ भूमिगत बंकर में नही मरा था बल्कि अमरीका से हुए एक गुप्त समझौते के तहत ईवा ब्राउन के साथ दक्षिण अमेरिकी देश अर्जेटीना चला गया था जहा वह 1962 में अपनी मृत्यु तक रहा
यहूदियों पर इतना अत्‍याचार करने के बाद हिटलर का पहला प्‍यार एक यहूदी लड़की ही थी।
हिटलर पेट फूलने की समस्या से ग्रस्त था। इसके लिए वह 28 तरीके की दवाइयां लेता था। इतना ही नहीं, वह 80 तरह की नशीली दवाओं (ड्रग्स) का लती भी था। इनमें, बैल का वीर्य, चूहे मारने वाली दवाई और मॉर्फिन हिटलर को अत्यधिक पसंद थी।
आधुनिक इतिहास में पहली बार हिटलर वह पहला इंसान था जिसने धूम्रपान विरोधी अभियान का आगाज किया। हिटलर ने भले ही कितने लोगों के खून बहाए हों, लेकिन वह शुद्ध रूप से शाकाहारी था। इतना ही नहीं, उसने पशु क्रूरता के खिलाफ एक कानून भी बनाया था।

जितनी जल्दी हम हिटलर को समझना छोड़ दे उतना ही हमारे लिये बेहतर होंगा। हमारे लिये डिज्नी का अर्थ बच्चो की फिल्म से होता है जबकि एक तानाशाह के लिये इसका अर्थ तंत्रज्ञान से था। तानाशाह हिटलर के अनुसार 1937 से ही डिज्नी एनीमेशन की दुनिया में प्रभावशाली कार्य कर रही थी। हिटलर को डिज्नी देखने का बहुत शौक था।

पहले खुद को पहचाने फिर भविष्य के बारे में निर्णय करें

मैनेजमेंट विशेषज्ञ करियर के बारे में यह कहते हुए नहीं थकते कि इसके लिए केयरफुल प्लानिंग की आवश्यकता हैं | if you fails to plan, you are planning to fail only ( यदि आप अपने करियर का प्लान करने में फेल हो गए तो आप स्वत: ही अपनी असफलता की प्लानिंग करने लग गये हो )

75 साल की महिला जो पिछले 60 वर्षों से सिर्फ केले पर जीवित हैं..

मध्यप्रदेश : मध्य प्रदेश के सुंदरील गांव से रहने वाली 75 वर्षीय महिला का दावा है कि उन्होंने पिछले 60 वर्षों में चावल,गेहूं , बाजरा जैसा अन्न या कोई अन्य ठोस भोजन नहीं लिया है।

NTD.TV की एक रिपोर्ट के अनुसार, सरस्वती देवी अपने पहले बेटे के जन्म के ठीक बाद टायफाइड से संक्रमित हो गईं। यद्यपि उन्हें उचित उपचार दिया गया था, लेकिन उन्होंने भोजन में रूचि लेना बंद कर दिया। सरस्वती पिछले छह दशकों से उसी आहार का पालन करती रही है और कहती है कि इस आदत ने उनको फिट कर दिया है। वे अभी भी खेतों में काम करती है, जिससे परिवार को खेती-बाड़ी में मदद मिलती है।

कभी-कभी वे कहती हैं कि वे सप्ताहभर में कभी-कभी सिर्फ एक केला जरुर खा लेती हैं | सरस्वती बाई अकेले पानी और चाय से ही अपनी भूख मिटा लेती हैं , इसके अलावा कोई अन्य ठोस भोजन नहीं करती |

मुक्केबाजी के इतिहास में महानतम मुक्केबाजो में Muhammad Ali अली ने बचपन में ही अपनी निर्भीकता का परिचय देना शुरू कर दिया था | उनका लालन पालन देश के जिस दक्षिणी हिस्से में हुआ था वहा उन्हें अश्वेत होने के नाते नस्लीय भेदभाव का शिकार होना पड़ा था और उनके मन में मुक्केबाज बनने का संकल्प दृढ़ होता गया था |

Childhood of Muhammad Ali :

Muhammad Ali was born Cassius Marcellus Clay Jr. at 6:35 p.m. on January 17, 1942 in Louisville, Kentucky to Cassius Clay Sr. and Odessa Grady Clay.

Cassius Clay Sr. was a muralist, but painted signs for a living. Odessa Clay worked as a house cleaner and a cook. Two years after Muhammad Ali was born, the couple had another son, Rudolph ("Rudy").

Turning Point of His Life :

बारह साल की उम्र में Muhammad Ali अली के साथ एक घटना घटी जिसकी वजह से उनका मुक्केबाज बनना निश्चित हो गया | उनकी साइकिल चोरी हो गयी और उन्होंने पुलिस अधिकारी जो मार्टिन को बताया कि वो वो छोर को घूंसा मारना चाहते है | मार्टिन ने उनसे कहा “किसी को लड़ने से पहले तुम्हे अच्छी तरह लड़ना सीखना होगा ” | पुलिस अधिकारी होने के साथ साथ मार्टिन स्थानीय जिम में लडको को मुक्केबाजी का प्रशिक्ष्ण देते थे , जहा अली भी मुक्केबाजी सीखने लगे |

सन 1954 में पहली स्पर्धा Muhammad Ali अली जीत गये | लाइट हैवीवेट श्रेणी की स्पर्धा गोल्डन ग्लोबस टूर्नामेंट में वो सन 1956 में विजयी हुए | तीन साल बाद जहा वह नेशनल गोल्डन ग्लोब्स ऑफ़ चैंपियन जीत गये , वही एमेचोयेर एथेलेटिक एसोसिएशन का नेशनल टाइटल भी जीत गये | सन 1960 में अली को अमेरिकी ओलम्पिक मुक्केबाजी टीम में शामिल किया गया | ओलम्पिक में भाग लेने के लिए अली रोम पहुच गये | छह फीट तीन इन इंच लम्बे अली जब मुकाबले के लिए रिंग में उतरते थे तो प्रतिद्वंदी मुक्केबाज के दिल में भय की लहर दौड़ जाती थी |

ओलम्पिक स्पर्धाओ में पोलैंड के मुक्केबाज बिग्नी पिटजोक्ब्स्की को परास्त कर उन्होंने स्वर्ण पदक हासिल किया और इसके साथ ही वे अमेरिका के लोकप्रिय नायक बन गये | जल्द ही पेशेवर मुक्केबाज के तौर पर स्पर्धाओ में भाग लेने लगे | सन 1964 में उन्होंने सोनी लिस्टन को पराजित कर World Heavy Weight Champion का ख़िताब हासिल किया |

अली निजी जिन्दगी में आध्यात्मिक शान्ति की तलाश कर रहे थे | 1964 में उन्होंने इस्लाम धर्म स्वीकार कर लिया और अपना नाम मुहम्मद अली रख लिया | दो साल बाद जब सरकार ने उन्हें युद्ध में भेजने का फैसला किया तो अली ने स्वयं को मौलवी बताते हुए और अपनी धार्मिक मान्यताओ का हवाला देते हुए वियतनाम युद्ध में शामिल होने से इंकार कर दिया | सन 1967 में अली ने अपनी धार्मिक मान्यताओ की सुरक्षा के लिए अपने करियर को न्योछावर करने का फैसला लिया | न्याय मंत्रालय ने उन पर मुकदमा किया और सैन्य सेवा को स्वीकार नही करने की वजह से उन्हें दोषी करार दिया गया |

Ostriches are large, flightless birds that have long legs and a long neck that protrudes from a round body.

1. Males have bold black-and-white coloring that they use to attract females. Females, on the other hand, are light brown.

5. What do ostriches eat?

Ostriches are omnivores, which means they eat both vegetation and meat. Although they prefer plants — especially roots, seeds and leaves — they also eat locusts, lizards, snakes and rodents, according to the San Diego Zoo. They also eat sand and pebbles, to help grind up their food inside their gizzard, which is a small pouch where food is crushed and ripped up before it reaches the stomach.

Ostriches don't need to drink water; they get all the water they need from the plants they eat. However, they do drink if they come across a watering hole.

To attract a female, a male ostrich will do a little dance in which he crouches down and alternates bringing his black-and-white wings forward, one after the other.

6. Mating habits

Male ostriches are called cocks or roosters, and females are called hens. A group of ostriches is called a flock. Flocks can consist of up to 100 birds, though most have 10 members, according to the San Diego Zoo. The group has a dominant male and a dominant female and several other females. Lone males come and go during mating season.

To get a female's attention, males bow and flap their wings outward to display their plumage. When they are ready to mate, the male's beak and shins will turn bright red. Sometimes, his neck will change to a red color to match. Females also change color when they are ready to mate. Their feathers will turn a silvery color, according to the American Ostrich Association.

8. Ostrich eggs & baby ostriches

Ostrich eggs are 6 inches (15 cm) in diameter and can weigh up to 3 lbs. (1.3 kg). Eggs are laid in a communal nest called a dump nest, which can hold about 60 eggs at one time. Males, as well as females, sit on the eggs until they hatch, which can take 42 to 46 days.

Ostrich offspring are larger than any other bird baby. At birth, chicks can be as big as chickens. The males and females share the responsibility of taking care of the young, according to the San Diego Zoo. During an attack, the male tries to lure the predator away from the chicks while they run for cover with the female.

By six months, a chick is almost at its full-grown height; at 3 or 4 years, it will reach maturity. An ostrich can live 50 to 75 years.

The largest and heaviest living bird, the ostrich is flightless and instead is built for running. With its powerful legs, the ostrich can sprint in short bursts up to 43 mph (70 kph), and can maintain a steady speed of 31 mph (50 kph).

It may seem amazing that an ostrich's thin legs can keep their large bodies upright. Their legs are perfectly placed so that the body's center of gravity balances on top of its legs.

Their thin legs give them great speed and maneuverability, too. They can run up to 40 mph (64.3 km/h) for sustained periods of time, according to the American Ostrich Association.

Contrary to popular belief, ostriches don't bury their heads in the sand, but they do lie down with their heads against the ground when they feel threatened. It only looks like the ostrich has buried its head because its head and neck blend in with the color of the sand.

Ostriches fight with their feet. They kick forward because that's the direction in which their legs bend, according to the American Ostrich Association. A solid kick can kill a lion.

Ostrich feathers look shaggy because they hang loosely and don't hook together like feathers on other types of birds.

While the universe is a big place to study, we should n’t forget our own backyard. With eight planets and a wealth of smaller worlds to look at, there’s more than enough to learn for a few lifetimes .

So what are some of the most surprising things about the planets? We’ve highlighted a few things below.

1. Mercury is hot, but not too hot for ice

The closest planet to the Sun does indeed have ice on its surface. That sounds surprising at first glance, but the ice is found in permanently shadowed craters — those that never receive any sunlight. It is thought that perhaps comets delivered this ice to Mercury in the first place. In fact, NASA’s MESSENGER spacecraft not only found ice at the north pole, but it also found organics, which are the building blocks for life. Mercury is way too hot and airless for life as we know it, but it shows how these elements are distributed across the Solar System.

2. Venus doesn’t have any moons, and we aren’t sure why ?

Both Mercury and Venus have no moons, which can be considered a surprise given there are dozens of other ones around the Solar System. Saturn has over 60, for example. And some moons are little more than captured asteroids, which may have been what happened with Mars’ two moons, for example. So what makes these planets different? No one is really sure why Venus doesn’t, but there is at least one stream of research that suggests it could have had one in the past.

3. Mars had a thicker atmosphere in the past.

What a bunch of contrasts in the inner Solar System: practically atmosphere-less Mercury, a runaway hothouse greenhouse effect happening in Venus’ thick atmosphere, temperate conditions on much of Earth and then a thin atmosphere on Mars. But look at the planet and you can see gullies carved in the past from probable water. Water requires more atmosphere, so Mars had more in the past. Where did it go? Some scientists believe it’s because the Sun’s energy pushed the lighter molecules out of Mars’ atmosphere over millions of years, decreasing the thickness over time.

4. Jupiter is a great comet catcher.

The most massive planet in the Solar System probably had a huge influence on its history. At 318 times the mass of Earth, you can imagine that any passing asteroid or comet going near Jupiter has a big chance of being caught or diverted. Maybe Jupiter was partly to blame for the great bombardment of small bodies that peppered our young Solar System early in its history, causing scars you can still see on the Moon today. And in 1994, astronomers worldwide were treated to a rare sight: a comet, Shoemaker-Levy 9, breaking up under Jupiter’s gravity and slamming into the atmosphere.

5. No one knows how old Saturn’s rings are

There’s a field of ice and rock debris circling Saturn that from afar, appear as rings. Early telescope observations of the planet in the 1600s caused some confusion: does that planet have ears, or moons, or what? With better resolution, however, it soon became clear that there was a chain of small bodies encircling the gas giant. It’s possible that a single moon tore apart under Saturn’s strong gravity and produced the rings. Or, maybe they’ve been around (pun intended) for the last few billion years, unable to coalesce into a larger body but resistant enough to gravity not to break up.

6. Uranus is more stormy than we thought.

When Voyager 2 flew by the planet in the 1980s, scientists saw a mostly featureless blue ball and some assumed there wasn’t much activity going on on Uranus. We’ve had a better look at the data since then that does show some interesting movement in the southern hemisphere. Additionally, the planet drew closer to the Sun in 2007, and in more recent years telescope probing has shown some storms going on. What is causing all this activity is difficult to say unless we were to send another probe that way. And unfortunately, there are no missions yet that are slated for sure to zoom out to that part of the Solar System.

7. Neptune has supersonic winds.

While on Earth we are concerned about hurricanes, the strength of these storms is nowhere near what you would find on Neptune. At its highest altitudes, according to NASA, winds blow at more than 1,100 miles per hour(1,770 kilometers per hour). To put that in context, that’s faster than the speed of sound on Earth, at sea level. Why Neptune is so blustery is a mystery, especially considering the Sun’s heat is so little at its distance.

8. You can see Earth’s magnetic field at work during light shows.

We have a magnetic field surrounding our planet that protects us from the blasts of radiation and particles the Sun sends our way. Good thing, too, because such flare-ups could prove deadly to unprotected people; that’s why NASA keeps an eye on solar activity for astronauts on the International Space Station, for example. At any rate, when you see auroras shining in the sky, that’s what happens when the particles from the Sun flow along the magnetic field lines and interact with Earth’s upper atmosphere.

Thousands of years ago, ancient civilizations turned to the heavens, marveling at their wonders. These ancient people worshiped various gods and often linked their gods with planets in the sky, which they considered to be “wandering stars.”

Mercury gets its name from the winged messenger of the gods. He was also the god of thievery, commerce, and travel. Most likely, the planet got its name from the rate at which it spins.

Venus was the Roman goddess of love and beauty, so it is a fitting name for this brightly shining planet. The only objects in our Solar System brighter than Venus are the Sun and the Moon. Ancient civilizations thought that Venus was two different objects – the Morning Star and the Evening Star. Other civilizations have also associated the planet with love. The Babylonians called the planet Ishtar after their goddess of womanhood and love.

Earth is the only planet not named after a Roman god or goddess, but it is associated with the goddess Terra Mater (Gaea to the Greeks). In mythology, she was the first goddess on Earth and the mother of Uranus. The name Earth comes from Old English and Germanic. It is derived from “eor(th)e” and “ertha,” which mean “ground.” Other civilizations all over the world also developed terms for our planet.

Mars is named after the Roman god of war. The planet got its name from the fact that it is the color of blood. Other civilizations also named the planets for its red color.

Jupiter was the Roman king of the gods. Considering that Jupiter is the largest planet in our Solar System, it makes sense that the planet was named after the most important god.

Saturn was named after the Roman god of agriculture and harvest. While the planet may have gotten its name from its golden color, like a field of wheat, it also had to do with its position in the sky. According to mythology, the god Saturn stole the position of king of the gods from his father Uranus. The throne was then stolen by Jupiter.

Uranus was not discovered until the 1800’s, but the astronomers in that time period continued the tradition of naming planets after Roman gods. In mythology, Uranus was the father of Saturn and was at one time the king of the gods.

While Neptune almost ended up being named after one of the astronomers credited with discovering it – Verrier – that was greatly disputed, so it was named after the god of the sea. The name was probably inspired by its blue color.

Pluto is no longer a planet, but it used to be. The dark, cold, former planet was named after the god of the underworld. The first two letters of Pluto are also the initials of the man who predicted its existence, Percival Lowell.

Our Eyes are Always the Same Size from Birth ..?

According to scientists our eyes remain the same in size throughout our life but our ears and nose keep gaining bits of mass as we grow older.

This may sound a little disturbing because most of us want the exact opposite. We’re coveted to have bigger eyes but they never change size, and fairly smaller noses and ears but they disappoint us by growing throughout our lives.

Normally our nose grows slowly until about age 15 to 17 in women and about age 17 to 19 in men, says Rohrich, a specialist in the field.

After these respective ages our noses keep on growing but at a very slow rate. And the growth of our noses is always downward because of the pull of gravity and the gradual breakdown of proteins, collagen and elastin in your skin, especially in the nasal tip.

It is a very important part of our body which lets us smell more than 10,000 scents. As for the ears, they get bigger by 0.22mm per year on average and the reason is almost the same as for the nose.

The cartilage in the ears also keeps growing and gravity helps the enlargement too. As far as the eyes are concerned, they grow on average only by 7 mm till you reach puberty.

That is 40% growth in the size from the original. The eyes stop growing after puberty and if the eyes keep on growing, there’s always a risk of myopia or short-sightedness. So if you think about it, it’s to our advantage that our eyes don’t grow after puberty.

I am sure that you probably have never realized that you are always taller by 1-2 inches in every morning than every night. In fact no one would ever know until they read it somewhere like you read it here today. Now you may ask something like though I didn’t notice my own height growth which is kind of okay but I stay with other people; I should have noticed their height growth in morning or they should noticed in me but it never happened, strange isn’t it? Well there is a very simple reason for this. See the morning height growth affects everyone and therefore you won’t notice others shorter or taller because your height has changed too and vice versa.

I don’t believe in this morning height growth, I don’t think I grow taller every morning. prove it to me.

Well you are not alone here. There are many people out there who too don’t believe in the morning height growth but it’s scientifically proven. So we will give you a small experiment to do. Do it and you’ll notice the height growth by yourself in the Morning! Here’s the experiment:

You can sleep flat on your back without a pillow for between eight to ten hours.
Doing the step 1 will decompress your spine.
Measure your height just before you go to sleep, and measure your height just after you get up, and compare the both, you’ll find that there can be a difference as much as an 1-2 inches in your height between these two times.

Now no doubt, you too know and believe that we really grow taller in the morning.

How’s It Made Our Spine...?

The spine consists of 33 vertebrae, overlapping each other, that creates a single structure thanks to which we are able to walk and move in an upright posture. It’s therefore the mainstay of our body.

The 33 vertebrae, of which it’s composed our spine, are divided in 5 different regions:

Cervical.
Dorsal.
Lumbar.
Sacral.
Coccygeal.

Now the question is how do we grow taller in the morning, what is the concept behind it? Or say how does it work? Or how does it occur? Blah blah blah.

This all possible because of our spine. In layman terms, it is the pressure upon the spinal disks that stops a person from growing to their complete height potential. Did you know that if you can remove the pressure from the disks of the spine, it can immediately give you a height increase of 1-2 inches. The same concept applies here which results in shorter height throughout day to night and gaining taller height by morning. Below is the image of the spine on our body.

But How Can Change the Spine Length...?

As I mentioned earlier, spine is one of the main reason behind our height growth. Let us see how? Spine or backbone is made of 33 vertebrae, overlapping each other and separated by inter-vertebral discs, that creates a single structure thanks to which we are able to walk and move in an upright posture. These discs are then a kind of bearing between pairs of vertebrae, and are made of cartilage tissue that gives them high elastic properties, it allows the movement, flex-ion, extension and rotation of the spine.

When during the night we’re lying on our bed, our spine is not affected by the pressure of the body weight, and consequently the inter-vertebral discs relax and stretch.

As a consequence, if in the morning upon rising we measure ourself, we will notice an increase of about 1/2 cm compared to our average height.

On the contrary, at night, because of the body weight supported during the day, the vertebrae are compressed, decreasing in thickness. This caused a decrease of about 1/2 cm compared to our average height.

In Night while sleeping in lying position – When you sleep at night in a lying position on bed (check out the proper sleeping posture below or here), the spine is not affected by the pressure of the body weight, and consequently the pressure on inter-vertebral discs is relaxed, stretch or expand again resulting in 1-2 inches height growth compared to our average height in the morning upon rising. While the difference is small, it is a fact and this is the reason why our height is taller in every morning than every night.

There is a proper sleeping posture you need to follow in order to see this morning height increase. Here I will mention in brief (you can read the details of sleeping posture here). In order to see the maximum height increase effect in the morning, we need to develop correct sleeping postures and habits. So in short, below are the right way to sleep and wrong way to sleep represented diagrammatically.

The name "Jeep" Means "General Purpose Vehicle"

Where did the name "Jeep" come from, anyway?

One story has the name originating with test driver Irving "Red" Haussman, who demonstrated Willys-Overland's new trucks early in 1941 by driving one up the steps of the United States Capitol. When asked by syndicated columnist Katherine Hillyer (or perhaps a bystander) what it was called, Mr. Haussman then answered, "It's a Jeep," because he had heard soldiers at Fort Holabird calling it by that name. But why had the soldiers called it that in the first place?

Originally, the soldiers apparently did not call it a jeep at all. Jack Keenan, a World War II Third Armored Division veteran, wrote that early Willys-Overlands were not called Jeeps. "We called 'em 'Peeps'." His contemporary sketches of the vehicles in Louisiana and desert maneuvers were clearly labeled "Peeps," — you can see some of these drawings on this page. Bill Cawthon agreed about this early name, writing that early in the war the Willys were classified as reconnaissance trucks, and only later were reclassified as a general purpose truck.

Steven J. Zaloga's book Jeeps 1941-45 claims that the term "jeep" had been around for years before the appearance of the MA / G-503, "used as casual slang in the Army for anything that was insignificant, awkward, or silly...[and] by army mechanics during World War I to refer to any new vehicle."

In 1936, probably based on the Great War's lingo, popular comic stripPopeye unveiled "Eugene the Jeep," who had the ability to go just about anywhere. Zaloga continued, "Jeep crept back into army slang as a term for a new recruit."

By 1944, the jeep nickname was in common use, but other vehicles had the same nickname, including the B-17 bomber. This was rather unfair to Minneapolis Moline, which produced a tractor actually called the Jeep (starting in 1943); and to Halliburton, which used the name for an "electric logging device" (chainsaw?). The name, according to Zaloga, jumped from these legitimate uses to the half-ton command reconnaissance truck to the quarter-ton Willys.

One theory is that the name "jeep" was derived from Ford's "G.P." classification attached to the vehicle. Certainly, it would be an easy step from "peep" to "jeep" given the GP classification (later changed to GPW to acknowledge Willys' role). GP was often mistakenly thought to mean General Purpose; but actually, G stood for Government and P for all 80-inch-wheelbase recon cars.

During World War II, soldiers in some units called the Willys Jeeps "bantams" after the original designer, though "peep" remained popular, and the half-ton was also often called jeep. (Zaloga wrote that the Dodge command car was often called the "beep" and the amphibious version of the GP, the GPA, was called the "seep.")

As the war went on, Willys advertised their role in the war, and starting in 1942 (most likely, thanks to that February 1941 Washington Daily News article), they called their own vehicle the Jeep. Soldiers were more likely to call it "peep," "bantam," or "son of jeep" (where jeep itself was the half-ton truck), but civilians knew it as a jeep; and by the Korean war, that name would be cemented in place.

The name was later converted into an acronym by soldiers in Korea, who, referring to its basic design, said it meant "Just Enough Essential Parts" ... but that was humor rather than the creation of the word.

Regardless of names, the Jeep MB's record of performance is unquestioned. The Jeep's versatility seemed endless and the truck was virtually indestructible, serving in every theater of WWII.

It was a reconnaissance vehicle, with a machine gun mount. Fitted with stretchers, it became a frontline ambulance. A Jeep with a radio became a mobile command post. Jeeps hauled planes to dispersal bunkers. Soldiers raced them uphill and climbed forty per cent grades. As illustrated in a famous cartoon by Bill Mauldin, the Jeep even provided hot radiator water for shaving. In the Philippines, a Jeep with flanged wheels pulled a fifty-two-ton railroad supply train for nineteen miles at twenty miles an hour. It was widely modified for long-range desert patrol, snow ploughing, telephone cable laying, saw milling, and fire fighting (with pumps); stateside farmers would use it as a tractor. Jeeps could be loaded into transport aircraft for rapid deployment and were small enough to fit into the large gliders used in the D-day invasion of Europe. Famed correspondent Ernie Pyle called the Jeep, along with the Coleman G.I. Pocket Stove, "the two most important pieces of noncombat equipment ever developed."

Willys filed a trademark for the Jeep name in 1943, but when it was opposed, causing years of delays, they simply copyrighted it (in 1946). The trademark finally came through in 1950; Bantam had created the car, but had never used the name. Willys’ trademark is still active, now belonging to FCA.

The first post-war Jeep was the prototype Jeep CJ-1A (CJ stands for Civilian Jeep); the production model, Jeep CJ-2A, was unveiled in August 1945, at $1,090. Closely based on the Jeep MB, it was called "CJ" until 1986, when the suspension was modified to prevent flipping by untrained or unwary drivers, and renamed Wrangler. It had gained a considerable amount of size and weight over the years, but had a similar look and was designed with similar versatility in mind.

The Jeep trademark moved around quite a bit, following issuance in 1950. In 1956, it was posted as collateral for a loan by the Henry J. Kaiser company and the Bank of America. In 1963, it was moved to Kaiser Jeep Corporation as part of a merger. A single year later, it was conveyanced to the Bank of America again for a loan. In 1970, Kaiser Jeep Corp. became Jeep Corp. In 1980, it was conveyanced to the First National Bank of Boston, securing a loan for AMC. In 1988, Jeep Corp. became Jeep Eagle Corp., part of AMC, — that’s after Chrysler bought AMC. Then it was assigned to Chrysler in 1990, Daimler Chrysler in 1998, Chrysler LLC in 2007, Wilmington Trust Company a few weeks later as collateral for loans. The bankruptcy proceedings in 2009 resulted in fast swaps to the U.S. Treasury, back to Chrysler LLC, to New Carco Acquisition LLC, finally to Chrysler Group LLC. In 2011, the Treasury released their conveyance, which quickly went to Citibank — three years later, to J.P. Morgan as well. Chrysler Group LLC became FCA US LLC in 2014, and in 2016, Citibank gave up their conveyance.

बिना कोचिंग, बिना गाइडेंस बनी IAS : -

मई महीने की 3 तारीख को रोज की तरह वंदना दोपहर में अपने दो मंजिला घर में ही ग्राउंड फ्लोर पर बने अपने पिताजी के ऑफिस में गई और आदतन सबसे पहले यूपीएससी की वेबसाइट खोली. वंदना को दूर-दूर तक अंदाजा नहीं था कि आज आईएएस का रिजल्ट आने वाला है. लेकिन इस सरप्राइज से ज्यादा बड़ा सरप्राइज अभी उसका इंतजार कर रहा था. टॉपर्स की लिस्ट देखते हुए अचानक आठवें नंबर पर उसकी नजर रुक गई. आठवीं रैंक. नाम- वंदना. रोल नंबर-029178. बार-बार नाम और रोल नंबर मिलाती और खुद को यह यकीन दिलाने की कोशिश करती कि यह मैं ही हूं. हां, वह वंदना ही थी. भारतीय सिविल सेवा परीक्षा 2012 में आठवां स्थान और हिंदी माध्यम से पहला स्थान पाने वाली 24 साल की एक लड़की वंदना की आंखों में इंटरव्यू का दिन घूम गया. हल्के पर्पल कलर की साड़ी में औसत कद की एक बहुत दुबली-पतली सी लड़की यूपीएससी की बिल्डिंग में इंटरव्यू के लिए पहुंची. शुरू में थोड़ा डर लगा था, लेकिन फिर आधे घंटे तक चले इंटरव्यू में हर सवाल का आत्मविश्वास और हिम्मत से सामना किया. बाहर निकलते हुए वंदना खुश थी. लेकिन उस दिन भी घर लौटकर उन्होंने आराम नहीं किया. किताबें उठाईं और अगली आइएएस परीक्षा की तैयारी में जुट गईं.

यह रिजल्ट वंदना के लिए तो आश्चर्य ही था. यह पहली कोशिश थी. कोई कोचिंग नहीं, कोई गाइडेंस नहीं. कोई पढ़ाने, समझने, बताने वाला नहीं. आइएएस की तैयारी कर रहा कोई दोस्त नहीं. यहां तक कि वंदना कभी एक किताब खरीदने भी अपने घर से बाहर नहीं गईं. किसी तपस्वी साधु की तरह एक साल तक अपने कमरे में बंद होकर सिर्फ और सिर्फ पढ़ती रहीं. उन्हें तो अपने घर का रास्ता और मुहल्ले की गलियां भी ठीक से नहीं मालूम. कोई घर का रास्ता पूछे तो वे नहीं बता पातीं. अर्जुन की तरह वंदना को सिर्फ चिड़‍िया की आंख मालूम है. वे कहती हैं, ‘‘बस, यही थी मेरी मंजिल.’’
वंदना का जन्म 4 अप्रैल, 1989 को हरियाणा के नसरुल्लागढ़ गांव के एक बेहद पारंपरिक परिवार में हुआ. उनके घर में लड़कियों को पढ़ाने का चलन नहीं था. उनकी पहली पीढ़ी की कोई लड़की स्कूल नहीं गई थी. वंदना की शुरुआती पढ़ाई भी गांव के सरकारी स्कूल में हुई. वंदना के पिता महिपाल सिंह कहते हैं, ‘‘गांव में स्कूल अच्छा नहीं था. इसलिए अपने बड़े लड़के को मैंने पढऩे के लिए बाहर भेजा. बस, उस दिन के बाद से वंदना की भी एक ही रट थी. मुझे कब भेजोगे पढऩे.’’
महिपाल सिंह बताते हैं कि शुरू में तो मुझे भी यही लगता था कि लड़की है, इसे ज्यादा पढ़ाने की क्या जरूरत. लेकिन मेधावी बिटिया की लगन और पढ़ाई के जज्बे ने उन्हें मजबूर कर दिया. वंदना ने एक दिन अपने पिता से गुस्से में कहा, ‘‘मैं लड़की हूं, इसीलिए मुझे पढऩे नहीं भेज रहे.’’ महिपाल सिंह कहते हैं, ‘‘बस, यही बात मेरे कलेजे में चुभ गई. मैंने सोच लिया कि मैं बिटिया को पढ़ने बाहर भेजूंगा.’’

छठी क्लास के बाद वंदना मुरादाबाद के पास लड़कियों के एक गुरुकुल में पढऩे चली गई. वहां के नियम बड़े कठोर थे. कड़े अनुशासन में रहना पड़ता. खुद ही अपने कपड़े धोना, कमरे की सफाई करना और यहां तक कि महीने में दो बार खाना बनाने में भी मदद करनी पड़ती थी. हरियाणा के एक पिछड़े गांव से बेटी को बाहर पढऩे भेजने का फैसला महिपाल सिंह के लिए भी आसान नहीं था. वंदना के दादा, ताया, चाचा और परिवार के तमाम पुरुष इस फैसले के खिलाफ थे. वे कहते हैं, ‘‘मैंने सबका गुस्सा झेला, सबकी नजरों में बुरा बना, लेकिन अपना फैसला नहीं बदला.’’
दसवीं के बाद ही वंदना की मंजिल तय हो चुकी थी. उस उम्र से ही वे कॉम्प्टीटिव मैग्जीन में टॉपर्स के इंटरव्यू पढ़तीं और उसकी कटिंग अपने पास रखतीं. किताबों की लिस्ट बनातीं. कभी भाई से कहकर तो कभी ऑनलाइन किताबें मंगवाती. बारहवीं तक गुरुकुल में पढ़ने के बाद वंदना ने घर पर रहकर ही लॉ की पढ़ाई की. कभी कॉलेज नहीं गई. परीक्षा देने के लिए भी पिताजी साथ लेकर जाते थे.

गुरुकुल में सीखा हुआ अनुशासन एक साल तैयारी के दौरान काम आया. रोज तकरीबन 12-14 घंटे पढ़ाई करती. नींद आने लगती तो चलते-चलते पढ़ती थी. वंदना की मां मिथिलेश कहती हैं, ‘‘पूरी गर्मियां वंदना ने अपने कमरे में कूलर नहीं लगाने दिया. कहती थी, ठंडक और आराम में नींद आती है.’’ वंदना गर्मी और पसीने में ही पढ़ती रहती ताकि नींद न आए. एक साल तक घर के लोगों को भी उसके होने का आभास नहीं था. मानो वह घर में मौजूद ही न हो. किसी को उसे डिस्टर्ब करने की इजाजत नहीं थी. बड़े भाई की तीन साल की बेटी को भी नहीं. वंदना के साथ-साथ घर के सभी लोग सिविल सेवा परीक्षा की तैयारी कर रहे थे. उनकी वही दुनिया थी.

आईएएस नहीं तो क्या? ‘‘कुछ नहीं. किसी दूसरे विकल्प के बारे में कभी सोचा ही नहीं.’’ वंदना की वही दुनिया थी. . वही स्वप्न और वही मंजिल. उन्होंने बाहर की दुनिया कभी देखी ही नहीं. कभी हरियाणा के बाहर कदम नहीं रखा. कभी सिनेमा हॉल में कोई फिल्म नहीं देखी. कभी किसी पार्क और रेस्तरां में खाना नहीं खाया. कभी दोस्तों के साथ पार्टी नहीं की. कभी कोई बॉयफ्रेंड नहीं रहा. कभी मनपसंद जींस-सैंडल की शॉपिंग नहीं की. अब जब मंजिल मिल गई है तो वंदना अपनी सारी इच्छाएं पूरी करना चाहती है. घुड़सवारी करना चाहती है और निशानेबाजी सीखना चाहती है. खूब घूमने की इच्छा है.
आज गांव के वही सारे लोग, जो कभी लड़की को पढ़ता देख मुंह बिचकाया करते थे, वंदना की सफलता पर गर्व से भरे हैं. कह रहे हैं, ‘‘लड़कियों को जरूर पढ़ाना चाहिए. बिटिया पढ़ेगी तो नाम रौशन करेगी.’’ यह कहते हुए महिपाल सिंह की आंखें भर आती हैं. वे कहते हैं, ‘‘लड़की जात की बहुत बेकद्री हुई है. इन्हें हमेशा दबाकर रखा. पढऩे नहीं दिया. अब इन लोगों को मौका मिलना चाहिए.’’ मौका मिलने पर लड़की क्या कर सकती है, वंदना ने करके दिखा ही दिया है |

वंदना जी की यह सफलता दर्शाती है कि जिंदगी कितनी ही रुकावटें क्यों ना हो यदि दृढ संकल्प और कड़ी मेहनत से कोई अपने लक्ष्य -प्राप्ति में जुट जाए तो उसे सफलता ज़रूर मिलती है । आज उन्हें IAS officer बने 4 साल हो चुके हैं पर उनके संघर्ष की कहानी हमेशा हमें प्रेरित करती रहेगी।

अंत में वंदना जी के लिए यही कहना चाहूँगा ......

At the Institute for Regenerative Medicine in Pittsburgh, fast-aging elderly mice with a usual lifespan of approximately 21 days were injected with stem cells from younger mice. They were given the injection approximately four days before they were expected to die, and the results were outstanding. Mice who were injected not only lived, but they live 3 times their normal lifespan, surviving for an additional 71 days. In human terms, that would be the equivalent of an 80-year old living to be 200 years old.

The research was published in Nature Communications, by Mitra Lavasani in 2012. The mice were genetically engineered to be fast-aging.

“Specifically, the investigators studied the effects of injecting muscle-derived stem/progenitor cells (MDSPCs) into a murine progeria model (fast-aging mice). Since age-related degenerative changes are universal in the musculoskeletal system, the impact on the musculoskeletal system by murine muscle-derived stem/progenitor cells (MDSPCs) became the primary focus of the experiments. MDSPCs are multipotent cells isolated from postnatal skeletal muscle. They have the capacity for long-term proliferation, are resistant to oxidative and inflammatory stress, show multilineage differentiation and self-renew, induce neovascularization, and stimulate regeneration of bone, skeletal, and cardiac muscles. These characteristics raise the possibility that the loss of MDSPCs or related perivascular progenitor cells could contribute to sarcopenia, osteoporosis and other age-associated degenerative diseases.”

This is a significant finding, it could not only extend the life of humans but also be able to delay symptoms that are correlated with aging.

Humanity is continually progressing in its understanding of science and technology. Everyday, new breakthroughs are made that have the potential to change the way we live. Unfortunately, we live in a system of competition, misinformation and corporate interests. Imagine if science and technological discoveries were free, and made available to the entire human population for exploration and experimentation. Imagine if we shared with one another, instead of always trying to generate a profit.

Multiple scientists have attempted to find the “Fountain of Youth.” Prolonging life is not a new idea, it’s a common theme found throughout ancient history, philosophy, mysticism and more. One example is the Elixir of Immortality, or the Philosopher’s Stone(s) that were sought out Before the Common Era (BCE). We recently wrote an article about a team of scientists in Russia who discovered a way to extend human life and cure age-related disease, including cancer, you can read more about that here.

It seems that we have a wide variety of possibilities when it comes to science and technology. As the human race continues to move forward, discoveries that bring ethics into the picture will continue to increase. Some might argue that this is playing ‘God,’ but I believe a part of human nature is the ability to make new discoveries, and advance ourselves as a human race. For our race to one day reach a point where we can extend our lives, I see nothing wrong with that, and feel it would be completely natural.

What’s more important right now is to provide everybody on the planet with the basic necessities for life. Everybody should have access to proper health care (organic fruits and vegetables), clean water, shelter and energy. We have the solutions, but those solutions are accompanied by excuses, and often lead to “the problem of money.” Money never has to come in the way of necessity, so ask yourself, why does it?

New discoveries are useless unless we evolve past a competitive society, into a cooperative one, where we see ourselves as one human race. Science and technology is useless if the consciousness and intent behind the beneficial discoveries is for the betterment of the whole.

भारत में पॉपुलर पेनकिलर कॉम्बिफ्लेम को सेफ्टी स्टैंडर्ड्स टेस्ट में फेल पाई गई है। हाल में ही सेंट्रल ड्रग स्टैंडर्ड कंट्रोल ऑर्गनाइजेशन (सीडीएससीओ) की जांच में इस दवा के 4 बैच सेफ्टी स्टैंडर्ड्स पर फेल हो गए। इसके बाद दवा बनाने वाली कंपनी सनोफी (Sanofi) की लोकल ब्रांच ने मार्केट से दवाइयों की बड़ी खेप हटा ली है।

डिसइंटिग्रेशन टेस्ट (the process of coming to pieces) में फेल : -

ऑर्गनाइजेशन की डिसइंटिग्रेशन टेस्ट में ये दवाइयां फेल हुई हैं। - इस टेस्ट में देखा जाता है कि दवाइयां बॉडी के अंदर कितनी देरी में ब्रेकडाउन होती हैं। इसी समय में देरी देखी गई है। - सीडीएससीओ के मुताबिक, दवाइयों की बड़ी खेप सब स्टैंडर्ड क्वालिटी की पाई गई है।

इनके इस्तेमाल से मरीज को कई तरह के साइड इफेक्ट हो सकते हैं। - खासतौर से इनसे पेट में ब्लीडिंग हो सकती है। इसके अलावा लूज मोशन्स और गैस्ट्रो-इन्टेस्टाइनल की प्रॉब्लम हो सकती हैं। कंपनी ने दो बैच की दवाइयां हटाईं हैं |

सीडीएससीओ की जानकारी के बाद कंपनी ने जून और जुलाई 2015 बैच की दवाइयों को मार्केट से हटा लिया है। कंपनी ने इस बात की जानकारी भी दी है। कंपनी के मुताबिक दो और बैच की दवाइयां भी जल्द हटा ली जाएंगी।...

कंपनी के 2015 की रिपोर्ट के मुताबिक, पैरासिटामाॅल इंडिया में सनोफी कंपनी के पांच बड़े ब्रांड में शामिल है और सबसे ज्यादा पॉपुलर पेनकिलर ब्रान्ड है।

यह पैरासिटामॉल और आईबूप्रोफेन का कॉम्बिनेशन है। जिन बैच की दवाइयों को हटाया गया है, वे जून 2015 और जुलाई 2015 की मेन्युफैक्चर्ड हैं और उनकी एक्सपायरी डेट मई 2018 और जून 2018 है।

Kohinoor diamond यह हीरा दुनिया के सबसे महंगा और ऐतिहासिक हीरा है. यह हीरा आज तक पुरुषों के लिए अशुभ और मृत्यु का प्रतीक बना रहा है, जबकि महिलाओं के लिए खुशी और कामयाबी का कारण. Kohinoor diamond को दुनिया के सबसे प्रसिद्ध, कीमती और अपनी तरह का सबसे बड़ा हीरा माना जाता है. यह हीरा चार हजार साल पहले भारत में Discover हुआ था. इसके बाद यह हीरा विभिन्न राजाओं, शासकों और हाकिमों से होता हुआ आजकल इंग्लैंड की Queen Elizabeth के ताज में जलवा अफ़रोज़ है.

इंग्लैंड वालों ने इस हीरे को बेहतर स्थिति में लाने और उसकी चमक बढ़ाने के लिए तराश कर कुछ कम कर दिया है. अब उसकी वर्तमान स्थिति 105 कैरेट और वजन 21 ग्राम है जबकि इसका वास्तविक वजन 37 ग्राम था. बहरहाल इसमें कोई शक नहीं कि ये अब भी दुनिया का सबसे कीमती हीरा है.

अन्य हीरे की तरह कोहिनूर के साथ भी कई परम्पराएं और कहानियां जुड़ी हैं. कहा जाता है कि यह हीरा पुरुषों के लिए अशुभ और मृत्यु का प्रतीक बना रहा है जबकि महिलाओं के लिए खुशहाली का कारण बना है.

Kohinoor diamond भारत के विभिन्न हिन्दू और मुसलमान शासकों से होता हुआ 1526 में मुगल बादशाह बाबर के हाथ उस समय आया जब उसने इब्राहीम लोधी को हराकर दिल्ली पर कब्जा कर लिया था. बाबर के याददाश्त पर मुश्तमिल किताब ” बाबर नामा (Baburnama)” में भी इस हीरे का उल्लेख है. उक्त पुस्तक में बाबर ने कोहिनूर हीरे के बारे में लिखा है: ”यह इतना कीमती हीरा है कि इसके बदले मिलने वाली राशि से दुनिया भर के सभी लोगों को दो दिन का खाना खिलाया जा सकता है.”

बाबर के बाद यह हीरा हुमायूं के पास पहुंचा. अकबर ने उसे अपने पास नहीं रखा. उसके बाद अकबर के पोते शाहजहाँ ने उसे खजाने की तिजोरी से निकलवा कर अपने पास रखा लिया था. उसने बाद में इस हीरे से ‘तख्ते ताउस’ को सजा दिया था. शाहजहाँ के बाद उसका बेटा औरंगजेब अलमगीर राजा बना. उसने अपने पिता शाहजहां को आगरा में कैद किया था और कहा जाता है कि औरंगजेब ने शाहजहाँ के जेल की खिड़की पर Kohinoor diamond को इस कोण से रखवा दिया था कि Taj Mahal का प्रतिबिंब इसमें दिखता रहे.

मज़े की बात यह है कि इस हीरे को ‘कोहेनूर’ नाम नादिर शाह ने दिया था. उसके बाद से आज तक इसे कोहेनूर कहा जाता है. 1739 में जब नादिर शाह ने आगरा और दिल्ली पर हमला किया तो वापसी पर तख्ते ताउस के साथ इस हीरे को भी ईरान ले गया था. जब नादिर शाह ने पहली बार इस हीरे को देखा तो अनायास ही बोल पड़ा था: “कोहेनूर” यानी प्रकाश का पहाड़!

1739 से पहले इस पत्थर का कोई नाम नहीं था. इस सुन्दर और आकर्षक पत्थर की कीमत के बारे में एक और परंपरा भी प्रसिद्ध है. नादिर शाह की पत्नी ने कहा था ” यदि कोई शक्तिशाली आदमी एक पत्थर पश्चिम की ओर, एक पूर्व, एक दक्षिण और एक उत्तर की ओर पूरी ताकत से फेंके. पांचवां पत्थर पूरी ताकत से ऊपर की ओर उछाल दे … पत्थरों के बीच चारों ओर के घेरे में पांचवें पत्थर की ऊंचाई तक सोना और कीमती चीजों से भर जाए तो यह कोहेनूर हीरे की कीमत के बराबर होगा. ”

कहा जाता है कि कोहेनूर हीरे को नादिर शाह से छिपा कर रखा गया था. लेकिन मुगल बादशाह मोहम्मद शाह के किसी घर के भेदी ने नादिर शाह को सूचित कर दिया कि हीरा मोहम्मद शाह की पगड़ी में छिपा हुआ है. हीरे के बारे में खबर मिलते ही नादिर शाह इसे पाने के लिए बेचैन हो गया. काफी सोच विचार के बाद उसने एक समारोह का आयोजन किया और यह प्रसिद्ध कर दिया कि वो दिल्ली का सिंहासन मोहम्मद शाह को वापस करने का इरादा रखता है. समारोह के दौरान अचानक उसने मोहम्मद शाह से ‘पगड़ी बदल दोस्ती’ का ऐलान किया और अनुष्ठान के अनुसार अपनी पगड़ी उतारकर मोहम्मद शाह की तरफ बढ़ा और फिर अपनी पगड़ी उसके हवाले कर दिया. उत्तर में मोहम्मद शाह उसे अपनी पगड़ी देने से मना नहीं कर सका. समारोह समाप्त होने के बाद नादिर शाह अपने कमरे में गया और पगड़ी की गांठें खोलकर उसमें छिपा Kohinoor diamond बरामद कर लिया. हीरे की चमक से मानो कमरा जगमगा उठा. उसकी चमक दमक देखकर प्रशंसा शैली में अनायास उसकी जुबान से निकला था ”कोहेनूर”

1747 में नादिर शाह की हत्या के बाद कोहेनूर हीरा अफगानिस्तान के अहमदशाह अब्दाली के कब्जे में आ गया. 1830 में अपदस्थ शासक शाह शुजा ने किसी तरह वो हीरा प्राप्त किया और उसे अपने साथ लेकर काबुल से लाहौर पहुंच गया.

वह पंजाब के महाराजा रणजीत सिंह से मिला और उसे हीरा देकर अनुरोध किया कि वो ईस्ट इंडिया (East India) के अंग्रेजों को किसी तरह तैयार करे कि वह अपनी शक्ति का उपयोग करके उससे छीना गया सत्ता वापस दिलाएं. महाराजा रणजीत सिंह ने कोहेनूर हीरा अपने पास रख लिया और 1839 में मरने से पहले उसने वसीयत की कि उसकी मौत के बाद वह हीरा उड़ीसा के जगन्नाथ मंदिर (Jagannath Temple) को दान कर दिया जाए. लेकिन वसीयत का पालन न हो सका.

1848 में पंजाब में अंग्रेजों का कब्जा हो गया और लाहौर के किले पर ब्रिटेन का झंडा लहराने लगा. लाहौर में जो शर्तें लगाई गई थीं, उनमें एक स्पष्ट शर्त यह थी कि कोहेनूर हीरा इंग्लैंड की रानी की सेवा में पेश किया जाएगा.

Kohinoor diamond को बड़ी सुरक्षा के साथ “H.M.S.Medea” नामक जहाज में इंग्लैंड पहुंचाया गया. रक्षा के विचार से इस हीरे कि ट्रांसफर की खबर अखबारों से छिपा कर रखा गया था. इतना गोपनीयता बरती गई थी कि जहाज के ट्रेजरी कार्यालय के प्रभारी और कैप्टन को भी अनजान रखा गया गया था. वह नहीं जानते थे कि लोहे बॉक्स में क्या ले जाया जा रहा है.

बहरहाल तमाम Security arrangements के बावजूद हीरा ले जाने वाले जहाज की वह यात्रा काफी संकटों से भरा साबित हुआ, अगरचे खतरे का प्रकार अलग था. जब वह जहाज मारीशस पहुंचा तो जहाज में हैजा की महामारी फैल गई. बंदरगाह वालों ने जहाज को वहां ठहरने की अनुमति नहीं दी. जहाज वाले आगामी यात्रा के लिए आवश्यक उपकरण, राशन आदि प्राप्त करना चाहते थे. लेकिन मॉरीशस के लोगों ने उनके खिलाफ जुलूस निकाला और मांग की कि जहाज बंदरगाह की सीमा में प्रवेश करने की कोशिश करे तो उस पर गोलियां बरसाई जाएं. मॉरीशस से रवाना होने के बाद जहाज सख्त तूफान में फंस गया. बहरहाल 16 अप्रैल 1850 को भारत से रवाना होने वाला जहाज लगभग 86 दिनों की यात्रा के बाद इंग्लैंड पहुंचा.

उस समय भारत के Governor General Lord Dahlias ने हीरा इंग्लैंड पहुंचने की खबर मिलते ही महाराजा रंजीत सिंह के विराजमान पुत्र दिलीप सिंह को लंदन रवाना कर दिया. उसने लंदन पहुंचकर कोहेनूर हीरा रानी Victoria को पेश किया. उसी साल यानी 1851 में कोहेनूर हीरे को हाईडपार में रखा गया गया ताकि जनता उसका दर्शन कर सकें. 1851 से अब तक कोहेनूर हीरा ब्रिटेन के कब्जे में है.

डॉ॰ मार्टिन लूथर किंग, जूनियर (15 जनवरी 1929 – 4 अप्रैल 1968) अमेरिका के एक पादरी, आन्दोलनकारी (ऐक्टिविस्ट) एवं अफ्रीकी-अमेरिकी नागरिक अधिकारों के संघर्ष के प्रमुख नेता थे। उन्हें अमेरिका का गांधी भी कहा जाता है। उनके प्रयत्नों से अमेरिका में नागरिक अधिकारों के क्षेत्र में प्रगति हुई; इसलिये उन्हें आज मानव अधिकारों के प्रतीक के रूप में भी देखा जाता है। दो चर्चों ने उनको सन्त के रूप में भी मान्यता प्रदान की है।

आज जो कहानी में आपके साथ शेयर कर रहा हूँ वो हमारे ही एक भाई के साथ घटित हुई हैं , जो रोडवेज़ बसों में व्याप्त भ्रष्टाचार के बारे में है | मेरा आप सबसे अनुरोध है कि इस पोस्ट को ज्यादा से ज्यादा शेयर करें | तथा भ्रष्टाचार के विरुद्ध एक छोटी सी लड़ाई में हमारा साथ दे |

"मैं इस बस में दिल्ली से जयपुर के लिए सफ़र कर रहा था | ड्राईवर ने बस हाईवे पर शाहजहाँपुर पे खुशबु होटल पर खाने के लिए रोकी | वहां मैंने देखा की एक बुज़ुर्ग ने जो की देखने में बहुत ही दरिद्र था उसने एक आलू का पराठा आर्डर किया जिसका मूल्य 20 रुपये था | कुछ ही देर में वेटर दो पराठे और थोडा रायता ले कर आया और टेबल पे रख दिया !बुज़ुर्ग ने कहा की मुझे एक ही चाहिए तो वेटर ने कहा 20 में दो मिलते है उसके बाद वेटर एक छोले की प्लेट लाया और टेबल पे रख दी ! बुज़ुर्ग ने कहा की नहीं चाहिए तो वेटर ने कहा की पराठे के साथ फ्री है पर बुज़ुर्ग ने वो छोले नहीं खाये ! खाना ख़त्म करने पर जब बुज़ुर्ग पैसे चुकाने गया तो गल्ले पर बैठे होटल मालिक ने उन से 140 रुपये मांगे ! हिसाब यूँ बताया गया की 40 रुपये दो पराठे के 20 रुपये रायता के और 80 रुपये छोले के ! बुज़ुर्ग के विरोध करने पर होटल मालिक ने उसे पिटाई करने की धमकी दी ! होटल मालिक के पास बस का कंडक्टर भी बैठा था जो ये सब देख कर हंस रहा था ! जिसकी फ़ोटो भी मैंने पोस्ट की है ! उस बुज़ुर्ग ने उस से शिकायत करी की आपने कैसे होटल पे बस रोकी है तो कंडक्टर ने कहा की यहाँ तो ऐसे ही होगा तूने खाया है तो चुकाना ही होगा अन्यथा हम तुझे यहाँ छोड़ जाएंगे ! बुज़ुर्ग ने गीली आँखों से 140 रुपये चुकाए और कहा की छोले पैक कर दो इस पर मेरे सामने वेटर छोले को वापिस रसोई में ले जाकर और पड़े छोले के बर्तन में मिला दिया और कहा की आपके छोले तो कूड़े में फेंक दिए अब ! और सारे कर्मचारी और होटल मालिक व कंडक्टर हंसने लगे ! ठीक इसी प्रकार और भी यात्रियों के साथ हुआ और सभी ने बस छूटने की जल्दी में गलत रकम चुकाई !

बस में चढ़ने पर मैंने कंडक्टर से बहस की तो उसने कहा हो बन सके कर लो तो मैंने बस में जो शिकायत एवं सुझाव के मोबाइल नंबर्स लिखे थे उन पे कॉल करने की सोची पर जैसा की आप पोस्ट की गई फ़ोटो में देख सकते है की एक भी नंबर पूरा देखने लायक नहीं है ! रोडवेज के कर्मचारियों द्वारा सभी नंबर्स में से कुछ मिटा दिए गए है ताकि कोई भी इनकी शिकायत ना कर सके !

दोस्तों यह तो एक उदाहरण मात्र है ऐसे किस्से हज़ारो की संख्या में पुरे राज्य और देश में रोडवेज कर्मचारी और होटल मालिकों की मिलीभगत से हो रहे है ! हम सब इसे एक मामूली सी घटना मानकर अनदेखा कर देते है पर दोस्तों 140 रुपये किसी गरीब रिक्शा चालक की सारे दिन की मेहनत होती है जिस पर उसका पूरा परिवार आश्रित होता है ! हो सकता है की आपलोगो के लिए इस घटना का कोई महत्व ना हो पर मुझे तो भीतर तक झकझोर गई है | "

1. Everybody Dreams

Men do it. Women do it. Even babies do it. We all dream, even those of us who claim not to. In fact, researchers have found that people usually have several dreams each night, each one lasting for between 5 to 20 minutes. During a typical lifetime, people spend an average of six years dreaming...!

2. But You Forget Most of Your Dreams

According to estimates by dream researcher J. Allan Hobson, as much as 95 percent of all dreams are quickly forgotten shortly after waking. Why are our dreams so difficult to remember? According to one theory, the changes in the brain that occur during sleep do not support the information processing and storage needed for memory formation to take place. Brain scans of sleeping individuals have shown that the frontal lobes, the area that plays a key role in memory formation, are inactive during REM sleep, the stage in which dreaming occurs.

3. Not All Dreams Are In Color

While approximately 80 percent of all dreams are in color, there are a small percentage of people who claim to only dream in black and white. In studies where dreamers have been awakened and asked to select colors from a chart that match those in their dreams, soft pastel colors are those most frequently chosen.

5. Animals Probably Dream

Have you ever watched a sleeping dog wag its tail or move its legs while asleep? While it's hard to say for sure whether the animal is truly dreaming, researchers believe that it is likely that animals do indeed dream. Just like humans, animals go through sleep stages that include cycles of REM and NREM sleep. In one study, a gorilla was taught sign language as a means of communication. At one point, the gorilla signed "sleep pictures," possibly indicating the experience of dreaming.

6. You Can Control Your Dreams

A lucid dream is one in which you are aware that you are dreaming even though you are still asleep. During this type of dream, you can often "direct" or control the content of the dream. Approximately half of all people can remember experiencing at least one instance of lucid dreaming, and some individuals are able to have lucid dreams quite frequently.

7. Negative Emotions Are More Common in Dreams

Over a period of more than forty years, researcher Calvin S. Hall collected more than 50,000 dream accounts from college students. These reports were made available to the public during the 1990s by Hall's student William Domhoff. The dream accounts revealed that many emotions are experienced during dreams including joy, happiness and fear. The most common emotion experienced in dreams was anxiety, and negative emotions in general were much more common than positive ones

8. Blind People Dream

While people who lost their eyesight prior to age five usually do not have visual dreams in adulthood, they still dream. Despite the lack of visuals, the dreams of the blind are just as complex and vivid as those of the sighted. Instead of visual sensations, blind individuals' dreams typically include information from the other senses such as sound, touch, taste, hearing and smell.

9. You Are Paralyzed During Your Dreams

REM sleep, the stage of sleep during which dreaming occurs, is characterized by paralysis of the voluntary muscles. Why? The phenomenon is known as REM atonia and prevents you from acting out your dreams while you're asleep. Basically, because motor neurons are not stimulated, your body does not move.

In some cases, this paralysis can even carry over into the waking state for as long as ten minutes, a condition known as sleep paralysis. Have you ever woken up from a terrifying dream only to find yourself unable to move? While the experience can be frightening, experts advise that it is perfectly normal and should last only a few minutes before normal muscle control returns.

10. Many Dreams Are Universal

While dreams are often heavily influenced by our personal experiences, researchers have found that certain themes are very common across different cultures. For example, people from all over the world frequently dream about being chased, being attacked or falling. Other common dream experiences include school events, feeling frozen and unable to move, arriving late, flying and being naked in public.

Proactive लोग इस बात को समझते हैं कि वो “response-able” हैं . वो अपने आचरण के लिए जेनेटिक्स , परिस्थितियों, या परिवेष को दोष नहीं देते हैं.उन्हें पता होताहै कि वो अपना व्यवहार खुद चुनते हैं. वहीँ दूसरी तरफ जो लोग reactive होते हैं वो ज्यादातर अपने भौतिक वातावरण से प्रभावितहोते हैं. वो अपने behaviour के लिए बाहरी चीजों को दोष देते हैं. अगर मौसम अच्छा है, तोउन्हें अच्छा लगता है.और अगर नहीं है तो यह उनके attitude और performance को प्रभावित करता है, और वो मौसम को दोष देते हैं. सभी बाहरी ताकतें एक उत्तेजना की तरह काम करती हैं , जिन पर हम react करते हैं. इसी उत्तेजना और आप उसपर जो प्रतिक्रिया करते हैं के बीच में आपकी सबसे बड़ी ताकत छिपी होती है- और वो होती है इस बात कि स्वतंत्रता कि आप अपनी प्रतिक्रिया का चयन स्वयम कर सकते हैं. एक बेहद महत्त्वपूर्ण चीज होती है कि आप इस बात का चुनाव कर सकते हैं कि आप क्या बोलते हैं.आप जो भाषा प्रयोग करते हैं वो इस बात को indicate करती है कि आप खुद को कैसे देखते हैं.एक proactive व्यक्ति proactive भाषा का प्रयोग करता है.–मैं कर सकता हूँ, मैं करूँगा, etc. एक reactive व्यक्ति reactive भाषा का प्रयोग करता है- मैं नहीं कर सकता, काश अगर ऐसा होता , etc. Reactive लोग सोचते हैं कि वो जो कहते और करते हैं उसके लिए वो खुद जिम्मेदार नहीं हैं-उनके पास कोई विकल्प नहीं है.

ऐसी परिस्थितियां जिन पर बिलकुल भी नहीं या थोड़ा-बहुत control किया जा सकता है , उसपर react या चिंता करने के बजाये proactive लोग अपना time और energy ऐसी चीजों में लगाते हैं जिनको वो control कर सकें. हमारे सामने जो भी समस्याएं ,चुनतिया या अवसर होते हैं उन्हें हम दो क्षेत्रों में बाँट सकते हैं:

1)Circle of Concern ( चिंता का क्षेत्र )

2)Circle of Influence. (प्रभाव का क्षेत्र )

Proactive लोग अपना प्रयत्न Circle of Influence पर केन्द्रित करते हैं.वो ऐसी चीजों पर काम करते हैं जिनके बारे में वो कुछ कर सकते हैं: स्वास्थ्य , बच्चे , कार्य क्षेत्र कि समस्याएं. Reactive लोग अपना प्रयत्न Circle of Concern पर केन्द्रित करते हैं: देश पर ऋण , आतंकवाद, मौसम. इसबात कि जानकारी होना कि हम अपनी energy किन चीजों में खर्च करते हैं, Proactive बनने की दिशा में एक बड़ा कदम है

Habit 2: Begin with the End in Mind अंत को ध्यान में रख कर शुरुआत करें.

तो , आप बड़े होकर क्या बनना चाहते हैं? शायद यह सवाल थोड़ा अटपटा लगे,लेकिन आप इसके बारे में एक क्षण के लिए सोचिये. क्या आप अभी वो हैं जो आप बनना चाहते थे, जिसका सपना आपने देखा था, क्या आप वो कर रहे हैं जो आप हमेशा से करना चाहते थे. इमानदारी से सोचिये. कई बार ऐसा होता है कि लोग खुद को ऐसी जीत हांसिल करते हुए देखते हैं जो दरअसल खोखली होती हैं–ऐसी सफलता, जिसके बदले में उससे कहीं बड़ी चीजों को गवाना पड़ा. यदि आपकी सीढ़ी सही दीवार पर नहीं लगी है तो आप जो भी कदम उठाते हैं वो आपको गलत जगह पर लेकर जाता है.

Habit 2 आपके imagination या कल्पना पर आधारित है– imagination , यानि आपकी वो क्षमता जो आपको अपने दिमाग में उन चीजों को दिखा सके जो आप अभी अपनी आँखों से नहीं देख सकते. यह इस सिधांत पर आधारित है कि हर एक चीज का निर्माण दो बार होता है. पहला mental creation, और दूसरा physical creation. जिस तरह blue-print तैयार होने केबाद मकान बनता है , उसी प्रकार mental creation होने के बाद ही physical creation होती है.अगर आप खुद visualize नहीं करते हैं कि आप क्या हैं और क्या बनना चाहते हैं तो आप, आपकी life कैसी होगी इस बात का फैसला औरों पर और परिस्थितियों पर छोड़ देते हैं. Habit 2 इस बारे में है कि आप किस तरह से अपनी विशेषता को पहचानते हैं,और फिर अपनी personal, moral और ethical guidelines के अन्दर खुद को खुश रख सकते और पूर्ण कर सकते हैं.अंत को ध्यान में रख कर आरम्भ करने का अर्थ है, हर दिन ,काम या project की शुरआत एक clear vision के साथ करना कि हमारी क्या दिशा और क्या मंजिल होनी चाहिए, और फिर proactively उस काम को पूर्ण करने में लग जाना. Habit 2 को practice मेंलाने का सबसे अच्छा तरीका है कि अपना खुद का एक Personal Mission Statement बनाना. इसका फोकस इस बात पर होगा कि आप क्या बनना चाहते हैं और क्या करना चाहते हैं.ये success के लिए की गयी आपकी planning है.ये इस बात की पुष्टिकरता है कि आप कौन हैं,आपके goals को focus में रखता है, और आपके ideas को इस दुनिया में लाता है. आपका Mission Statement आपको अपनी ज़िन्दगी का leader बनाता है. आप अपना भाग्य खुद बनाते हैं, और जो सपने आपने देखे हैं उन्हें साकार करते हैं.

Habit 3 : Put First Things First प्राथमिक चीजों को वरीयता दें

एक balanced life जीने के लिए, आपको इस बात को समझना होगा कि आप इस ज़िन्दगीमें हर एक चीज नहीं कर सकते. खुद को अपनी क्षमता से अधिक कामो में व्यस्त करने की ज़रुरत नहीं है. जब ज़रूरी हो तो “ना” कहने में मत हिचकिये, और फिर अपनी important priorities पर focus कीजिये.

Habit 1 कहतीहै कि , ” आप in charge हैं .आप creator हैं”. Proactive होना आपकी अपनी choice है. Habit 2 पहले दिमाग में चीजों को visualize करने के बारे में है. अंत को ध्यान में रख कर शुरआत करना vision से सम्बंधित है. Habit 3 दूसरी creation , यानि physical creation के बारे में है. इस habit में Habit 1 और Habit 2 का समागम होता है. और यह हर समय हर क्षण होता है. यह Time Management से related कई प्रश्नों को deal करता है.

लेकिन यह सिर्फ इतना ही नहीं है. Habit 3 life management के बारे में भी है—आपका purpose, values, roles ,और priorities. “प्राथमिक चीजें” क्या हैं? प्राथमिक चीजें वह हैं , जिसको आप व्यक्तिगत रूप से सबसे मूल्यवान मानते हों. यदि आप प्राथमिक कार्यों को तरजीह देने का मतलब है कि , आप अपना समय , अपनी उर्जा Habit 2 में अपने द्वारा set की गयीं priorities पर लगा रहे हैं.

Habit 4: Think Win-Win हमेशा जीत के बारे में सोचें

Think Win-Win अच्छा होने के बारे में नहीं है, ना ही यह कोईshort-cut है. यहcharacter पर आधारित एक कोड है जो आपको बाकी लोगों सेinteract और सहयोग करने के लिए है.

हममे से ज्यादातर लोग अपना मुल्यांकन दूसरों सेcomparison और competition के आधार पर करते हैं. हम अपनी सफलता दूसरों की असफलता में देखते हैं—यानि अगर मैं जीता, तो तुम हारे, तुम जीते तो मैं हारा. इस तरह life एकzero-sum game बन जाती है. मानो एक ही रोटी हो, और अगर दूसरा बड़ा हिस्सा ले लेता है तो मुझे कम मिलेगा, और मेरी कोशिश होगी कि दूसरा अधिक ना पाए. हम सभी येgame खेलते हैं, लेकिन आप ही सोचिये कि इसमें कितना मज़ा है?

Win -Win ज़िन्दगी कोco-operation की तरह देखती है, competition कीतरह नहीं.Win-Win दिल और दिमाग की ऐसी स्थिति है जो हमेंलगातार सभी काहित सोचने के लिए प्रेरित करती है.Win-Win का अर्थ है ऐसे समझौते और समाधान जो सभी के लिए लाभप्रद और संतोषजनक हैं. इसमें सभी खाने को मिलती है, और वो काफी अच्छाtaste करती है.

एक व्यक्ति या संगठन जोWin-Win attitude के साथ समस्याओं को हल करने की कोशिश करता है उसके अन्दर तीन मुख्य बातें होती हैं:

Integrity / वफादारी :अपनेvalues, commitments औरfeelings के साथ समझौता ना करना.

Maturity / परिपक्वता : अपनेideas औरfeelings को साहस के साथ दूसरों के सामने रखना और दूसरों के विचारों और भावनाओं की भी कद्र करना.

Abundance Mentality / प्रचुरता की मानसिकता :इस बात में यकीन रखना की सभी के लिए बहुत कुछ है.

बहुत लोग either/or केterms में सोचते हैं: या तो आप अच्छे हैं या आप सख्त हैं. Win-Win में दोनों की आवश्यकता होती है. यह साहस और सूझबूझ के बीचbalance करने जैसा है.Win-Win को अपनाने के लिए आपको सिर्फ सहानभूतिपूर्ण ही नहीं बल्कि आत्मविश्वाश से लबरेज़ भी होना होगा.आपको सिर्फ विचारशील और संवेदनशील ही नहीं बल्कि बहादुर भी होना होगा.ऐसा करनाकि –courage और consideration मेंbalance स्थापित हो, यहीreal maturity है, और Win-Win के लिए बेहद ज़रूरी है.

Habit 5: Seek First to Understand, Then to Be Understood / पहले दूसरों को समझो फिर अपनी बात समझाओ.

Communication लाइफ की सबसे ज़रूरी skill है. आप अपने कई साल पढना-लिखना और बोलना सीखने में लगा देते हैं. लेकिन सुनने का क्या है? आपको ऐसी कौनसी training मिली है, जो आपको दूसरों को सुनना सीखाती है,ताकि आप सामने वाले को सच-मुच अच्छे से समझ सकें? शायद कोई नहीं? क्यों?

अगर आप ज्यादातर लोगों की तरह हैं तो शायद आप भी पहले खुद आपनी बात समझाना चाहते होंगे. और ऐसा करने में आप दुसरे व्यक्तिको पूरी तरह ignore कर देते होंगे , ऐसा दिखाते होंगे कि आप सुन रहे हैं,पर दरअसल आप बस शब्दों को सुनते हैं परउनके असली मतलब को पूरी तरह से miss कर जाते हैं.

सोचिये ऐसा क्यों होता है? क्योंकि ज्यादातर लोग इस intention के साथ सुनते हैं कि उन्हें reply करना है, समझना नहीं है.आप अन्दर ही अन्दर खुद को सुनते हैं और तैयारी करते हैं कि आपको आगे क्या कहना है,क्या सवाल पूछने हैं, etc. आप जो कुछ भी सुनते हैं वो आपके life-experiences से छनकर आप तक पहुचता है.

आप जो सुनते हैं उसे अपनी आत्मकथा से तुलना कर देखते हैं कि ये सही है या गलत. और इस वजह से आप दुसरे की बात ख़तम होने से पहले ही अपने मन में एक धारणा बना लेते हैं कि अगला क्या कहना चाहता है. क्या ये वाक्य कुछ सुने-सुने से लगते है?

“अरे, मुझे पता है कि तुम कैसा feel कर रहे हो.मुझे भी ऐसा ही लगा था.” “मेरे साथ भी भी ऐसा ही हुआ था.” ” मैं तुम्हे बताता हूँ कि ऐसे वक़्तमें मैंने क्या किया था.”

चूँकि आप अपने जीवन के अनुभवों के हिसाब से ही दूसरों को सुनते हैं. आप इन चारों में से किसी एक तरीके से ज़वाब देते हैं:

Evaluating/ मूल्यांकन:पहले आप judge करते हैं उसके बाद सहमत या असहमत होते हैं.

Probing / जाँच :आप अपने हिसाब से सवाल-जवाब करते हैं.

Advising/ सलाह :आप सलाह देते हैं और उपाय सुझाते हैं.

Interpreting/ व्याख्या :आप दूसरों के मकसद और व्यवहार को अपने experience के हिसाब से analyze करते हैं.

शायदआप सोच रहे हों कि, अपनेexperience के हिसाब से किसी सेrelate करने में बुराई क्याहै?कुछsituations में ऐसा करना उचित हो सकत है, जैसे कि जब कोई आपसे आपके अनुभवों के आधार पर कुछ बतानेके लिए कहे, जब आप दोनों के बीच एकtrust कीrelationship हो. पर हमेशा ऐसा करना उचित नहीं है.

Habit 6: Synergize / ताल-मेल बैठाना

सरल शब्दों में समझें तो , “दो दिमाग एक से बेहतर हैं ” Synergize करने का अर्थ है रचनात्मक सहयोग देना. यह team-work है. यह खुले दिमाग से पुरानी समस्याओं के नए निदान ढूँढना है.

पर ये युहीं बस अपने आप ही नहीं हो जाता. यह एक process है , और उसी process से, लोग अपनेexperience और expertise को उपयोग में ला पाते हैं .अकेले की अपेक्षा वो एक साथ कहीं अच्छाresult दे पाते हैं. Synergy से हम एक साथ ऐसा बहुत कुछ खोज पाते हैं जो हमारे अकेले खोजने पर शायद ही कभी मिलता. ये वो idea है जिसमे the whole is greater than the sum of the parts. One plus one equals three, or six, or sixty–या उससे भी ज्यादा.

जब लोग आपस में इमानदारी से interact करने लगते हैं, और एक दुसरे से प्रभावित होने के लिए खुले होते हैं , तब उन्हें नयी जानकारीयाँ मिलना प्रारम्भ हो जाता है. आपस में मतभेद नए तरीकों के आविष्कार की क्षमता कई गुना बढ़ा देते हैं.

मतभेदों को महत्त्व देना synergy का मूल है. क्या आप सच-मुच लोगों के बीच जो mental, emotional, और psychological differences होते हैं, उन्हें महत्त्व देते हैं? या फिर आप ये चाहते हैं कि सभी लोग आपकी बात मान जायें ताकि आप आसानी से आगे बढ़ सकें? कई लोग एकरूपता को एकता समझ लेते हैं. आपसी मतभेदों को weakness नहीं strength के रूप में देखना चाहिए. वो हमारे जीवन में उत्साह भरते हैं.

Habit 7: Sharpen the Saw कुल्हाड़ी को तेज करें

Sharpen the Saw का मतलब है अपने सबसे बड़ी सम्पत्ति यानि खुद को सुरक्षित रखना. इसका अर्थ है अपने लिए एक प्रोग्राम डिजाईन करना जो आपके जीवन के चार क्षेत्रों physical, social/emotional, mental, and spiritual में आपका नवीनीकरण करे. नीचे ऐसी कुछ activities केexample दिए गए हैं:

Physical / शारीरिक :अच्छा खाना, व्यायाम करना, आराम करना

Social/Emotional /:सामजिक/भावनात्मक :औरों के ससाथ सामाजिक और अर्थपूर्ण सम्बन्ध बनाना.

Mental / मानसिक :पढना-लिखना, सीखना , सीखना.

Spiritual / आध्यात्मिक :प्रकृति के साथ समय बीताना , ध्यान करना, सेवा करना.

आप जैसे -जैसे हर एक क्षेत्र में खुद को सुधारेंगे, आप अपने जीवन में प्रगति और बदलाव लायेंगे.Sharpen the Saw आपको fresh रखता है ताकि आप बाकी की six habits अच्छे से practice कर सकें. ऐसा करने से आप challenges face करने की अपनी क्षमता को बढ़ा लेते हैं. बिना ऐसा किये आपका शरीर कमजोर पड़ जाता है , मस्तिष्क बुद्धिरहित हो जाता है, भावनाए ठंडी पड़ जाती हैं,स्वाभाव असंवेदनशील हो जाता है,और इंसान स्वार्थी हो जाता है. और यह एक अच्छी तस्वीर नहीं है, क्यों?

आप अच्छा feel करें , ऐसा अपने आप नहीं होता. एक balanced life जीने काअर्थ है खुद कोrenew करने के लिए ज़रूरी वक़्त निकालना.ये सब आपके ऊपरहै .आप खुद को आराम करकेrenew कर सकते हैं. या हर काम अत्यधिक करके खुद को जला सकते हैं . आप खुद को mentallyऔर spiritually प्यार कर सकते हैं , या फिर अपने well-being से बेखबर यूँ ही अपनी ज़िन्दगी बिता सकते हैं.आप अपने अन्दर जीवंत उर्जा का अनुभव कर सकते हैं या फिर टाल-मटोल कर अच्छे स्वास्थ्य और व्यायाम के फायदों को खो सकते हैं.

आप खुद को पुनर्जीवित कर सकते हैं और एक नए दिन का स्वागत शांति और सद्भावके साथ कर सकते हैं.या फिर आप उदासी के साथ उठकर दिन को गुजरते देख सकतेहैं. बस इतना याद रखिये कि हर दिन आपको खुद को renew करने का एक नया अवसरदेता है, अवसर देता है खुद को recharge करने का. बस ज़रुरत है Desire (इच्छा),Knowledge( ज्ञान)और Skills(कौशल) की.

Self Belief is First Step to Success

हरीश एक गाँव का पला बढ़ा इंसान था। मन में आगे बढ़ने की उमंग थी, कुछ अच्छा करने का उत्साह था तो घर वालों से जिद करके पढाई(High Education in College) के लिए शहर चला गया। हरीश यूँ तो शुरुआत से ही अव्वल दर्जे का छात्र रहा था, कॉलेज से भी अच्छे नंबरों से पास हुआ। एक अच्छी कंपनी में नौकरी(Job) भी मिल गयी थी। करीब 4-5 साल बाद हरीश गाँव लौटा तो देखा आज भी लोगों में वही प्यार और स्नेह की भावना थी।

गाँव के लोग हरीश इंजिनियर बाबू(Engineer) कहकर बुलाते थे, ये सुनकर हरीश कहीं ना कहीं मन में सम्मान महसूस करता था। कुछ दिन गाँव में रहा तो हरीश को किसी ने बताया कि गाँव में कोई साधु बाबा आये हैं वो जब भी नाचते हैं बारिश होने लगती है। सुनकर बड़ा आश्चर्य हुआ, हँसी भी आई, हरीश विज्ञानं का छात्र था और वो जानता था कि ऐसा कोई जादू संभव ही नहीं है। उसे लगा कि ये बाबा भोले गाँव वालों को बेवकूफ बना रहा है। यही सोचकर वह बाबा से मिलने गया।
हरीश ने जाकर बाबा को चेलेंज कर दिया कि आपके पास कोई जादू नहीं है, अगर आपके नाचने से बारिश हो सकती है तो मेरे नाचने से भी जरूर होगी। कुछ गाँव वाले भी देखने के लिए इकट्ठे हो गए। हरीश ने नाचना शुरू किया, नाचते हुए बार बार आसमान की ओर देखता लेकिन बारिश नहीं हुई, हरीश थोड़ी देर में ही थककर चूर हो गया। अब बाबा की बारी थी। बाबा ने नाचना शुरू किया, और नाचते ही रहे घंटों बहुत देर तक, अभी तक बारिश नहीं हुई थी। बाबा भी लगातार नाचे जा रहा था, काफी देर बाद आसमान में बादल छाने लगे, बाबा नाचते हुए थका नहीं बल्कि घंटो नाचता रहा। कुछ देर बाद बादल जमकर बरसे, घनघोर बारिश हुई।

हरीश शर्म से सर झुकाकर बाबा से इस जादू के बारे में पूछने लगा। बाबा ने कहा- बेटा ये कोई जादू नहीं है, नाहीं ये कोई कला है, ये तो बस एक दृंढ निश्चय है। मैं जब भी नाचता हूँ तो दो बात का ध्यान रखता हूँ। पहला मैं मन में खुद को विश्वास दिलाता हूँ कि अगर मैं नाचूँगा तो बारिश जरूर होगी और दूसरा अगर बारिश नहीं हुई तो मैं जब तक नाचूँगा, तब तक बारिश ना हो जाये। बस यही इस बारिश और नाच का राज है।

हरीश को अपनी सारी डिग्रियाँ आज इस ज्ञान के आगे कमजोर नजर आ रहीं थी। विज्ञानं(Science) की किताबें तो बहुत पढ़ी पर जीवन के इस अनमोल ज्ञान का अनुभव पहले कभी नहीं किया था।

मित्रों आप भी जब कोई नए काम की शुरुआत करें तो मन में खुद पे विश्वास रखें कि आप सफल जरूर होंगे और सफल नहीं हुए तो तब तक प्रयास करते रहेंगे जब तक सफल हो ना जाएँ। बस यही हर सफलता का मन्त्र है। कोई काम असंभव नहीं है आपकी सोच और प्रयास से ही असंभव को संभव किया जा सकता है।

Falling Coconuts Kill More People Than Shark

"Falling coconuts kill 150 people worldwide each year, 15 times the number of fatalities attributable to sharks," said George Burgess, Director of the University of Florida's International Shark Attack File and a noted shark researcher.

"The reality is that, on the list of potential dangers encountered in aquatic recreation, sharks are right at the bottom of the list," said Burgess who was one of three scientists participating Tuesday in a National Sea Grant College Program and NOAA Fisheries sponsored press briefing on sharks and the risks of shark attacks at the National Press Club.

The event served to put the risk of shark attacks in perspective, provide resources on how to reduce the chance of a shark encounter, explain the scientific value of sharks to the coastal ecosystem and discuss fisheries management and conservation issues.

The event also marked the launch of a special NOAA informational website on sharks.

The need for public education about sharks and shark attacks arose after intense media attention was given to last summer's shark encounters. The frenzy surrounding sharks was capped by one publication dubbing 2001 "The Summer of the Shark" in a July cover story. The result was a frightened public -- especially along the East Coast, where much of the shark attack publicity was centered.

Burgess explained that the prevailing perception was that 2001 was a record year for shark attacks. In fact, the number of unprovoked shark attacks in the U.S. during the summer of 2001 was nearly identical to the previous summer. Internationally, there were actually fewer (76) unprovoked attacks last summer than in the summer of 2000, when there were 86.

While the number of shark attacks has consistently risen from year to year, so has the human population, said Burgess. More people spend time in or near the ocean than ever before. Additionally, records for tracking shark attacks have become more efficient, contributing to the increased numbers of shark incidences.

Joining Burgess in the presentations about shark attacks, shark biology and shark conservation and management were Bob Hueter, Director of the Center for Shark Research at the Mote Marine Laboratory and Rebecca Lent, Deputy Assistant Administrator for Regulatory Programs at NOAA Fisheries.

In her presentation, Lent noted that shark populations are not rising. Some shark populations have been in decline since the mid-1980s, when the commercial fishing industry began catching sharks in great numbers.

Sharks are vulnerable to overfishing because they have long lives, require many years to mature and produce few young at a time. Since recovery to pre-fishing populations will take many years, it is important for the shark fishery to be managed to promote its long-term health, explained Lent.

Current management efforts, developed by NOAA Fisheries in 1993, include harvest limits in commercial and recreational fisheries, data collection programs, permitting and reporting requirements, bycatch reduction of sharks in all fisheries and promoting sea safety for shark fishermen. These measures apply to sharks in the Atlantic Ocean, Gulf of Mexico and the Caribbean Sea and may soon include the Pacific Ocean.

In 2001, NOAA Fisheries implemented the Shark Finning Prohibition Act, a national ban on the practice of removing a shark's fin and dumping the remaining body into the water. They also released a National Plan for Action for the Conservation and Management of Sharks, and encouraged other countries to develop similar shark conservation and management measures.

"The benefits of sharks to people far outweigh the threat they pose," said Bob Hueter, Director of the Center for Shark Research at the Mote Marine Laboratory. Their unique biology and resource value make them an important marine resource.

One of the shark's benefits to the ocean environment, Hueter explained, is its position on top of the food chain. As a predator to most animals, it provides ecological balance and biological control of other species.

Sharks provide benefits to human health, too, with anti-cancer properties and as a source of therapeutic materials. Also, its highly developed biological structure makes it a classic vertebrate anatomy tool.

Most sharks feed on smaller fishes and other marine creatures, not humans. When a shark bites a person, it is usually by mistake. Once it realizes that it has not bitten a fish, it lets go and swims away. The result is usually a bruise or cut that requires stitches but is not life-threatening. Occasionally, however, shark bites cause serious injuries and can be fatal on rare occasions.

The relative risk of a shark attack is very small, but risks should always be minimized whenever possible in any activity. The chances of having an interaction with a shark can be reduced if one heeds the following advice that comes from Burgess's International Shark Attack File Website:

* Always stay in groups, as sharks are more likely to attack a solitary individual.

* Do not wander too far from shore -- this isolates an individual and additionally places one far away from assistance.

* Avoid being in the water during darkness or twilight hours when sharks are most active and have a competitive sensory advantage.

* Do not enter the water if bleeding from an open wound or if menstruating -- a shark's olfactory ability is acute.

* Wearing shiny jewelry is discouraged because the reflected light resembles the sheen of fish scales.

* Avoid waters with known effluents or sewage and those being used by sport or commercial fishermen, especially if there are signs of bait fishes or feeding activity. Diving seabirds are good indicators of such action.

* Sightings of porpoises do not indicate the absence of sharks -- both often eat the same food items.

* Use extra caution when waters are murky and avoid uneven tanning and bright colored clothing -- sharks see contrast particularly well.

* Refrain from excess splashing and do not allow pets in the water because of their erratic movements.

* Exercise caution when occupying the area between sandbars or near steep drop offs -- these are favorite hangouts for sharks.

* Do not enter the water if sharks are known to be present and evacuate the water if sharks are seen while there. And, of course, do not harass a shark if you see one.
