Known to many for a multitude of reasons, Marty is the force behind OKC-SPAN, which in his words is an "independent journalistic endeavor" where he covers and live tweets public meetings in Oklahoma City. He is the husband of Oklahoma City's Ward 6 Councilmember JoBeth Hamon (14:00) and attends as many public meetings in Oklahoma County, not just OKC, as he can. (28:05) Doing so allows him to provide insight into local government workings that not many people have all the while adding his famous snark and opinions. (52:17) Being people oriented and experienced in helping others, he details some hurdles the people of OKC face when it comes to transit, healthcare, and experiencing homelessness (1:08:13).
