'Hiding Places' Out Now to Download for Free / NME Daily Download

Hey Guys,

Our brand new single 'Hiding Places' is out now and available to download for FREE! Just click here and you can get your hands on it for absolutely nothing! There are also extremely limited physical copies of the single which include b-side 'Parachutes and Flying Machines' just click here. Alternatively the single can be found on itunes worldwide.

To celebrate the release of 'Hiding Places' we played an amazing sold out single launch at Barfly on Monday, and then rocked 'Home House Live' on the Tuesday. Both were incredible and thank you so much for coming down. You can see some great photos from the Barfly show by Dan Donovan here and Toby Keane here.

As if getting 'Hiding Places' free isn't enough, NME have made album track 'The Longest Calm' their Daily Download, which you can also get for free here.

We've got a few of the limited edition t-shirts that were hand printed by Caspar exclusively for the single launch left, so we'll be setting up a shop for those really soon, they look awesome!

Fearne Plays 'Hiding Places' on Radio 1 / Single Launch NEXT MONDAY!

Our Monday morning was brightened listening to Fearne giving us an airing on Radio 1 as part of the new music generator. If you haven't heard it, then you can listen back here, it's about 40m 30s in and well worth tuning in for.

'Hiding Places' is released next Monday 27th September, and if you didn't know already we're celebrating the release with our single launch at the Barfly that night. 5.19 Show/'Push'/Single Launch/New Video

Hey People,

There's been loads going on in the Union Sound Set camp!

First off, next Wednesday the 22nd September, we'll be live on BBC Switch's 'The 5.19 Show' performing 'Hiding Places' and chatting with Tom Deacon and AJ Odudu, watch live here

Next, if you've been watching the brand new show on Fiver called 'Push', then you will have heard a lot from our forthcoming album already! We're on the soundtrack to the new series and it sounds great, for more info and to watch some episodes click here.

'Hiding Places' is released in just over a week and we're celebrating with a show at the Barfly on Monday 27th September, we're being joined by Ex Libras and Burning Codes and it's gonna be a hell of a night. If you haven't got tickets already then buy them here and get a free mp3 from our forthcoming album 'Start / Stop'.

Finally we've just returned from shooting our video for our second single 'Cause and Resolve' and we're so excited about seeing the finished cut, it was a pleasure shooting again with the excellent 'Sitcom Soldiers', and it's gonna be great!

As the newest (just about) member of the band, I thought it might be nice to write a little 'hello!', and thank everyone both reading this blog, and in the band/team for being so welcoming. The album process up until now has been a heck of a process, and I am astonished and in awe of how much work is going into it from everybody. Shooting videos and playing shows is great fun, but only a small part of what is needed, and I sometimes find myself struggling to keep up (although always pleased to do so) - I really can't wait for everyone to hear the album in full.

I'm writing this blog from an internet cafe in Galashiels, Scotland, as part of a thousand-mile Land's End to John O'Groats trek. I've been walking since the 28th June - so today officially marks the 6th week. I've been walking for the Chernobyl Children's Project, a small charity started in Manchester, to raise some money for them - and also to try and remind people that despite the 25th anniversary of the disaster looming (2 years before I was born), the effects of the explosion will be felt for another hundred or more years. I will be walking until the 3rd Sep (latest) and back in time to be thrown once more in at the deep end with the Union Sound Set boys.

Anyway, my money is running out on the PC! If you'd like to send an email, it's always great to get some morale boosting messages, and I'll endevour to respond wherever possible:
