Lack of updates. I know. Sorry ya. Pretty busy these days.

I was going to make the announcement page later on why I'm lacking of updates.

Hello People... Great isn't it? Friday.. I absolutely love Friday. It's my happy day and I've said this like twenty million times and I'll say it for another three hundred million times more. Just me ramblings.

Guess you have been wondering where I have been. Thanks for the emails. I am around but kinda busy lately with personal stuff and because of that, I have hardly the time to do crafts. I made some but haven't upload the pictures yet.

Now I am in my home town, Bintulu. Still dealing with my personal matters and in the meantime, I'm helping my father collect palm oil fruits. Below are some pictures of my daily works.

Oil palm fruits.

I collect the loose fruits that fell on the ground due to hard hacking to the fruit bunch. I have to fight with the ants and centipedes and all sorts of other insects and not to forget mr. mosquito. so many of them.

Hard labor. I pick the fruits and put them in the white plastic gunny sacks.

After I pick the fruits, I carry and gather them here. The big bunches below are carried by my father. Too heavy for me.

Insides of the oil palm fruit. To process it to become oil, it need at least 2 process, first the yellow part, then the hard kernel ( the brown and white center) will be crushed to make kernel oil. Exact steps I'm not really sure.

So there you go. A bit of education won't hurt you reading this blog. :) For the time being, which most probably will be until the end of the year, I will slow down on making crafts due to personal matters.

Hi People,

What's up? I guess this will be the last entry for year 2010.

Recently, I have been trying my hands in wire-wrapping. No knowledge whatsoever, I tried and tried, a lot of wires wasted, pierced bloody fingers and finally managed to make some pendants and necklace. Not that I am too proud of my-not-so-perfect wraps, but it was worth the time and effort. Above is my version of peas in pod pendants using Sarawak ceramic beads.

Currently, I'm still practising using cheap wires, and the beads are Sarawak ceramic/clay beads. Each are individually handmade, painted and baked (baked? not to sure what is the correct term :). Quite hard to find them exactly the same pattern and size. So the outcome of my pendants are different and unique.

So there you go. I am still learning the skills through free online tutorials. If any of you wish to learn wire-wrapping, there are some classes conducted by experts such as Kak Mas of WhimsicalnQuirky . You can check her site for more info on the classes.

A fun bracelet made from all sorts of beads. There's crystal, genuine cultured fresh water pearls, Sarawak handmade clay beads (black with white dots), bright orange beads and square pandora style beads. All mixed and attached to gold plated chain and at the end, button clasp.

This one in 18 cm long.

As the clay beads are handmade, sometimes it won't look exactly like the one in the picture. But, I will try my best to keep them identical.

Hi there people. Before November ends, this is my first and last post for the month of November 2010. Cool eh? Not. Seriously. Why is it no post for November you may ask? Not that I am extremely busy, just a little bit. Doing customisation for year end presents (never got the chance to take pictures, always forget one), got sick, then my cat got sick, painted the house (hard labor people), and finally last weekend, I went to MAHA 2010. MAHA is Malaysian Agriculture, Horticulture and Agrotourism Show held every 2 years and this was my first time here. The crowd was huge, there were people everywhere, booth everywhere, food samples and flyers, and as the exhibition was all over the place, didn't really finish the tour. The weather was kind though. Suam suam kuku.. So here are the pictures from my MAHA 2010 trip.
