Andy Edwards' latest release is called "The Aries Sessions".

This album collects the music created on two sessions that happened in March/April 2026. And when recording the sessions with Martin and Chanan we found out many of the contributors had their birthdays at this time and so I decided to call this 'The Aries Sessions'.

Featuring Andy Edwards, Martin Speake, Chanan Hanspal, Wendy Kirkland, Pat Sprakes, BD Lenz, and Mark Hartley.

"Madeleine" was Ghost Rhythms' third album, the fourth to be released on the Laboratoire d'Exploratoin Musicale record label.

The 17-piece band released 22 pieces on this 2 CD set.
More atmospheric or even cinematic compared to their prior albums, and very enjoyable.

A little while ago, I got hold of this fine little item: a promotional CDR with Daniel Rohr's performance at the 2006 Zappanale Festival.
If I'm not mistaken, Daniel performed there twice. Once in the theatre and then again on the main stage.
I don't know which one of the two got captured on this little gem, but it sounds great and it comes in a beautiful package including a 12-page booklet and an imprinted CDR label.

The first album by French ensemble Ghost Rhythms, titled "Ghost Rhythms", was released in 2007 on their own label, Laboratoire d’Exploration Musicale (LEM01).
The band, led by drummer Xavier Gélard and pianist Camille Petit, was established as a collective of self-taught musicians and classically trained players, with this debut setting the stage for their blend of avant-garde progressive rock and jazz fusion

Several tracks of this session, including ‘Willie The Pimp’, got released as separate tracks by Guy Segers through his Bandcamp page,

Eventually, the entire set has now been made available as “At Rehearsal - (1986/08/30) Full Album”.

The band featured Mark Bogaerts (sax), Daniel De Cort (guitar), Guy Segers (bass) and Ron Van Eyck (drums).

Unit Wail is a French Zeuhl/Avant-Prog band formed in 2009, known for their dark, intense, and heavily instrumental fusion style.
Founded by guitarist Franck Fromy—a key member of the influential 1980s Zeuhl band Shub-Niggurath—Unit Wail is often characterized as a more aggressive and modern evolution of that dark Zeuhl sound, frequently incorporating "King Crimson-in-hell" guitar riffs, filthy, prominent bass lines, and dense synthesizer layers.

The band has released four albums.
I recently enjoyed three of these: "Pangaez Proxima", "Retort", and "Egares".

Setna: Guérison

French Zeuhl fusion band Setna released their debut, "Cycle I" in 2007.
Their second album, "Guérision" followed in 2013.

Although the band is classified as Zeuhl, the music on "Guérison" is also said to be more spiritual, ethereal and uplifting than the typical darker Zeuhl music.

Three long pieces: 'Cycle II', 'Triptyque', and 'Guérison', plus two shorter pieces from the same session.
