It's ok kwn2...aku blaja kat kl ni demi masa depan aku sendiri...korang pun ada masa sendiri... itu semua korang sendri yg tentukan... "but" aku still active nari walaupun aku jauh dari teamate aku.. aku harap korang pun sama jgk... jgn stop hobi kita ni... walaupun org pandang remeh kat penari mcm kita ni... tapi kita dah berjaya buktikn yg penari jalanan mcm kita ni bkn teruk.. walaupun aku byk masalah... awek pun tggal aku... mgkin smua tu ada hikmah... aku rasa semangat setiakwn tu lg buat aku puas ati... aku teringin kita nari mcm dlu2.. tiap2 minggu showcase kat sunway carnival walaupun payment dia xbrapa mahal...tapi rasa puas..sebab semua org ada smangat...ada yg time tengah keja pun lari kejap utk dance pastu masuk keja balik...hahaha... aku harap korang xlupakn trus la minat korang ni...sebab korang tengok aku mcm rilex je tp aku tetap nari...sebab tu mmg hobi aku...harap2 korang pun pkir cam aku jgk la... hehehe ok la... aku dah lama xupdate blog ni... apa2 pun korang jaga diri elok2.... kita dah mcm 1 family dah... universal family... =)

" SPIN BREAKERS " ialah nama permulaan bagi kitorang. Bermula pada tahun 2005.
Permulaan yg agak sukar kerana banyak halangan dan dugaan yg menimpa kitorang. Lagipun kitorang baru je menceburi bidang tarian ni. Still NEWBIE la katakn.. Showcase susah nak dpt. Competition susah nak menang...BUT!! kami berusaha hari demi hari utk memajukn diri sendiri.. Pastu kitorang slow skit coz ada salah faham dlm group sehingga la kami berpecah belah.. Sampai la tertubuhnya group UNIVERSAL SQUAD sehingga la skarang.

Training training training. Korang mesti xpecaya mcm mana kami punya bertungkus lumus nak improve diri sendiri. Dulu pagi training pkol 8am smpai 1pm pastu petang pkol 5pm smpai 7pm.. malam pun training lg pkol 8.30pm smpai pkol 12am.. Mcm tu la kami training setiap hari sampai la ada 1 masa tuh kami rest btol2.. Nak tawu sebab apa??

Sebab kami dah berjaya menang byk competition.. Itu target no 1... Target no 2 kitorang nak ada Studio... Tapi belum tercapai lg.. Xpa org tua2 cakap "Pelan-pelan kayuh".. ^_^
Walaupun xda studio.. Kekurangan tu xberjaya mematahkn semangat kitorang.. Kitorang ada showcase sendiri.. Menang competition lg... Sampai dpt tawaran utk jadi backup artis.. Kami still berusaha utk target yg no 2 tuh..

Tiap-tiap hari training... sambil berfikir camna la nak ada studio ni...sebab semua still study... =.=" ....argghhh sukarnya.. Tiap-tiap hari meeting.. Pikir ! pikir! kalau la menang nombor ka xpa la jugak hehehe...^_^

Setelah bertahun kami menari...Sampai rasa mcm nak retired dah... Kami dpt tawaran utk "merge" dengan 100% Hundred Percent Dance Studio . Mulai saat tu la kitorang rasa lebih bersemangat utk menari coz target no 2 pun dah tercapai... kredit utk ICE coz dia yg call utk bergabung skali utk studio dia...Thx again..

Ni la dancer2 100% Hundred Percent Dance Studio.. Bleh tahan ar ramai... Ni baru B-boy.. Blum masuk locking & poppin lg... Mesti lagi ramai runtuh stage tuh...hehehe

Group universal squad telah ditubuhkan sekitar tahun 2007 - 2008.. Sebelum universal squad ditubuhkan kami semua dari group yg berbeza.. ada yang dari Island Squad, B-clan Breakers, pyramid crew, 69 Crew...mcm2 lg...

So kami semua sebulat suara bergabung kumpulan dan menggunakan nama Spin Breakers pada sekitar tahun 2005 hingga 2007 diketuai oleh b-boy Franky sehinggalah berlaku konflik didalam kumpulan Spin Breakers, dan semua berpecah belah.

Akhirnya B-boy Soul tekad untuk menubuhkan group baru iaitu UNIVERSAL SQUAD dan diketuai olehnya sehingga sekarang (2010) ^_^..
Perbalahan Spin Breakers akhirnya selesai sudah...dan B-boy Soul me"recruit" semula rakan2 seperjuangan..

Lepas ni XMO gaduh2 dah k...^_^...

Love you forever my King of Pop and King of Peace
I will miss you so much Michael because you have blessed and entertained my heart and soul. I am so grateful that I had the chance to share your presence on this world. Thank goodness for technology, I can continue to experience joy as I watch you perform and talk about your life on youtube.com and TV. Watching you on TV really melted away a lot of everyday misery. You did make this world a better and friendlier place to live in.

When I received the sad news last month, I celebrated the fact that you were planning another Comeback tour on my birthday-June 23, 2009. I didn't expect you to pass on so soon two days later after watching your tour announcement on television. I was in front of my computer when I read the "Michael Jackson dies at 50" headline. I could not believe it. Then I thought about your children and your family. You were too young and full of life to be taken away so soon. Your children are so young. I could never imagine losing my mom or dad at such a young age. This didn't seem real. This was a devastating living nightmare that I couldn't escape from.

Since the day of your passing, I haven't stopped reading the news headlines and watching CNN Headline News as a way to check up on your family and the outcome of the investigation. I have to admit, I did experience denial after three days since hearing about your death. I came up with a ridiculous idea that this was just a publicity stunt because the tour was called, "This is It" and you had re-released your Thriller album. Maybe, he will be dressed up in a zombie outfit and re-appear..no this wasn't going to happen. I have cried and mourned in private everyday since hearing the bad news. I am not crying because I am a crazy fan/idol worshipper that needs to stop being selfish. No, I am crying because the world has lost a great human being that has given so much to everyone. You always honored a higher source for giving you this talent and you made people feel better. No matter how wacky the tabloid stories were about Michael, I would look at it and say, "Hey, there is Michael-he's alive and sharing his love with the world that is trying to knock him down for being a wonderful person".
As for memories...

I'll never forget watching you do the moonwalk dance in 1983. You moved so gracefully and funky as if you were floating on the dance floor. My dad immediately purchased me and my sister a silver colored dance glove and collector socks. I remember laughing as the both of us tried to do the moonwalk while watching you on tv. Watching your music video, "Thriller" was a lot of fun too! Your "We are the World" video also touched my heart.
Since the 80's, my family and I have continued to feel a connection to you and your music-including your brothers and sisters. In Martin Bashir's interview titled, "Living with Michael Jackson", you told Martin that you never wanted to buried-you wanted to live forever. I also remember hearing you say you wanted to stay at Neverland. I believe your spirit will continue to live forever-you cannot bury the spirit. If your family is able to do this with the new owner, I feel that Neverland would be an wonderful place to memorialize your body.

When Neverland was open, you would allow kids with illnesses to come there for free. I would like to visit Neverland too if it reopens. Maybe the current owner will allow a nonprofit to come in on a joint venture and accept donations for Neverland to reopen to the public? A recording studio could possibly be relocated there? Cancer patients would really appreciate it as well as war veterans and the general public. I know this is one possible dream of mine. If Neverland turned into a nonprofit venture maybe the public could still visit it? A donation jar could be left for visitors if they choose to pay a donation so children, war vets and fans can continue to visit Michael's wonderful park. Well, I am just throwing ideas out but it's just a thought.

As for your family, I hope they will find peace during this tough transition. Sorry to hear that your childhood was pretty tough. Your dad, Joseph, must have been driven to make sure that you would become the best pop artist in the world. He got what he asked for. I don't want to judge, but I think your dad was more upset at himself for not being the number #1 pop star with his own band. He might have been trying to live his life through you-could that be why he was so tough on you and your siblings? He had the perfect child and he knew you were gifted. Someone had to make it to the top and he wasn't going to be happy until this happened. I do hope that your dad will hug you when he crosses over one day and talk to you about this.

And Michael-Thank you for telling everyone in this world that we have to show more love and take better care of our children. I'll never forget your charming manner and warm smile. As for your face, you looked gorgeous all your life. I love all the faces of you Michael. I believe that the spirit does continue on after this short life and I do plan to see you perform again when I reach the other side one day. Even in death you have spiritually touched so many people and brought them closer together.
Thank you for visiting our veteran and children hospitals to bring a smile to their faces. Thank you for continuing to shine when facing trials from others who could never see your true loving nature. Thank you for telling us it is okay to live and create our dreams. Thank you for reminding us to smile when our heart is breaking. Thank you for showing us to be humble through your actions. Thank you for reminding us to never give up.

1.B-boy (breakdancing)

The breakbeats of hip hop deejaying also gave birth to the dance form known as 'breaking' or 'B-boying'. B-boys would dance during the breaks spun by the deejays, hence the 'B' stands for 'Break'. (The more popular term 'breakdancing' was coined by the media, and is rarely used by breakers themselves.) Breaking is a high-energy combination of complex footwork, spins, kicks and 'freezes' - holding a position balanced on hands, head or shoulders.

The two strongest influences on breaking styles are Kung Fu (due to the incredibly popular Kung Fu movies of the 1970s) and the African-Brazilian martial art,Capoeira.Unsurprisingly, the flashy yet disciplined moves that the kids were seeing on screen or on stage found their way to the dance floor.

Breaking has a standard repertoire of moves, but originality and humour are also highly regarded. Breakers can draw inspiration from anywhere, but especially from the music and their own opponents. (Incidentally, 'popping' and 'locking', which developed on the West Coast around this time, came to be lumped together under the 'breakdancing' banner. In fact they are very different forms of hip hop dance, consisting of robotic movements, waving limbs, and various styles of moonwalking.)

The heart of breaking is the battle, where individuals or crews compete for dance supremacy. In order to get into a good crew, you had to battle the members of that crew to be accepted. Some of the original crews are still very much on the scene: New York's Rock Steady Crew, and Air Force Crew in LA, have been going since the 1970s and now have chapters all over the globe.

In the UK breaking has never been as popular as it is elsewhere. France, Germany, Korea, Japan and Belgium have thousands of talented Breakers easily capable of challenging the Americans at their own game.

2.DJ (Deejaying)

Anyone who plays a record on a turntable can call herself a Deejay. But hip hop deejaying, or Turtablism, is a complex art. At its simplest it consists of a pair of turntables, an audio mixer, and original recordings. Upon these the deejay performs techniques such as mixing, scratching, cutting, and sampling, to create an entirely new piece of music from the original track.

The roots of hip hop deejaying lie in the Jamaica of the 1950s and '60s, where the sound system was an efficient way to transport music around the country, and the deejays were popular and often flamboyant entertainers.

Musically it was an innovative period, with the emphasis on rhythmic experimentation. The afterbeat, the rock steady beat,ska,dub and reggae all developed during this period.

And deejays were experimenting not only with music, but also with technology. In 1968 King Tubby created the dub style of music by leaving out portions of the vocal tracks on a dub plate (the local term for the acetate disc), and effectively creating a new version of a song - what would today be called a 'remix'.

In the 1960s many Jamaicans emigrated to the USA, winding up in the inner-city ghettos of New York. One of these immigrants was DJ Kool Herc. In the late 1960s he used to deejay at parties, where he would chant improvised rhymes over the instrumentals and breaks of popular songs. Since these intervals weren't really long enough to get a good rhyme going, he would put two copies of the same record on the turntables and use an audio mixer to switch between them, allowing him to loop the breaks for as long as he needed - hip-hopping on the turntable. These became known as 'Breakbeats' - and hip hop deejaying was born.

Throughout the 1970s and '80s deejaying techniques became ever more sophisticated as the music and the technology developed side by side. Hip hop and electro musicians will look back with fondness on such classic instruments as the Moog Synthesizer, the TR-808 drum machine, and the Technics 1200 turntable - the deejay's Stradivarius!

When scratch deejay Mix Master Mike joined the Beastie Boys in 1998, scratching really made it to the mainstream, and formed a special relationship with Nu-Metal .Bands such as Limp Bizkit , Linkin Park and Incubus added a deejay to the traditional guitar-bass-drums line-up.

Hip hop cognoscenti will hotly debate exactly when, where and who invented such techniques as cutting, scratching, beat juggling, and breakdown. But it was Grandmaster Flash and Grand Wizard Theodore,the New York deejays, who brought all these styles and tricks to a wider audience. The 1981 album The Adventures of Grandmaster Flash on the Wheels of steel is a prime example of early turntablism, and was a landmark hip hop release.

Despite the profusion of technologies now available to contemporary artists, these techniques remain the essential arsenal of any turntablist.

3.Emcee's (emceeing)

Like deejaying, emceeing also made its way to the US from Jamaica. Most people associate emceeing with rapping, but rapping is only one Emcee technique. Some Emcees are experts at human beatbox (the human voice imitating percussion sounds using the microphone) or 'call and response'.

Originally, the Emcee's job was to entertain and stoke up the crowd, accompanying the music rather than being the focus. The 'call and response' was a popular way to achieve this, but it was always best to keep it simple:

Everybody in the house say Yeah!
Yeah!!

The poetry of hip hop is 'rap', a complex lyrical delivery of clever, playful and allusive rhymes in sophisticated rhythms. Rapping styles differ widely: some are sing-songy in their delivery, such as female Emcees Salt'n'Pepa while others concentrate on rhythm and rhyme to give their lyrics dramatic emphasis, as in this extract from Big Daddy Kane's 'RAW':

I go and flow and grow to let you know,
I'll damage ya, I'm not an amateur
But a professional, unquestionable,
Without a doubt superb,
So full of action my name should be a verb.

Traditionally, rap lyrics have discoursed on two themes. The first is a celebration of the rapper's own prowess, bigging up himself or his deejay and crew. This is battle talk, the element of competitiveness being very strong in all aspects of hip hop. The second is socio-political, and ranges widely from Grandmaster Flash's 'The Message', an elegy for life in the ghetto, to the passionate invective of Boogie Down Production 'Sound of Da Police', released a year after the Rodney King trial and the LA riots.

More recently, Eminem has brought rap narratives off the streets and into the (broken) home.

4.Graffiti Art

For some reason, a term such as 'graffing' hasn't really caught on, though the term 'tagging' is often used. The 'tag' is the writer's signature, and the most prevalent example of graffiti art. The tag that made graffiti famous was TAKI 183, the 'nom de graf' of a 17-year-old kid called Demetrius, who tagged as he rode around on the New York subway.When the New York Times published an article about him in 1971, graffiti art exploded - especially on the subway. New York's graffiti-covered subway trains are now a symbol of the city, as famous as London's red buses.

There are three main types of graffiti art, the tag being the first. The next stage is the 'throw up', which is an evolved tag with perhaps more of an outline, two colours and so on. The throw up is also the next stage historically, as the advent of the spraycan allowed mere tagging to graduate to more colourful and intricate styles.

Having perfected your throw up, you may then consider moving on to composing a 'piece', a full-on masterpiece of graffiti art. To be called a piece, it must consist of at least three colours. Pieces that stand out for their creativity or vibrancy are known as 'burners'.

In New York City, the spiritual home of graffiti art, you get 'top-to-bottoms' and 'end-to-ends' - it's not difficult to work out that these refer to pieces created on subway cars. The graffiti artist's grail is the 'whole car' - a long and difficult feat that takes plenty of planning, time and people. One of the best-known 'whole cars' is the Christmas Train of 1977, painted by members of the Fabulous Five crew.

Of the different elements of hip hop, graffiti art still has the most negative image in the eyes of the world at large. Yet there are graffiti artists, such as Keith Haring or Lee Quinones, whose art has graduated to galleries. Graf Art is essentially a public art form, often incorporating political and religious themes. But it is often condemned along with vandalism as being anti-social and destructive, and there is no First Amendment to help artists defend it.

The artists would argue that it is not destructive but creative, transforming the oppressive urban landscape with an art that originated with the earliest cave painters.

B-boy: Break The Beat

1.B-boy

The words 'Break Boy and Break Girl' originated from the Bronx of New York. In the early 70's Dj Kool Herc would play the 'breaks' of songs. Meaning, he would only play parts of the songs where it was beat only, no lyrics. This would excite the people to dance. So in turn girls and guys who danced to these 'breaks' were called 'Break Boy and Break Girl' or 'B-Boy; B-Girl' in short.
B-boying started with the James Brown's 1969 "Get on the Good Foot". When on stage James Brown would dance around with such energy and almost acrobatic moves, many people began mimicking his moves, so they called it the "Good Foot". The 'Good Foot' was mainly dancing around that involved drops or spins on the floor. Thus, the beginning evolution of breaking.
During the 1970's martial arts were also very popular, so B-Boys (for the most part) incorporated martial art stunts to 'wow' the crowds. And today b-boying has evolved into a highly demanding dance physically and mentally. With massive b-boy dance competitions being held around the world, such as BOTY (Battle of the Year) in Germany and the FreeStyle Sessions.

It is important to know that the term b-boy cannot be used for an emcee, DJ or rapper. Only breakers can be called b-boys.

Also b-boys do not like to be called "Break-dancers", as this was a term coined by the media in the 80's, and is not a 'true' hip-hop' phrase. Break-dancers are dancers who have no style and show their powermoves to get props from people who have no idea about breaking

2.B-boy

In contrast to popular belief, the TRUE definition of a b-boy is not simply just a male breakdancer. The main difference between a breakdancer and a b-boy is that a breakdancer is one who uses the hip-hop art form known as breakdancing to get chicks and/or to show off to his friends that do not know shit about breakdancing or perhaps anything about hip-hop in general; in contrast, a b-boy is one who expresses himself through breakbeats (beats that b-boys can break to) using various combinations or sets of breakdance moves such as:
-toprock
-uprock
-downrock (e.g. 6 step)
-freezes (e.g. single hand baby-freeze)
-power (e.g. flares)
-airtracks (e.g. UFO)

A true b-boy will add his own style to these various sets. These sets are innovated by b-boys through rigorous dedication and practice during "session" or breakdance practice. Any set that is "taken" or "copied" from one b-boy by watching another b-boy/b-girl is called a "biter".

A real b-boy will break anytime, anywhere, and any day, when challenged or "called out" by another dancer or b-boy/b-girl in a "battle". In many cases, a b-boy will encounter a dancer or another "b-boy/b-girl" that is "straight up whack" or simply disrespectful, in which case a b-boy will wish to "serve his ass". But in many cases, a battle between a b-boy and another dancer or b-boy, will have both sides showin' much peace, love, respect and even props.

Simply put, a b-boy is one who encompasses the essence of hip-hop through "the dance" or "b-boying". Thus, most b-boys think that krumpers are just plain whack.

3.B-boy

Term used describe a male breakdancer.
The term "B-boy" which was orignally "Bronx boy" originated in New york during the era and evolution of the hip hop culture. During the years the word has change into "Break Boy" or B-boy
which derives from the fact that the dancers dance to the "break" of a song.
A B-boy is a breakdancer who dances, to the break in a song, in a style using various gymnastic moves and body movements in an ability in which the human body may seem impossible to perform. Many B-boys tend to be recognized by their creative names, such as B-boy crazee.
