Finally after waiting what feels like forever Seth Sentry has released a new song. To make the news even more exciting it isn’t a let down.

My Scene is catchy as fuck, fun, smooth beat, tight lyrics, all the things you’ve come to expect. Here’s hoping to not have to wait so long between releases. It was worth the wait though. You relly can’t rush these things, other wise you just end up with all the same manufactured crap that saturates the music sphere.

House Of Rock’s stage will be taken over by Melbourne’s own Subjektive on the 11th of February. Az, Luke and Joel certainly bring their ‘Rock Driven Metal’ to life and are always a fun act to watch.

As someone who doesn’t know a heap about the metal sound, I can say that I really enjoy these guys. Sure there is some screaming but Az’s vocals are a lot more than just screeching as loud as he can in time to some melodic and catchy riffs. Subjektive have created a sound that anyone with an ear for good music can appreciate.

So do yourselves a get down to HoR for some live music, awesome talented DJ’s, lovely bar staff, pool table and fantastic crowd.

I’ve got to finalise the decisions on who to go see this year. It’s a shame I can’t afford to see everyone I would like. It is a great opportunity to check out some new up and coming comedians especially with the Raw Comedy Fianls happening.
Some must sees for me are Wil Anderson, Tommy Little and JMAC.

So start warming up those laughing muscles and get booking.

I love summer in Melbourne cos it means that there are so many awesome things going on. Soon St. Kilda Festival will be thrust upon us. Bringing with it amazing food, soooo much music, rides and there is fairy floss. In my opinion it can not be a festival without it.

Some of the peeps that will be gracing the stages are Owl Eyes, Sneaky Sound System, Blue King Brown, The Last Kinection, Boom Crash Opera, Lady Lash and if I kept on going I would be here for ages and ruin the excitment of checking it out for yourself.

The festival runs from the 4th till the 12th of Feb and there is plenty going on all the time. Make sure to check the guides and plan out what you want to see just so you don’t miss anything.

I have signed up for the 1 Million Kilo Challenge.
If you made a New Years resolution to shed some kg’s or you’re just a fat piggy who could do with shedding a few then sign on up and join in helping to make Australia a healthier place.

Then you should be making your way to either The Moonlight Cinema, Rooftop Cinema, Abbotsford Convent Open Air Cinema or Open Air Cinema.

I have yet to experience the Rooftop or Open Air nights but have had the pleasure of spending a few evenings in the Botanical Gardens with the bats. It’s an awesome way to see a movie with mates. Take the picnic basket and doona.
