40th Annual CA Dinner

This year will mark the 40th Anniversary of one of our most anticipated events. CA dinner provides an excellent opportunity for students interested in pursuing the CA designation to network with CA firm representives from various sectors including the Big 4, mid-size and small firms, as well as industry over a top notch 3-course dinner at the Faculty Club. Just a heads up to those of you that are interested, tickets are typically sold out within the first week of school. We highly encourage you to purchase a ticket during the first week of school to get your first preference of your desired company.

Get Connected! Information and Networking Event

Are you a post-secondary student who is looking for information about a career as a Chartered Accountant?

Do you want to find out about the different CA training options available and the kinds of skills and knowledge each type of experience can offer you?

Come get connected to the Chartered Accountant profession and attend an event that will provide the information you need to effectively plan your career as a CA!

The Get Connected! event will provide students with details about the different types of CA training experiences available and each session will feature a panel of diverse local CAs who will speak about their current roles (whether in business, public practice, government, education, etc.) and provide insight into what students need to consider before selecting a particular CA training route. There will also be time for mingling and networking with CAs, ICAA Staff and other students interested in the CA profession.

2011 Community Volunteer Income Tax Program

UAAC is pleased to present the 16th Annual Community Volunteer Income Tax Program. Our program completes tax returns free of charge for low income individuals.

We’re open Mondays to Saturdays, 9-5pm until March 19. We will be closed for one day on March 16.

CGA Employer Forum

On Monday, September 27 from 5.00 – 7.00pm, CGA Alberta will be holding an employer forum in the Stollery Executive Centre (5th Floor Business). Here, you will be able to meet employers with work terms and permanent placements starting in January or May 2011.

ATCO Gas, the City of Edmonton, EPCOR, Gadowsky Lim & Associates, Givens LLP, the Government of Alberta and Stuart Olsen Dominion Construction Limited are among the employers participating. Make sure you bring your resume as employers will be accepting them at the event!
