Each GTA will be assigned five groups to mentor and coach. GTAs will earn $9.36 per hour; attend one Friday lab section each week and hold regular office hours every week; and help prepare for and assist with an all-day business simulation.  The commitment is approximately 15 hours per week, with the potential for a two-semester engagement (Fall 2008-Spring 2009).     &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;GTAs receive one week paid training in collaborative project management skills by Dr. Vicki Milledge. Dr. Milledge has trained and coached over 500 managers from both non-profit and for-profit organizations.  In over seven years at Apple Computer, among other accomplishments, she developed an “in-house” executive search team and worked directly for Steve Jobs as the human resources manager for the Macintosh Group.  She is credited with personally finding and hiring over half of the original Macintosh development team. Kickoff ’08 will take place from August 21 – 25, 2008, primarily on the USF campus but also at other locations throughout the Bay Area as deemed appropriate.   &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Working closely with student affairs, career services, and other MBA programs staff, the Kickoff Coordinator will work on the following tasks:&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;•Plan schedule of Kickoff activities;&lt;br /&gt;•Secure meeting space on and off campus, then work with vendors to confirm room requirements;&lt;br /&gt;•Arrange audiovisual, food and beverage, and other needs in conjunction with Kickoff events; &lt;br /&gt;•Order and arrange delivery of materials provided to new students; &lt;br /&gt;•Develop and disseminate communications with new MBA students prior to their arrival on campus;&lt;br /&gt;•Serve as on-site meeting planner for all Kickoff activities; and&lt;br /&gt;•Assist with other MBA Programs office responsibilities as needed.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The ideal candidate is a current MBA student with skills and interests in meeting planning and management, writing, and administration.
