Review Skyline 2010:

As the film opens we see falling blue lights, like flares, raining down on a large city at night time, evenly spaced over the terrain. Then we see Jarrod (Eric Balfour) and Elaine (Scottie Thompson) being woken by blue lights outside the window shining through the slates in the blinds. Elaine thinks it is morning, and she gets up and goes to the bathroom to throw up. When she returns to bed the room starts shaking and Jarrod goes to the window to lift the blinds and find out what the ruckus is. An anguished shout from the next room stops him, and Jarrod goes out to find Denise (Crystal Reed) crying that the lights took Ray (Neil Hopkins). The blinds are up here, and the door is open, and as Jarrod looks at the blue light shining in the room blue/black veins start to grow all over his eyes, cheekbones and shoulders, and his eyes go mottled-opaque. Terry (Donald Faison) and Candice (Brittany Daniel) are also woken, and go into the living room where the lights are. Jarrod starts to move mindlessly towards the light and the others pull him back.

Review:

I found this film to be highly offensive. It was repulsive as it had numerous scenes (too many to count) insinuating degrading sexual acts. I find it fell short of being a porn flick. I did see the trailer to the film and was anticipating a couple of hours of comedic relief to the day. The joke was on me.

It was so awful that I can barely recall what it was exactly that drew me to see it in the first place. I loved Adam Sandler in Reign on Me and looked forward to seeing him in this movie, however, this movie has put the skids on for me as far as seeing his movies again. I can do without all the nudity and insinuated sex acts. America should be ashamed for giving this movie a PG-13 rating. I've seen a number of R-rated movies that don't even come close to what this movie did. By far, the most disgusting movie I have ever seen in my 44 years!

Review :
On a positive note, the special effects were very well done. The thestrals were marvelous--eerie, but strangely peaceful creatures. Evanna Lynch could not have been more spot on as Luna. Her voice, mannerisms and demeanor were amazing.

My only complaint about her was that she wasn't on screen enough. :o) Imelda Staunton, as Umbridge, and Helena Bonham Carter, as Bella, have to be two of the BEST casting decisions that they have with regard to these films. They were SO incredible. I was actually quite impressed with Dan, Rupert and Emma as well.

They have come quite far in their acting abilities. They have finally achieved the art of saying a lot without necessarily opening their mouths. The scene in the common room following the kiss between Harry and Cho was hysterical. Kreacher and Grawp were great additions to the films. Fred and George's exit was very well done, albeit slightly different. The film, if taken by itself, was really good. Unfortunately, it's a lot different from the book. But, as I'm doing a film review and not a comparison, I'll give it 8 out of 10, because I was highly entertained.

Set in the cold blackness of deep space, the atmosphere is soaked with a feeling of tension, dread and sheer terror. In Dead Space, players step into the role of engineer Isaac Clarke – an ordinary man on a seemingly routine mission to fix the communications systems aboard a deep space mining ship. It is not long before Isaac awakes to a living nightmare when he learns that the ship's crew has been ravaged by a vicious alien infestation. He must fight through the dead silence and darkness of deep space to stay alive.
In the year 2414, the USG Ishimura , a "Planet Cracker" starship, sends out a distress signal to the Concordance Extraction Corporation (CEC) during a mining operation on the planet Aegis VII. The CEC dispatches another ship to investigate, the USG Kellion. As the Kellion attempts to dock with the Ishimura, an auto-dock guidance systems malfunction occurs and the Kellion is badly damaged, crashing into the Ishimura's dock. The crew then begins to seek another means of transport. As they explore the apparently abandoned ship, they are attacked by grotesque monsters who kill off all but Clarke (who becomes separated), Hammond, and Daniels. Hammond recognizes that many of the ship's systems are failing, thus he and Daniels direct and assist Clarke in fixing them, so as to keep them all alive for rescue.
