It was in front my entire family plus with friends and nosy neighbors. It was my husband's first visit to my family, to my hometown. And since he is a foreigner, nosy neighbors were all gathered at the outside of our house looking in, nosing, and checking who the tall white guy was. Back to the proposing part, hubby popped the questions after handing all the gifts to my family. He was shaking while pulling the ring off his pocket then handing it to me asking will I marry him. I was the core of envy that time as the envious eyes of our nosy neighbors were on me. I cared less about them though and on how expensive or big the diamond was on my ring. I may not have a tiffany engagement ring, or hubby may have purchased it at the discount loose diamonds section, I cared less. What I cared for was the happiness being asked by the man you love to become his wife.

Not all women who are married at the time got the chance to wear an engagement ring. So being proposed with an engagement ring really brings joy to a woman heart. An engagement ring doesn’t have to be that expensive with all that huge sparkling diamonds. A simple one would be much appreciated. Besides, it is not the price that counts; it is the sincerity of the man with his intention. The search and purchase of engagement rings has been made easy and convenient through online jewelry shops. There are many online jewelry stores you can run to when looking for one. One of trusted online jewelry shop is White Flash that has all the sizes and styles you look for in an engagement ring. Aside from engagement rings, White Flash also has various diamond rings, bracelets, diamond pendants and even men’s jewelry.

Romantic Movies for a Movie Marathon

My Neighbor's Wife, Over My Dead Body, No Strings Attached

This was taken a couple of months ago I think. This was one of those movie marathons my sister and I did. It was one of those times when we couldn't think of anything but watch movies of about three or four nonstop. Actually during this romantic movie marathon, there weren't only three romantic movies we watched but four. The fourth one was No Other Woman. We weren't satisfied watching only these three so my sisters went out to rent No Other Woman but unfortunately, the said movie was already rented out. So the two run to a sidewalk vendor and bought a copy. As expected, it was a bad copy. I wasn't able to take a picture of it and didn't even able to finish watching it. I still hope to watch it again and hopefully I'll get the original copy.
As I know of, you can start with $1 to play this game but some bet to their highest dollars when engrossed or when trying to get the losses back. They would try more than thousands of times playing this game just to become a pro and earn a lot of money from it. Then there this game is taken as a business, seriously. Before laying your highest dimes on the table though, you must learn everything about poker. You can start by learning tips and hints to level yourself up from being a poker clown. Just click for Poker Clowns to learn the tips and hints.

I would say poker is fun to play. I played it a few times online and offline with my friends. There was one night when two of my new friends who love playing poker visited me and we played. The loser or the so-called poker clown would take a shot of T5 rhum as a punishment. It was fun and challenging at the same time. The kind of fun poker gives is to the mind of the ones holding the cards. It challenge your being tricky. It doesn't require a lot of thorough calculations and deep thinking, only a good decision making although the game needs to be played in a quite place. I bet that last two words give a wrong perception to the audiences of the game being a boring one.

Was Your Christmas Fun and Merry?

I know I am late but do allow me to greet you a Merry Christmas! How was your Christmas celebration? Some of you for sure had a merry and fun Christmas celebration with the family while some had a blue one away from home. We didn't have a grand Christmas celebration this year. We wasn't even able to celebrate it with the whole family. With the disaster that had just stroke in two cities in the Philippines, it seems so hard to celebrate Christmas in a merry way. Well, I just hope that you at least had enjoyed the Christmas in your own way. I am thankful at least I was able to talk to my mother on the phone and had bonded with my sisters Christmas Eve.

By the way, it feels like a decade had passed since I last shared something fun and entertaining in this blog. Wow! It feels like I've gone that long from the blog land. The holidays plus birthday celebrations have kept me occupied that blogging came last in my thoughts and priorities. I feel pity not only for this blog but to all my blogs for being silent for almost three weeks. There's another big celebration coming up, which is the New Year and before it comes I must make a short update for this blog. And oh, I almost forgot the alumni homecoming in the high school I've graduated that will happen before the New Year. I'll be busy for sure in the following days.

Christmas Eyeglasses at Zenni Optical

Do you want to feel the spirit of Christmas? There's a Time Genie. She can put you back in time to relive a day that you loved. If you could turn back time, what day would you relive if given this opportunity? The time I met my husband. I just want to relive that day to feel again the feeling of falling in love at first sight.

2. What did you do yesterday? same with what I do today.

3. You've been given 3 parachutes, but there are 4 people who need them. Who will you not give one to: Mel Gibson, Charlie Sheen, Kim Kardashian, or Simon Cowell? Why? Kim Kardashian, her boobs and butt sure are heavy, the parachute will likely give up anyway.

4. Where are you going and where have you been? I am going to sleep here in a few and I've been blogging.

5. They say that books read as a child make more of an impact on a person than books read at any other time in life. Are there any books that you particularly loved, that shaped the way you think when you were little? There was this book that I picked from a trash. I was in 4th grade then about 9 years of age. I used to read stories from that book before to the children in the neighborhood. I thought I would be a teacher.

6. What do you look forward to most in the next six weeks? Alumni homecoming

7. What was the last text message you received? It asked if I am still up from my sister Cheem. It's Friday night last night and she was out partying with friends. And I bet right now, she and her friends are looking for a place to continue "party! party!".

8. Do you prefer to call or text? Call.

DMC is a college where Cheep currently takes Hotel and Restaurant Management course. The candidate from Cheep's department won 2nd runner up. I recall the foundation day was sometime in August, I'm just not sure of the exact date.
Thor is a 2011 Marvel film directed by Kenneth Branagh starring lead stars Chris Hemsworth and Natalie Portman. I hoped to watch the movie on the big screen inside a cinema with pop corn and soda on the sides. It would have been nice that way but watching it from a clear copy CD on a 21 inches television wasn't that bad. I am so grateful to my sisters for renting the CD although I didn't ask them to. It just implies they were thinking of me while picking movies to rent.

Here are few of the casts of the movie Thor:
Chris Hemsworth as Thor
Anthony Hopkins as Odin
Natalie Portman as Jane Foster
Tom Hiddleston as Loki
Idris Elba as Heimdall

Genres:
Action/Adventure, Science Fiction/ Fantasy and Adaptation

Synopsis:

Thor, a powerful but arrogant warrior, is sent down to Earth as punishment for reigniting a reckless war. But after a dangerous villain from his world sends the darkest forces of Asgard to invade Earth, the hammer-wielding Thor will learn what it takes to be a true hero in order to save mankind.

What can I say about the movie?

First, first, Mr. Hemsworth is hot. It's his huge muscles that captures my eyes first, then his pair of expressive little eyes..and then his portrayal of an arrogant yet a very powerful hero Thor, the God of thunder. I found his arrogance cool and cute. I personally think he's perfect for the role as he has that pair of perfect, hammer-like muscles to carry Thor's powerful hammer Mjölnir. The movie has lines and scenes that made me laugh especially when Thor was thrown down to Earth living in ignorance. Of course, there were scenes that made me giggle, well not just me but made my little sisters giggle as well. You can't blame us. Wink!

It was a great movie. It teaches lesson and based on my understanding from watching, the movie teaches that being a hero doesn't need super natural powers for the greatest power of all lies in the heart. It is to show real kindness to anybody. It as well teaches one to grow up and to value a family. I am just a bit disappointed with the ending though. Of course, women always like "living happily ever after" ending but I can say the ending is very realistic. An immortal can never be with a mortal.

Before I dash off, I would like to share few lines of Thor and a line from his father Odin in the movie.

Photo not mine

Odin: Whoever wields this hammer, if he be worthy, shall possess the power of Thor.
Thor: What realm is this?
Thor: You dare threaten the son of Odin with such a puny weapon...?

So, have you seen the movie? If you did watch, do you like it as much as I do? If you haven't watched, go watch it now and watch out for these quotes above from two of the most important characters.

Game for Girls Online

Gamenode.com currently entertains me and my sisters online. I was bored from blogging one night that I thought of playing online games. I searched for those games for girls and my search brought me to gamenode.com where thousands of games for boys and girls, young and old are ready to be played for free. I then played a salon game, which helped me took my busy mind off blogging.

The next day, my sisters were kicking me off the computer so they can as well play. Haist! It's cool, they have been playing different games for girls offered at this site for three days now. At least they had learned how to multitask. Lol! They play online games from this site while checking their notifications and doing their thing on Facebook. This site is now our favorite so I had it bookmarked.

Disclosure: I am not paid for this post. I just thought of sharing in case you are looking for a site that could entertain your children online.

Saturday 9: The Last DJ

1. Who was your Favorite DJ and what radio station did you listen to as a kid? I forgot already but at the present it's Dr. Sam at Hot FM

2. What has been the weirdest thing you have worn in public? Back when skinny jeans was not the style, my mother let me wear skinny jeans. I found that thing weird.

3. What was the best part of last weekend? the night-out party with batchmates

4. What was the most effective punishment for you as a kid? kneeling on salt and mongo beans

5. Would you lie to your significant other to not hurt their feelings? I would

6. We're taking you order for breakfast. What would you like? I miss honey-buttered bacon, over easy fried egg and mashed potato with friend ring onions on the side with mustard

7. Do you celebrate Halloween? If yes, do tell. If no, why not? Last year in Orchid Villas, yes by handing out candies to the kids who did trick or treat. Now that I moved in a new place, I am not sure i'll be able to celebrate it. Generally, we don't celebrate Halloween, only All Souls and Saints day on Nov. 1 and 2 by offering foods on the altar and lighting candles outside the door by the doosteps

8. Do you hand out candy to the neighborhood kids? I did last year in my former home, I am not sure i'll do it this Halloween here in our new place

9. What's the favorite age you've been, so far? It would be 16years old. I was a striving little girl then...striving yet full of determination.
This lovely girl in the pictures below is my friend and batch mate who's currently working outside Philippines. I only stole (with her permission, respectful thief eh?) these pictures of her from one of her albums in Facebook. I like how she coolly posed for the camera sporting this huge orange eyeglasses on.

Every wacky, silly, cool, cute and model-like photos of her never passed my fancy. Undeniably, she got the looks and the body that can keep pace with runway models. So here goes another stolen photos of her and this time I'll share it to Orange Tuesday.

1. Adam Duritz (writer and lead singer of Counting Crows) mentions previous girlfriends in songs. In Mrs. Potter's Lullaby he sings “There a little piece of Maria in every song I sing”. Is there a piece of an ex that will always be a part of you? The fact that he took my dignity in a forceful way, yes, he sure left a trace. I have forgiven him but never will I forget that animal act.

2. Who was your very first significant friend? Her name is Jessica, a friend from grade school. I used to cry every time we parted ways after school.

3. What are four (4) things you hope to do this weekend? go clubbing with friends (done), visit church (done), get a new hairstyle (done), and sleep early

4. What do you consider to be the main purpose of your blog? to talk about things that entertainment hoping it 'll entertain my readers and visitors as well

5. Tell us something that you've never before written about in your blog because it's too personal. I was raped drunk at 17...there you go

6. If you could choose your doctor, do you prefer someone of the same or opposite sex? same sex

7. If you could dream about anything tonight, what would the subject matter be? to dream the person i longed to dream

8. How do you react to practical jokes when they're played on you? just take it as a joke

9. What's on your agenda after this weekend for the upcoming week? main agenda: pick my EON card in Union Bank, Zamboanga City branch

My Neighbor's Wife and No Other Woman

These are two of the local movies I badly want to watch. Both trailers are promising, truly teasing me to the deepest of my flesh. Ay? Viewing both trailers, I can say both movies have quality and have something new to offer to the viewers. Not only that, the actors and actresses look like they've given their best in portraying their roles. Of course, I can't tell as of yet on which of the two movies wowed me. I must watch to find out.

My Neighbor's Wife trailer:

My Neighbor's Wife is the so-called the most daring sexy drama of the year brought by Regal Films, a movie about friendship, love and infidelity. This movie stars Dennis Trillo, Jake Cuenca, Lovi Poe and Carla Abellana and is written and directed by Jun Lana. The movie came out in theaters nationwide on September 14, 2011.

No Other Woman trailer:

No Other Woman is an adult-romance film produced by VIVA Films and Star Cinema. It stars Anne Curtis, Derek Ramsay, and Cristine Reyes. This is yet another movie about infidelity. I've heard this movie has conquered the Filipino movie industry being the highest grossing Filipino film of all time. Wow! This fact has further intensified my yearning to watch the movie. I can't wait!

Friday Fill-Ins #28

And...here we go!

1. It's easy to say but hard to do.

2. Don't overdo, my darling.

3. Once upon a time, there was a child who dreamed to marry a prince and live in a castle.

4. We hang up ... the end.

5. What is this!?

6. Make it sooner than later.

7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to stay home and work, tomorrow my plans include bringing the rest of my things from the old house to my new apartment and Sunday, I want to visit chruch!

RIP Steve Jobs

Apple is mourning upon the passing of its CEO and one of its founder Steven Paul Jobs or most known as Steve Jobs. He was born on February 24, 1955 and dies at 56 on October 5, 2011 due to reportedly various illnesses.

Apple iPhone 5, I may say, would have been Steve's last big thing. I had a peek of it over the net yesterday and I was truly wowed (if it really was it) but I heard it didn't appear on the big Apple event. Peeking on the said newest iPhone family made up my mind on what phone would I get in the not so far future. Hopefully! I want one but it's not something I can own in a snap of fingers! I have to work for it. If I have to work day and night just to own SJ's latest innovation, I will. I want not only for what the phone has to offer but also because it is SJ's last big thing.

It was just yesterday when people were murmuring over the net as to why Steve was a "no-show" as well during the big Apple event in California only to find out after that he died. This said iPhone 5 could be a great remembrance of such a tech genius as he is. His death truly is a saddening news most especially to his family, friends, company and workers. Although I haven't got a hold of anything Apple yet, I am saddened upon hearing the news about the co-founder's passing. What will be the next Apple big thing? What will happen to Apple now?

With Steve Jobs' passing, Apple has totally lost not just a founder and CEO, a visionary and creative genius but also a foundation. Rest in peace Steve Jobs.

Memorable and Unique Brand

One way to help a business be known and be identified among the surrounding competitors is to have a memorable and unique brand. That is why when building a business, think as well of a unique graphic design for your brand like the ones I've seen at graphic design doncaster. Remember that a brand itself serves as a foundation of a good business as it establishes its position in the market and represents what your business can offer. My share this week is Another Sad Love Song performed by Toni Braxton. I fell in love with the slow rock beat and of course, with Toni Braxton's tough voice the first time I heard of this last 2006. Yes, it was the first time I heard this song. Check out the music video below.

The song tells a very sad story either about a person who couldn't let go yet after the break up or a person who's been missing a loved-one who's currently far away. When my husband left last year of September, I've been listening to this song. It made me teary-eyed every time I heard this song but I still kept listening because at that time I liked the feeling of missing him.

If I am not mistaken, I was with a friend from Manila named Jenny and it was 5 long years ago. I missed the impact of watching a movie in a cinema house with all the full sound effects and the big screen minus the noisy, annoying watchers. There is a lot of new movies already that came out and I want to watch it all. To name the few that I want to watch are Thor, Fast Five, Transformer 3, Captain America and a chick flick Friends With Benefits.

When it comes to local movies produced here in Philippines, I am kind'a left behind the train. The only new movies that I know of are No Other Woman and My Neighbor's Wife. I as well want to watch these two movies in a movie house. Hopefully, I could watch these movies in a movies house in Zamboanga City when I go there to pick my EON card either Wednesday this week or next week, depends on the money.

Anyway, complaining about having no movie house here in the city I reside, a friend (currently in Manila) referred a website where I can watch new movies for free and without the need to download. It's called AWOOH.com. Upon hearing it's free, I rushed to the site immediately and started running the movie Friends with Benefits starring Justin Timberlake. The movie did run but after about 60 or 70 minutes it stopped saying I exceeded the time limit and that I need to wait for 30 minutes for the movie to resume or pay for membership at Megavideo, which was the movie host I chose to watch the movie. Haist, I recalled a saying I once read that goes don't believe in everything that says it's free. I had two options: either pay or endure the feeling like hanging on the cliff. I was in the middle of a very interesting scene for pete's sake!!!

Well, it's not bad to wait. It's just 30 minutes waiting and it's free. If you can endure the wait then give AWOOH a try.

Saturday 9: Sleeping to Dream

And...here we go!

1. I need to seriously think about my future.

2. We've got through all the heartaches, lucky we were.

3. A great deal is easily sold.

4. I like drinking beer in a big tall glass.

5. It was announced void.

6. I want to stab you with steak knives. (I am talking to the steaks.)

7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to spend overtime online, tomorrow my plans include cleaning the house and meeting with friends and Sunday, I want to visit the church!

Cloud Computing

Have you ever heard of cloud computing before? I just bumped into these words a while ago. I learned that cloud computing generally is a term for anything that involves delivering of hosted services over the Internet. A user who would get this service called computing service from any cloud computing companies doesn't need to put his hands down and be bothered on handling the hassle of setting up the technology as all are provided from computing power to computing infrastructure, applications, business processes and personal collaboration. The service as well handle the delivery of software and all the needed services for cloud computing to work. All these are delivered to the user as a service and all he needs is to just have a set of computer and Internet access.

MM: Teach Me How To Dougie by Cali Swag District

I am sure you've heard of this song already. This song currently dominated the music charts and is one of the most requested dance beats on radios and in disco houses. Many were hooked on the beat and I am no exemption. I just fully got to listen to the whole music with my high school friends when they visited me the other night. I enjoyed watching them doing the Dougie moves while watching the different versions of the music.

Check out the original MV:

Some lines from the song:

[Chorus:]
Teach me how to dougie, T-teach me how to dougie
Teach me how to dougie, T-teach me how to dougie
All my bitches love me, All my, all my bitches love me
All my bitches love me, You ain't fuckin with my dougie!
I had read the full lyrics and although it is quite a mess (for me) but the beat is irresistible making you go "T-teach Me How to Dougie" while doing the Dougie moves. I still don't know to do the moves. Somebody teach me how to dougie...Lol! Click here for the complete lyrics.
