Here’s just a quick post to start your Thanksgiving Day.

Admittedly I received this video in a chain email and feared some 13 year old conservative talking points machine with comments from conservatives saying “See!? Even HE gets it!” but in reality this kid is just smarter than all of us, liberal or conservative. So chew on this before you chew on your Thanksgiving Day meal.

Now that I’ve thoroughly depressed you… Happy Thanksgiving!

But that’s exactly what former White House spokeswoman Dana Perino did on Hannity the other day. She was talking about how the Fort Hood shooting should definitely be considered a terrorist attack so they go on Obama’s permanent record, and then highlight her administrations own spotless terror record. OH EXCEPT FOR THAT ONE THING.

I mean, how can you argue that? How can you possibly argue against a Republican stump speech turned RAP!? Impossible!

The guy literally hit every topic imagineable, painting an unpatriotic brush over all those who dare consider themselves liberal. I’m not quite sure that’s what Jefferson would’ve said about Adams, even during the days the two loathed each other more than Michele Bachmann and logic, but whatever.

God, I hope liberals don’t make a video in retaliation. Any video that simply says the other side is wrong as their argument isn’t helpful.

But congrats to conservatives for finding their Will.I.Am. Perhaps now liberals will find their slightly messed in the head leader to start marches for the public option.

At long last, we have Obama’s reaction to the dreaded bow that essentially turned our country over to the Japanese. Naturally, he reacts like a sane person. Who could have seen that coming?

Doesn’t he realize that if he were to be put in charge of ANYTHING, there would be an anti-thesis to Dobbs just waiting to take his spot, because… something needs to be done.

I’ve got news for you, America-land. Bush, as is generally accepted, ran a crap administration. I’ll leave it at that and hold myself back from adding another Bush-joke to the already trite genre. Yes, Bush was not a great president. Did the country fall apart? Did America turn into a Roland Emmerich film? NO! We’re still here!

Our government is not designed for one president to completely change the fabric of the nation. They can make us look good abroad and change a few laws, but rest assure that Obama is not, cannot and will not run the nation into the ground (spare me the weak-ass “He sure is trying!” jokes, conservatives). There will be an election in 2012. And whoever wins that will face a new lot of people saying “something NEEDS to be done.” This endless, stump speech cycle will continue until I’m too old to give a crap, or (as conservatives predict, Obama becomes the Big Brother dictator they’ve been waiting for, plucking freedom and happiness from their very being.

Even though it’s probably not the best idea to yell at a priest on air, Chris Matthews does make an awful lot of good points during his tirade against the priest who doesn’t quite know how to manufacture a counterargument other than “we want to create life not end it.”

The issue at hand isn’t really whether or not abortion should be illegal. Chris Matthews assumes that fine, you guys want it illegal? It’s illegal. Now, what’s the penalty for a woman that gets one?

The priest can’t answer, and says that’s not his area of expertise, to which Chris Matthews counters that what he’s trying to do is interefere with the law, yet he can’t back up his statement that he believes abortion is murder. If the catholic church truly believes abortion is murder, how is there no call for imprisonment or criminal charges against those who have one? What’s the point of making something illegal with no penalties attached to it?

It’s an interesting exchange, even though Matthews needs to calm the hell down at times. Watch and see what you think for yourself.
