I thought she was never going to go! But tonight Scottish Ashley was booted off I’d Do Anything on BBC One.

Ashley has faced harsh criticism from Andrew Lloyd Webber for weeks now, and I was surprised she lasted this far.

I like Ashley’s voice, and don’t think she is as awful as the Lord implied. However, listening to her ‘Don’t Cry For Me Argentina’ with Niamh tonight I realised that Niamh’s voice stood out and had a very unique quality. Ashley could have been anybody, I have heard many voices just like hers in various competitions. The girl is talented, but she just wasn’t special enough.

The question now is, can Niamh last another week? She has been saved by Lloyd Webbet twice now, surely if she ends up in the bottom two once more she’s going home.

Recent Apprentice evictee, Jenny Celerier has no man, and doesn’t look likely to land one any time soon due to her all new super bitch reputation.

According to The People, Jenny told a friend: “Blokes don’t come anywhere near me. They’ve seen me acting like a bitch on the show and given me a wide berth. I’ll admit I went a bit over the top when I shouted at Lucinda and made her cry. I’ve apologised to her for that but they were crocodile tears - she was playing up for the cameras.”

Celerier was fired by Sir Alan Sugar on Wednesday night’s show, however Jenny has spoken out against Sugar sayin g that he based the decision on his personal feelings towards her.

“I didn’t like the way Sir Alan fired me,” she explained. “I don’t believe he got rid of me purely for business reasons, it was just because he didn’t like me. Yes, I can be straight-talking and tell people what I think. Yes, I can be bitchy. But I’m always upfront, and I am not mediocre.”

The newspaper also reported that Jenny has admitted to sleeping with men to get lucrative business contracts.

“I’ve used sex in the boardroom to get ahead and I’m not ashamed of the fact,” the paper quotes her as saying. “I slept with all kinds of men to get contracts - married men, single. All ages from late thirties up to late fifties. I didn’t see a problem with it. And I’m certainly no prostitute.”

Faryl first appeared on our screens last night when she blew the judges away with her rendition of ‘Ave Maria’.

A source told the Sunday Mirror: “Simon was blown away by Faryl. He is keen to see her do well and although she’s got buckets of natural talent, he knows that can always be improved with hard work.”

Faryl’s father Tony Smith revealed that his daughter has had multiple offers from record companies in the past, but they were turned down as the timing wasn’t right.

He said: “We have had offers from people interested in Faryl. But when Simon Cowell, the big man, says your daughter is special, you listen.”

“When people talk of a ‘real career’ you think lawyer or teacher,” Konnie told Celebs on Sunday magazine. “But not everyone wants to do that. So in a way, if your option is stacking shelves or being Chantelle, wouldn’t you take your opportunities when you could?

Each week, a number of over-styled and over-the-top girls and boys will be scrubbed down to discover what’s underneath - their fabulous natural beauty.

The selected candidates will be scrutinised by a straight-talking, non nonsense computer called P.O.D. - Personal Overhaul Device. It will analyse their look and ask the public to comment and answer a variety of personal questions, including that all-important one: would they Snog? Marry? Or Avoid?

The shocking results will be revealed, exposing the harsh reality of the public’s perception of our lads and ladies.

P.O.D. will then compute whether our candidates are in desperate need of a ‘Full’ or ‘Express’ Make under that will banish their fake hair, mahogany tans and tacky clothes.

If it decides on a total transformation, the ugly ducklings will be given a number of choices via hi-tech touch-screen graphics. If it opts for the ‘Express’ make under, our candidates will receive a quick fix fresh new look.

From sexy new hair and make up styles to some tasteful clothes, P.O.D’s amazing computer programme will go into over drive, converting the candidates into beautiful swans.

After a complete beauty reboot, the natural new beauties are revealed and once again, the public comment on the transformation.

Will the public’s view of their magnificent make unders completely change? Will they now want to Snog? Marry but definitely not Avoid?

In the past, Jenny admits that she’s too has been guilty of applying too much fake tan and wearing hair extensions. Now sporting a more subtle style, Jenny will be finding out if our candidates will follow in her footsteps.

Stripped of their fake nails and layers of slap, have they decided to ditch the artificial look forever or have they reverted back into their old ways?

When we were sent this trailer for the revamped show, I was quite excited about what the set would look like, how revealing the costumes would be and how many fit men would be involved.

I was quite disappointed therefore, to find that nothing of the sort is revealed in this clip. It did raise the levels of anticipation though!

I’d Do Anything judge, Denise Van Outen has surprisingly tipped Ashley Russell as a real contender for the role of Nancy.

“Ashley will be in the final. She’s really good and deserves to go all the way,” Denise told the Daily Record. “She looks right for the role and we’re looking for someone who has a strong character.”

She added: “Ashley would work very well for the male viewers. I love her hair and she’s really good at being real when she’s performing. I hope she holds on to that.”

I wonder if Denise’s pro-Scottish viewpoint has anything to do with the SCOTTISH newspaper she was being interviewed by. She can’t really expect Ashely to win!

On tonight’s Britain’s Got Talent show, Austin Blackburn tries to win a place in the live shows by playing the musical saw.

“I’m hoping to bring a new sound to the world of music,” Austin explains before going on stage. “People will be amazed - hopefully. I would like to be a professional saw player, a sawist? Whatever you call people that play the saw.”

Blackburn informs the judges that he will be playing ‘You Raise Me Up’, explaining: “I would like to promote the saw as a proper musical instrument.”

Once he is finished, Amanda, Piers and the audience seem impressed - but Simon just isn’t convinced.

Amanda says: “I am stunned, I thought it was absolutely beautiful.”

Piers adds: “The thing about you Austin is that when you first came on stage I thought you were dull, but then you turn out to be musical genius - absolutely amazing.”

But Simon complains: “I could not disagree with the two of you more. What we have is a saw that sounds like a cat being stamped on.”

Myleene Klass has been chosen by the BBC to front a new Saturday night reality TV show, The Last Choir Standing.

The show has been billed as “the biggest talent search ever seen on British TV” and will aim to find Britains Favourite Choir.

A show insider said: “Myleene’s perfect for the role, her classical music background is perfect. She was a great host on The One Show and the Beeb were determined to get her back.

“And she’s absolutely stunning – so there’s something for the dads in the audience too.”

Leona Lewis has been caught up in a Japanese earthquake during her recent promotional stint in the country.

Leona was sleeping at the Grand Hyatt Hotel in Tokyo when the earthquake struck yesterday morning.

Six people were injured in the quake, which measured 6.7 on the Richter scale.

A source told The Mirror: “Leona was really shaken up but called home to tell her family she was OK.”
