As you know, today marks the day of the second half of the year.

Have you accomplished any of the goals and “new year’s resolution” you had planned at the beginning of this year?

If you’re seeing no progress then obviously you’re doing something wrong. But hey, I admit that I haven’t accomplished some of the goals I had planned.

I remember when I was struggling with this whole Internet business thing. I remember wanting someone to just “rescue” me and basically hand me everything I needed to know…

Little did I know, there’s no “magic pill” to a successful Internet busines.

The so called “gurus” can tell you exactly what you need to do, but at the end of the day it’s about you. It’s how well you can implement what they had taught.

It’s like having the latest and greatest gadget that saves a ton of time to automate some sort of manual task. If you don’t use it properly or don’t, know how to use it then this gadget is pretty much useless to you.

I get a lot of readers asking me what my secret is to building a successful six-figure Internet business. Want to know the answer?

You won’t be surprised or shocked when I reveal this secret to you. In fact, you’ll probably be mad at me for telling you this, but I gotta be brutally honest with you here.

The secret is — Your mindset.

Your attitude, your beliefs, your inner-self…it’s all part of your mindset.

I’m a big believer in faith. If you’ve read ‘Think & Grow Rich’ by Napoleon Hill, then you’d know what I’m talking about. It dedicates an entire chapter just on Faith.

It was the first book on self-help I read, and I’m so thankful for that.

Here’s a quote I like to keep around:

“Faith is taking the first step even when you don’t see the whole staircase” –  Martin Luther King Jr.

Doesn’t it make sense if you simply put your mind into it, you’ll attract what you ultimately want in the end? I know it sounds cliche, but that’s the truth.

When I created my first ever successful website, I had no idea how I was going to do it, I didn’t know where to get the resources, I didn’t know who to talk to but some how I managed to attract over $15,000 in sales in 48 hrs from this site.

What had happened was greater than what I had expected…

* The site reached 507 on the Alexa ranking, so only 506 other sites in the world had more traffic during that time.

* I managed to generate over 6,000 new members in just 48 hours. That’s 6000 members I never would have had, had I not launched this site.

* I had top Internet marketers approaching me for a JV.

I couldn’t believe it. From just a small idea I had which I had no clue on how I was going to do it, to a five-figure launch. And this isn’t my way of bragging or boasting. I just wanted to share my story with you.

What I did have was a BURNINIG DESIRE. All I knew was that I wanted to make this website a success.

It became such a burning desire that I couldn’t sleep at night. I burned the bridges so that I could not walk back but move forward.

All that was needed was taking the first step. The first step is DECIDING on what you want.

Once you’ve decided EXACTLY what you want, the next few steps will natually flow from there. It’s as if you’re a magnet. Magic starts to happen. You will find ways of getting things done. You will find the right people to help you. You will overcome any problems you encounter.

This quote may sound familiar to you: “A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step”

And it’s so true.

So here’s the bottom line – the next time you’re faced with the latest hype out there, be sure you’ve set your goals and priorities right first.

What is it do you wanna do? eBay? Flipping sites? Niche marketing? Blogging? There are many paths you can take, and there’s nothing entirely wrong with any of these methods.

The best thing to do is to focus on ONE system.

Work the system, exhaust it until you’ve proven to yourself that it either works or doesn’t work for you. If it’s something that works, then keep doing it and doing it and doing it and doing it, until it doesn’t work anymore.

That’s exactly what I did to create my first ever successful website. I focused on just one system every step of the way until I saw results.

You might be sitting there and saying “Yea, I already know all this stuff”. I know you might be aware, and I’m not trying to insult your intelligence. I just hope I’ve at least reminded you of the importance of what I had shared in this message.

It may be green to some and it may be old to some. My goal in life is to help as many peopole as I can to shortcut their success, so they don’t have to go through as many of the mistakes others and I have.

You still got the rest of this year to reach those goals you’ve set. So what are you waiting for?

Your life is purely determined by what you decide to do RIGHT NOW. Hey, we can’t predict the future, but we can control what we decide to do next.

No one controls how you want to live your life. It doesn’t matter if you’re not getting any support.

It doesn’t matter if you fail the first time, because failure just leads you even closer to your goals.

It doesn’t matter if people are being negative about what you do. I’ve been through all that, and I overcame all the obstacles.

It doesn’t matter if your can’t get things perfect…there’s no such thing as perfect. You don’t have to get it perfect, you just have to get it going.

Get up and go do it.

1) Building a list of subscribers, customers and affiliates. Without my lists, my business wouldn’t be a fraction of what it is today.

2) Blogging. If you’re selling anything online, you need a blog, not just for posting content, but to build relationships and your credibility

3) Being part of or starting a mastermind group. You can potentially save months, even years by leveraging on those who are stronger where you are weaker. That’s just one of the benefits.

4) Your own product. The benefits are amazing. You’ll gain instant credibility, instant expert status, instant profits, 100% profits, you can open affiliate programs and it’s all passive income for you

5) Outsourcing your business. Think of it as a return on investment. You pay someone for a single job and get more free time to do more important things in your business which will make you money. Don’t wait, outsource your writing, graphics, and repetitive tasks. That’s when you’ll start to have a real business.

6) Being CLEAR on what you want. Once you know what you want, you’ll filter out what you need and what you don’t need.

7) Focusing on ONE thing at a time. One system, one product, one project, just one thing at a time!

8 ) Enjoy time off. I once heard from Alex Mandossian “Taking a day off work for the month can give you twenty productive days.” Don’t even check your email or turn you computer for that matter. Do the things you enjoy, spend time with the family or whatever it is you enjoy.

9) Attend seminars and meetings. It’s your best bet to meeting like-minded people; people who have a genuine interest in what you’re doing. There’s a lot of potential. The best way to start is to search for local groups and meet ups at www.meetup.com. I found three groups of interest from that site alone, and I’m speaking/presenting in one of them.

10) Create a “Vision Board” to accelerate your success. You might think that it won’t have any affect, but you’ll be surprised at just what might happen. I have a video that teaches you how to create your very own vision board. Click here to watch it

11) Renew, unwind and relax your mind and body by exercising. It’s like the oil and lube job for your car. You don’t have to do it, but your car would definitely run better. Personally, I go four times a week, combining cardio and weight training. You don’t have to build huge muscles, you can simply do resistance training or yoga. The benefits of exercising kicks in immediately after your first workout. You’ll feel more energized, you’ll sleep easier, improves your mood, overall physical body and mental acuity.

12) Using video in your marketing. Whatever your niche is, videos easily and instantly gives your product a higher perceived value.

13) Disallowing any negativity. If you’re ever in this situation simply think of positive thoughts, it’ll change your state quickly and easily.

14) Gratitude. Every morning, throughout the day and before you sleep, think of what you’re grateful for at the present moment.

We have a common expression “I’ll believe it when I see it”, but life really works the other way around – “you’ll see it happen when you believe it”.

Every accomplishment starts out with belief. You’ve got to believe that you have acquired what you desire before actually starting out. A vision board is a tool to help you believe and achieve your goals.

Here are easy steps to start your own vision board:

1. Get yourself a plain, white board, approx 30″ wide. You can get it at your local office supplies store.
2. Write down all your desires and goals on a notepad. This will help you in the gathering process.
3. Now to gathering your “dreams” – Find any magazines where you can find pictures of your desires. Another good idea is to search on the web for images and simply print them out. You can type words of inspiration and print them out as well.
4. In no particular order, glue your cut-outs on your board.
5. Hang your vision board in a distance where you can simply role your eyes to see it.
6. You don’t want to miss this step – you need to have intention, you need to visualize, you need to believe, you need to take positive action and be grateful with your current state, no matter how bad the circumstances are. Gratitude will defend you from any negativity.

Once your vision board’s up, you’ll soon attract the things you desire, you’ll be more open to opportunities and more.

So that’s my video tour of the apartment.

The point of this video was not to brag or boast, but to show you the potential of what an Internet marketing business can do for you. I want to show everyone that it is possible for anyone to get what they desire from an Internet business.

Buying this luxury apartment wasn’t easy – I had a real burning desire to succeed in this business. I overcame many obstacles and blockages throughout my venture, and still am, but faith, determination and a strong will had attracted what I desired.

I’m living proof of it, and I want to help you reach yours goals as much as I can from the products, tutorials and valuable information I’ll be sharing with you in the coming months and years.

About eight months ago, I hired a programmer. This programmer, who I can’t name, worked on a software which I had assigned him to.  It was a software which would process my entire sales process, so I know that this kind of project would take time.

We both agreed on the requirements of the project, like how often to report to me, service fees etc. The programmer estimated the project to take 2 1/2 months, based on my requirements.

I didn’t find this programmer through any freelance sites like elance.com or the like, I found him through a friend, so my initial impression of this programmer is that if I trusted my friend, I trusted this programmer.

I was wrong.

A month went by and I didn’t see any progress.

Another couple of months went by, and still, I didn’t see any progress with the software.

What was even worse was that I didn’t receive any reports from the programmer.

We both had conversations via Skype and he told me that that the project is going to take longer than he had thought.

He kept giving my excuses of why the delivery of the software kept delaying.

It was understandable to me, but not seeing any progress or work done feels like I had wasted my time and money.

So another few months went on until I finally had enough and told him what he should’ve heard months ago. I told him I need to see something or I would need to call this project off, and his services.

With that intention, I was informed that the software was accessible but not yet completed. To me, it was only a quarter of the way, and this was after six months.

I felt insulted because he only gave me a little piece of the pie to keep me happy. You can imagine how furious and angry I was.

So, ten months had gone right now and my final decision is to let this programmer go from my team.

Yes, I’ve made my own bad and silly mistakes.

What did I learn from this experience?

• Trust is important. In this scenario there was none. What I should’ve asked for is proof of whether the person I’m hiring is competent enough to handle this project, i.e. -portfolio and projects this person has done in the past.

• Hire the right people in your team. It may not be your time or budget to hire someone, but hiring the right people in your team is important. A self-managed person would save you so much time and hassle.

• When hiring a programmer, pay for what they have actually created, in my case I paid on a monthly basis, which was a bad idea.

• I made the mistake of hiring someone directly, not through a freelance site. Freelance sites have a system which works so that both parties will get what they agreed upon. An escrow system is common in this situation. Places to outsource work: elance.com, scriptlance.com, rentacoder.com, guru.com. Personally, I’ve only tried scriptlance.com for graphics and have had good experiences.

• You pay for what you get. I paid a fairly decent amount every month to hire this programmer, but compared to a programmer who is more skilled, it was cheap.

• Communication is important. In my case, I had little or poor communication with the programmer.

All-in-all, I have lost trust in this programmer and will not hire this person anymore, but what hasn’t changed is outsourcing my business. I have learned from this lesson and, hopefully, will not make the same mistakes again.
