I'm keeping the forums open for existing members, but now closed for new registrations. I may end-up moving the forums to a different URL like http://untitledimage.com/forums_old/ to make room for any future projects that may use the Untitled Image URL.

I'm thinking about starting a new art focused community that would do away with most of the off-topic stuff.

I was thinking that it might be nice to keep the banner fresh by adding new art to it from time to time but keep the same style/layout for now.

This time I'd welcome any type/style of art and even color. I think photos might even be cool too so long as they are well composed and artistic. Please let me know if you've got any art you'd like to add.

It's now been more than a week since the last post (perhaps the longest stretch ever) and I'm wondering how or if this can be fixed. I'm not going to be keeping this board open much longer if it's going to be like this constantly. UI may not need to die, but perhaps reborn as something new... However I'm really not sure what UI should be rebooted as yet. Any thoughts?

In the interest of getting to know each other, let's all post a bit about ourselves. You can post as much or as little as you'd like.

This is the new version of this thread to clear out the cobwebs in the old thread.

Ok I'll start. (I'll fill you in on the site too) I'm the webmaster/creator/designer of The Android Workshop and Untitled Image.
I'm 24, male. (born Dec 1984) Designer / Artist / Gamer / Casual Anime fan

I was homeschooled until college, I started my first digital arts classes at a community college when I was 15 and graduated Dec 2004 at age 20. I now work as an in-house graphic designer for a small but growing company called Timber Ridge Inc.

I've been running a site ever since I was 13 or 14, starting with a little virtual world you could explore that I drew on the computer with a mouse. (Around MS paint quality stuff) I'll re-upload it some time to show everyone.

After that I started a video game news and review site TheGameBrain.net (about the time I started graphics classes, Dreamcast's prime) with all volunteer staff that I found mostly by spaming the IGN.com message boards hehe. That went on for a few years, we even had some good PR ties and were starting to get betas for previews, but the staff got busy with college and it got too much to manage.

About mid GameBrain (around the time I discovered Anime) I started "Shadow Arts" on an EZboard that later became Untitled Image around 2001 or 2002. The forums focused on anime style art and other normal "Otaku" subjects like anime and games. We soon got sick of EZboards ADs and moved to a phpBB setup on a free server, and we hopped servers a few times and transfered the database and posts. Untitled Image now resides as a PunBB board.

The Android Workshop is my personal site, and it's moved from all free hosting to my own paid domain and now free but professional hosting (I've got contacts). When the need arouse I moved Untitled Image to my Android Workshop server.

My latest mobile digital painting done with Brushes for iPhone and iPod Touch. I Exported the painting at 1920x1200 so if anyone wants to use it as a wallpaper they can. I started this one weeks ago but I've been too distracted by other things so I just now finished it.

To sum it up, its basically a random chat system.

You click connect, and boom, you're talking with some random person from somewhere in the world !

I actually enjoy it a bunch, because it's completely anonymous and random as hell. I've had a couple of good talks, but for the most part, completely random and hilarious chats.

What's impressive is that it was only released a few days ago, (The 25th of march I do believe) and already it's got a few thousand people on at any given time.

Anyway.
If you want a good laugh, or just want to be completely random with a person you've never met, and probably never will, hop to it!
