Thanks for Unyte 2.5 Beta feedback. We need more!

Unyte 2.5 is in beta for almost a month, and with your help we used this time very productively to fix bugs and to tweak the functionality, so it really hits the marks for both user experience and the performance.

We also had number of very favorable blog entries as response to our Unyte 2.5 beta announcements: Alec Saunders made some good comments in his blog;

WebDialogs Announces Upgrades to Unyte - The Fastest-growing, Most Easy-To-Use One-Click Collaboration Tool On The Internet

Billerica, Mass., Nov. 28, 2006 -- WebDialogs today announced the availability of Unyte 2.0, the latest version of the Internet's most easy-to-use collaboration tool. Unyte 2.0 provides users with more advanced features for sharing documents, making presentations and running remote applications.

Upgrades to Unyte 1.0 include: the ability to annotate shared information, a new look for its user interface, support of 800X600 screen resolution, support for non-Skype users, the ability to schedule future sessions through Unyte Events and some "under-the-hood" improvements to enable Unyte to achieve even greater performance levels.

Since its launch less than a year ago, Unyte has had more than 300,000 users, both hosts and viewers, and continues to sign up hundreds of users daily as more and more people discover that working collaboratively can add a new dimension to their online experience.

"We know users are adopting Unyte because it is simple, secure and provides the right level of Web collaboration that both business users and consumers need online," said Lou Guercia, WebDialogs president and CEO. "We believe that incumbent providers, such as WebEx and Microsoft, are vulnerable in markets outside of the power user. Compared to them, Unyte has universal accessibility-making it the collaboration tool for everyone."

Unyte can turn a chat, instant message or voice call into a collaborative session instantly. With Unyte, users can securely share documents, applications or their desktop to give a presentation, demonstrate software, negotiate a contract, view a photo, fix a PC or review their child's homework while on the road. Users simply need a Web browser to host or view a Unyte session. There are no additional software or hardware requirements other than the Unyte tool itself. There are no downloads required to view a Unyte session.

Unyte is also available as part of the Skype 3.0 beta plug-in architecture. Skype users participating in the Skype 3.0 beta program simply need to select "Unyte" from the "Do More" menu to start a sharing session.

Because of its simplicity, Unyte makes real-time Web collaboration accessible for individuals and organizations large and small. Even first-time users with no technical background can install and use the application immediately-without reading through a lengthy manual or a long list of Frequently Asked Questions (although FAQs and other assistance are available).

What's more, Unyte's pricing makes it an unbeatable choice for anyone or any organization that needs to collaborate online and in real time. Unyte is free for one-to-one viewing while Unyte Plus is very inexpensive-as little as half the cost of other collaborative services-for as many as 25 participants and advanced features.

New subscribers can take advantage of a free 30-day trial that includes both Unyte and Unyte Plus features. After 30 days, users you can choose to upgrade to Unyte Plus for a modest quarterly or annual fee, or continue to use Unyte 1:1 application viewing for free. Unyte is supported by a fully automated e-commerce system featuring PayPal and credit-card payment options.

In addition Event Central includes toll-free voice and Web conferencing services, with all the conferencing features needed to execute marketing seminars, update presentations or conduct training sessions.

Key features of Event Central include registration management; promotional e-mails; event execution and management, such as audio conferencing, "hand-raising", polling, roster controls, moderating the question-and-answer period; and post-event follow-up and e-mail.

Event Central builds on WebDialogs WebInterpoint™, the most widely deployed private label web conferencing solution, used by thousands of business professionals to communicate with their customers, clients and contacts.

"WebDialogs Event Central is the perfect web seminar complement to the company's very popular online meeting service," said Andy Nilssen, senior analyst and partner at Wainhouse Research, which tracks the conferencing and collaboration marketplace. "Event Central will compete well in the growing market for turnkey online event services by letting event managers and presenters focus on their content without having to worry about the technology."

The computers used by hosts and participants must meet only basic system requirements to join an event. Participants simply click a URL to join a session; no software downloads, special hardware requirements or other steps are necessary. If a participant or event manager should experience a problem, WebDialogs support is a quick phone call away.

Not only is Event Central easy to use, it is a fraction of the cost of similar full- featured event conferencing services. At just 20 cents per minute per participant, Event Central delivers administrative tools, web conferencing and toll-free voice conferencing in an integrated package.

Among the many possible uses of WebDialogs Event Central are new-product launches, company-wide briefings, information sessions, product demonstrations, training and press events.

 Ken Camp says:
"unyte looks like an interesting approach to voice and video collaboration, and a desktop/application sharing tool that creates a new and simple approach to starting up sessions. If you've ever run a "Live Meeting", you were probably faced with more options and features than you knew what to do with. And Cisco's Meeting place can take more effort to set up and run than time spent actually in collaboartion. These tools work well for the connoisseur of web meetings, and not especially user-friendly. unyte offers friendly tools that work with the progams many of us already use on a daily basis."

WebDialogs Completes Co-Marketing Agreement with Skype and Unyte™ Is Featured on Skype for Business Website

Billerica, Mass., March 16, 2006 WebDialogs, Inc., a leading provider of web conferencing and data collaboration solutions, today announced it had 30,000 users of Unyte™ in its first 30 days of general availability.

"We're thrilled with the success of Unyte™ and appreciate the tremendous support we have received from Skype, its ecosystem partners and the Skype community," said Lou Guercia, WebDialogs' President and CEO. "We plan to continue to deliver exciting features to this community and to prove our value proposition to a growing number of new partners and affiliates."

Launched February 15, Unyte provides seamless escalation from a Skype chat or voice call to a web conference. WebDialogs Unyte™ enables both business and consumer users to securely share documents, applications or their desktops, give presentations, demonstrate software and conduct meetings with anyone, anywhere, anytime quickly and easily with just a web browser.

Unyte 1.0 is Skype certified, which means it passed Skype's rigorous testing program that ensures products are safe, offer an excellent user experience and are seamlessly integrated with the Skype application.

In addition, last week, Skype announced that Unyte would be available as an enhanced service offering on its Skype for Business website (www.skype.biz), which helps small businesses manage communications, improve productivity and reduce costs. Skype for Business users can download Unyte for free from www.unyte.net.

WebDialogs Unyte is also expanding its reach by partnering with key Skype affiliates, such as Skylook (www.skylook.biz). "WebDialogs Unyte and Skylook both provide services that greatly enhance the Skype experience for small business users. Our services give business users the tools they need to maximize their productivity and success with Skype," said Jeremy Hague, Skylook CEO. "By affiliating with one another, we are expanding our reach and making these value added services more accessible to a wide range of Skype users."

WebDialogs Unyte offers Skype users free 1 to 1 sharing always and free 1 to 4 sharing until April 2. After April 2, 1 to 4 sharing will cost just $9.95/month and will include additional premium features.

WebDialogs plans to make Unyte available to non-Skype users through a "meet me" capability later this spring. An SDK will also be forthcoming to facilitate the integration of Unyte into third party products and services.
