And sure enough, when the 42-year-old was asked if she'd take the plunge again on The Today Show, she replied: 'I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. We'll see. I mean, I don't know.'

She then added to host Matt Lauer: 'It's not time to think about that yet. It's still fresh.'

On the appearing with her ex-husband - they announced their split in late May - Marc Anthony on their new TV show, Q'Viva! The Chosen, Lopez admitted that, given their personal circumstances, it would have been easy to walk away from the show commitment.

It's the staple colour of any wardrobe and it appeared that tonight on the red carpet stars stuck to the black is best mantra.

Angelina Jolie, Stacy Keibler, and Amber Heard Ashlee Simpson led the stars in the dark and dramatic style stepping out in sleek shiny gowns, lashing of lace and cut out creations at the Screen Actors Guild Awards this evening.

Miss Jolie arrived with her partner Brad Pitt and the 36-year-old sashayed up the carpet in her draped Grecian style gown in black lamé by Jenny Packham.

While bosses at Christian Dior are yet to appoint a replacement for disgraced designer John Galliano, it seems the slow process is doing nothing to damage the label's reputation.

Cameron Diaz and Bar Refaeli were just two of the big names to attend the show today as Couture week kicked off in Paris.

The Israeli Victoria's Secret model and the Bad Teacher actress greeted each other with affection - and looked like they had a lot to catch up on.

The pair looked like best friends as they took their place on the front row

Also on the guest list were Russian model Natalia Vodianova, reality TV star Olivia Palermo and Chanel muse Ines de la Fressange.

Cameron, 39, who attended the Versace show earlier in the day, hopped back to her hotel for a quick outfit change - swapping her leather skirt for a lady-like polka dot dress.

Diane Kruger and Salma Hayek, along with society maven and sister of the late Jackie Onassis, Lee Radziwill, made for an exclusive guest list at Giambattista Valli's couture show in Paris today.

Held at the Hotel de Crillon, the spring/summer collection was only the second couture offering from the Italian designer.

Mr Valli delivered a confident offering though, with lace flowers, layers of chiffon and rivers of light-reflecting, shimmery sequins on both ballgowns and knee-length cocktail dresses.

Celebrity guests: Lee Radziwill , the society maven and younger sister of Jackie Onassis, Salma Hayek and Diane Kruger, made up the front row at the exclusive event, which was held at the Hotel de Crillon

The designer used a palette of that was predominantly monochrome, set off by flashes of colour in shades of pinks from the softest blossom to deep fuschia and plums.

While block colours dominated, Mr Valli also made way for blurs of floral prints and everything was softened with textures, such as polka-dotted chiffon or stiffened wool.

Belted waists gave structure to billowing gowns, many of which featured over-sized ruffles and bows around the neckline.

Mr Valli's wearable cocktail dresses came with romantic overlays of seductive lace as well as clustered of embroidered silk flowers and pretty belts.

Patterns and ruffles: Mr Valli used both block colour and patterns in his gowns, which were all adorned with an element of texture, from soft, blurring prints to ruffles and bows around the neckline and belted waists

Mr Valli was only recently admitted into the elite Chambre Syndicale de la Haute Couture. Last year, he made his couture debut as a 'guest label'.

He joins an illustrious group of designers taking part in the biannual event, among them fellow Italians Valentino, Armani Prive and Atelier Versace, which returned for the first time in eight years.

The only major French labels that are scheduled to show this year are Chanel, Dior, Jean Paul Gaultier and Givenchy, although several newer design houses are taking part.

Black and white: Monochrome featured heavily in the exquisite collection - but any rigid formality was broken up with layers of organza and rivers of shimmering sequins sewn onto polka-dotted chiffon

The garments will be bought by a small and extremely selective (read, very wealthy) clientele based mainly in China, Russia, the Middle East, as well as North and South America.

The one-off, hand-crafted creations can sell for $40,000 or to over $100,000 for a wedding dress.

It never suited him, to be fair, and we all laughed along when his best friend George Clooney gently mocked Brad Pitt for his walking cane at the Golden Globes.

The 48-year-old actor can pull off many guises, it's true, sinewy column of fury in Fight Club, psycho in Kalifornia, suave conman in the Oceans films and latterly, baseball genius in Moneyball.

But in none of these beloved films has he ever hobbled, so his equally dashing friend was right to call him out, although Brad's stick was no affectation but rather support for a knee injury, as they faced each other in the same Globes category (which George won).

As for Angelina, 36 , she was never going to reach the dizzy heights of that perfect Versace number from Globes night, and proving just how stylish she is, the actress didn't even try.

In fact, Angelina opted for an almost diametrically opposed look, that was quite conservative in nature.

Her hair was worn loose and bouncy which seemed to channel the suggestion of 80s' in conjunction with her black cut-out dress, which featured retro floral lace panels.

She even neutralised those wonderful lips with a pale shade, after slicking crimson across them to match the red accent in her stunning column dress at the awards show.

But Angelina still oozed star quality in this ensemble, proving she has the mercurial props to inhabit any look with trademark verve.

Her father Jon Voight claims he has something of a sixth sense that the Jolie-Pitt children will become stars just like their parents.

The 73-year-old says he has 'a feeling' the brood will grow up to follow in the footsteps of mum Angelina Jolie and dad Brad Pitt and become actors.

After the year she's had, it's unsurprising that Kim Kardashian's taken to wearing a talisman to protect herself from ill will.

The 31-year-old has become less popular than a dose of flu on Christmas Day during the last 12 months, with her 72 day marriage to Kris Humphries marking the apogee of hatred towards the petite brunette.

So today, as she undertook the arduous chore of shopping for another Chanel purse in LA - something that her critics might roll their eyes in disgust over - she wore a head piece featuring the symbol of an evil eye.

In most cultures, someone with an evil causes harm to another, or is perhaps jealous of another's good luck - something Kim perhaps feels is at the root of her unpopularity.

A way to ward off its nefarious influence is by wearing a likeness of the eye as a talisman, which is what Kim is doing.

However, it's likely that the reality star is making a fashion statement rather than buying into the cultural significance of the symbol.

And if the evil eye talisman failed to offer Kim enough protection, the heavy security presence was bound to keep her safe.

The stunning model, 24, walked the runway during the Sao Paulo Fashion Week in Brazil on Thursday, strutting her stuff in a variety of outfits for the Animale Show.

Rosie flashed her cleavage in a low-cut sheer white camisole with satin detailing and matching trousers as she proved exactly how she has made a name for herself as one of the world's most foremost fashion models.

Stars stepped out tonight to celebrate the Daily Mail's Inspirational Women Of The Year Awards at the Marriott Hotel in Grosvenor Square.

And there was no doubt that one in particular stole the spotlight.

Model, television presenter and charity campaigner Katie Piper looked beautiful in a form-fitting bodycon Celeb Boutique dress.

Katie has shown herself to be an astonishing example of resilience, after suffering a brutal attack in 2008 which initially left her scarred beyond recognition.

'Seeing myself in the mirror for the first time, with my nose and eyelids burned away, my chest and neck melted like candle wax, was the hardest to accept.'

With the support of family and friends Katie has gradually come to terms with what happened, as she added: 'I have learned to love my face again, something I once thought impossible.'

Katie delivered Channel 4's 2011 alternative Christmas message, saying: 'Look around the room and cherish every one of your family members.

‘It’s been an honour to celebrate the achievements of these inspirational women here in Downing Street,’ said Mrs Cameron.

Gone is the straggly hair that her character usually wears in the TV series that stars William H Macy.

The doe-eyed actress tells the US fitness magazine: 'I had so much fun in these clothes - they're feminine with an edge.

After plenty of speculation, Carrie Bradshaw is now set to return to the small screen.

America's CW network has ordered a pilot for The Carrie Diaries based on the Sex and the City prequel book series by Candace Bushnell.

It follows a young Carrie's time as a Connecticut high school student before she makes the move the Big Apple.

Samantha Jones, who is played by Kim Cattrall in the hit series and films, is also expected to feature as she does in the novel.

However, Charlotte York and Miranda Hobbes (played by Kristen Davis and Cynthia Nixon) are likely not to have parts in the series as they do not appear in the book.

Rumours have been rife that the programme would land on screens and reports in September claimed HBO and The CW were working together on the project.

Gossip Girl producers Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage are said to have signed onto the show.

Blake Lively, 24, - who plays Serena van der Woodsen on Gossip Girl – was previously the forefront of the list of fresh faces to take on the coveted role.

Other actresses itching for the role include Miley Cyrus, who had a cameo role as herself in the sequel to the film.

The 19-year-old who shows up to a premiere in the same dress as Jones in Sex and the City 2 told Acesss: ‘I would love it. I’m not attached, so I don’t want to say that, but that would be very cool.’

Emma Roberts, 20, and Hugo star Chloe Moretz, 14, could also be in with a chance to star in the episode.

Olivia Wilde told InStyle: ‘I could see Emma Roberts as Samantha. I think she'd be interesting. I don't know any of the young people, though. I've got to get to know the younger crew.’

Meanwhile, Australian screen star Melissa George told them: ‘Chloe Moretz would be great as Samantha. She played my daughter in The Amityville Horror when she was 6 years old. She's a beautiful little thing.’

News of the show comes as the network has ordered two other pilots, which are Beauty and the Beast, as well as Arrow, a present-day take on the DC Comics archer Green Arrow.

It will be written and executive-produced by Eli Stone‘s Greg Berlanti and Marc Guggenheim, plus The Vampire Diaries‘ Andrew Kreisberg according to TV Line.

One perk to being in a girl group is no longer having to style you own hair - and Jesy Nelson is clearly taking advantage of that.

The 20-year-old Little Mix singer stepped out for a public appearance last night showing off a much bigger hairdo.

As she arrived at the Hilton hotel in London's Park Lane, her volumised curls were hard to miss as she posed with bandmates Perrie Edwards, Leigh-Anne Pinnock and Jade Thirlwall.

The X Factor winners are well-known for their quirky style and were lucky enough to enjoy the use of a stylist on the ITV1 reality show, but now Jesy has taken her look to new heights.

She teamed them with a printed vest, a patterned waistcoat and heeled Dr. Martens and was also showcasing a slimmer figure.

As well as developing her new hairstyle, it is unknown if Jesy plans to slim down even more after The Sun reported that she had been 'living in the gym' for last month.

Spot a dress on the fashion week runways and wear it to the Oscars just weeks later? If you're a size two and a Hollywood celebrity, that luxury is a distinct possibility.

For actresses, models and wannabes - or whomever is lucky enough to land an invitation to the hottest Hollywood event of the year - the chances of snagging a designer gown by one of the biggest names in fashion are seriously raised by being a sample size.

It's all down to a question of red carpet fashion hierarchy. The hottest A-list names will wear dresses that have been specially designed over many weeks, says the Hollywood Reporter, costing designers thousands of dollars.

It's worth it, if the star in question is stratospheric, says MHA's Marilyn Heston, who specialises in linking celebrities with designers. She told the newspaper that custom gowns 'generally' go 'to nominees and presenters for the Globes and the Oscars' only.

'This is not an artistic endeavor. The only reason a global designer is dressing an actress is to gain exposure that will raise awareness and increase sales', she said.

But not every famous figure is lucky enough to be at the top of the pyramid.

For those stars who are not quite bright enough to merit a custom gown (or are indecisive and need to keep options open), it helps to be a size two, ready to fit into designs that are literally straight off next month's catwalks.

Zoe Saldana wore a fabulously frothy purple Givenchy haute couture gown to the 2010 Oscars - it had debuted just days before at the design house's Fashion Week show.

And, of course, though risky - there is often only one sample and having it out of action can be problematic, says the newspaper - dressing the perkiest bodies of the almost most sought-after stars can come with massive economic bonuses.

The habit of wearing dresses plucked from runways extends to other events too, though the turnaround is far less speedy - Emma Watson wore a stunning grey Oscar de la Renta gown from the previous February's autumn/winter 2011 New York Fashion Week show to the final Harry Potter premiere last July.

But, megastar or not, what happens when your bottom isn't miniscule and, well, squeezing into a size two is never going to be a reality, come awards season?

Some of the hardest working names in fashion aren't the couture labels and runway kings, but the tailors who labour over gowns for real, normal-sized women.

Bearing in mind that even tiny actress Carey Mulligan could not wriggle into a sample size for a Vogue cover in October 2010 - 'the cover dress was very pretty but wouldn't go over my a***' she said - most Oscar invitees are anything but a size two.

Happily for them, there is David Meister, who has devoted fans in Sharon Stone and Andie MacDowel. He told the Reporter that while 'it’s easy to design for a size two... it's more fun to dress sizes two-22.

'It’s all about problem-solving. Finding the elements you’re working with, figuring out which ones you need to hide and which ones you want to emphasize.'

An It Girl and an orange Spandex blob of writhing humanity capped Rio de Janeiro's five-day-long fashion week Saturday, lending a gimmicky end to the city's otherwise strong winter 2012 collections.

In a bid to create the kind of buzz its clothes themselves can't, streetwear label Auslander regularly invites celebrities to walk in its shows.

But this season's special guest, British It Girl Daisy Lowe, left the crowd cold.

Though Miss Lowe gave it a good try, throwing her hips dramatically as she sauntered down the catwalk in what amounted to a one-piece swimsuit, the audience didn't seem to know or care who she was.

By contrast, the arrival of a Brazilian actress caused a near riot earlier.

Miss Lowe's catwalk co-star, androgynous male model Andrej Pejic, was better recognised by the front row, thanks to his international reputation for walking both men's and womenswear shows.

Without the kind of collective euphoria a good celebrity sighting can generate, the show fell flat.

Many of the men's and women's pieces were the kind of casual urban fares you see on practically every sidewalk, and the ponchos, shawls, skirts and dresses made from mohair blankets looked nothing short of infernal, considering the 100 degree weather outside.

If you want people to concentrate on the clothes, the ideal fashion show backdrop is probably not a giant parachute in orange Spandex with a dozen people squirming, thrashing and wiggling underneath it.

But for experimental Rio-based label Oestudio, the clothes are clearly beside the point. It's all about putting on a unique show - and the writhing blob was ideally suited for the task.

The clothes included sweatshirts like cocoons, without any sleeves, cropped pants with one extra-wide palazzo leg and the other a narrow cigarette, and button-down shirts cinched at the waist with an extra pair of sleeves. (Perhaps those shorn from the sweatshirts?)

Hot stuff? Many of Auslander's designs were the kind of thing you see on practically every sidewalk, and the ponchos, shawls, skirts and dresses looked nothing short of infernal, considering the sweltering Rio heat

The models - a refreshingly ethnically mixed cast that appeared to include nonprofessionals - swerved as they took to the catwalk to avoid being hit by the random fist, shoulder, knee or face that would sporadically poke out of the Spandex.

In comparison with the Oestudio show, everything else seemed a bit anticlimactic.

But at Andrea Marques, it was definitely the good kind of anticlimactic.

The designer looked to the bourgeois styles of the 1970s, serving up the pleated A-line skirts and tie-front blouses in the lightest chiffon.

Maxi-dresses with long sleeves and high collars didn't show an inch of skin, but the snake skin printed silk was suggestively see-through.

Transparency is not an easy look for most women, but slap a lining onto Marques' dresses and feather-light shirts and you'd have yourself a fetching and wearable collection.

Giulia Borges' short, layered looks in black and white lace, tulle and chiffon were at once edgy and whisper-light.

Despite looking like they'd weigh in at mere ounces, the short lace cocktail dresses - some worn with satin tuxedo jackets fitted with peplums and trailing tails - had a street-savvy toughness about them.

Like gangster molls who just might be concealing a razor blade in their elegant French twist hairdo, Borges' lovely ladies were not to be messed with.

The narrative at Nica Kessler was less clear-cut. With maxi-dresses that had a vaguely '70s vibe mixed in with sweater dresses that felt like '80s power dressing, Kessler's collection was all over the place.

Even the models looked a bit lost.

They struggled to negotiate three mirrored podiums set awkwardly in the middle of the catwalk, and there were a few near-collisions.

But then again it might have been the models' hair that was to blame: long strands were combed down over their faces, giving them a vaguely Cousin It-ish look.

She has been spotted over the past few days puffing on a suspicious looking cigarette during her Hawaiian holiday.

And yesterday Rihanna appeared to clear up exactly what she has been smoking by quoting some lyrics from rapper Drake's song Up All Night on her Twitter page.

She wrote: 'Kush rolled, glass full... I prefer the better things!' Kush refers to a type of cannabis found mainly in Afghanistan, Pakistan and India.

In 2008, a ballot was passed in Hawaii which made possession of marijuana the lowest priority for law enforcement.

This means that under this county code, adults over the age of 21 are allowed to possess up to 24 plants or 24 ounces of marijuana on private property.

In public, the possession of less than one ounce of marijuana is classed as a misdemeanour offence, which can be punished by a fine of up to $1,000 and 30 days in jail.
