After wrapping up the LOUD Tour, Rihanna flew to Barbados to celebrate Christmas with her family and get some well deserved rest.
On Tuesday (December 27), a lucky fan got the chance to take a photo with her. Rumour has it that she will stay in Barbados for New Year’s Eve.

Is it just us, or are we getting mixed messages from Rihanna these days? One minute, the Turtleneck & Chain contributor is cracking whips and topping charts with fellow dominatrix Britney Spears on “S&M,” and the next, she’s all lonesome and weepy in her “California King Bed.” The cover art for Rihanna’s latest Loud single gives us another taste of the softer side of David O. Russell’s muse, and not much more than that. Check out the full-sized version after the jump.
This “California King Bed” art is similar to the original “S&M” single sleeve, which feels more appropriate here than it did for that track. Still, we find this one pretty snoozy — even Rihanna looks like she might be stifling a yawn. If only we had our own California king bed handy, because this just makes us want to take a nice long nap.

Rihanna changes her radiant red hair often, thanks to her superstar hairstylist Ursula Stephen. So far, Stephen twisted Rihanna’s locks into corkscrew curls, a russet bob, straight and striking strands, and on Sunday, she returned the pop star to her tightly-cropped pixie for her Academy of Country Music Awards performance.

“We haven’t done a bob in a while, but the idea to go short was Rihanna’s,” Stephen told InStyle. “She texted me a couple days prior to the ACM Awards and said she wanted to do something short. She missed her face, and I did too!” As for her hair attitude? “We’re not committed to anything but having fun!”

As the country music industry ramps up for the Academy of Country Music Awards on Sunday, April 3rd, RyanSeacrest.com can exclusively reveal that Rihanna will perform a new song on the show with Sugarland frontwoman Jennifer Nettles.
The song, “California King Bed” is from Rihanna’s fifth studio album Loud which has gone platinum in the U.S. and climbed to the top of the charts in countries around the world.

Other performers at the 46th annual ACMs include Jason Aldean, Toby Keith, Miranda Lambert, Brad Paisley, Taylor Swift and Keith Urban, Alabama, Dierks Bentley, Ronnie Dunn, Sara Evans, Martina McBride, Reba, Blake Shelton, Carrie Underwood and Zac Brown Band with James Taylor.

A spokesperson for the U.S. Fund for UNICEF clarified the reports for Hollyscoop. They're not asking restaurants to charge $1 for tap water, rather they're encouraging patrons to donate $1 on their bill for UNICEF Tap Project.

More than 1,000 restaurants nationwide have joined the UNICEF Tap Project in an effort to raise funds to combat the world water crisis. Throughout World Water Week (March 20-26) restaurants are offering patrons a chance to get involved by allowing them to donate $1 to UNICEF Tap Project on their check. The donation is entirely optional. With a $1 dollar donation, UNICEF can provide clean, safe drinking water to a child for 40 days.
ORIGINAL STORY:

You know when you go to a restaurant and instead of ordering a $5 soda, you decide to just go with a glass of water? Well if Rihanna and Taylor Swift have their way, you're going to start paying for that glass of tap water soon too.

They've added their name to Unicef's Tap Project, which urges restaurants to start charging at least $1 for tap water.

In one of the advertising posters, Rihanna poses next to a bottle of her personalized drink with the words, "Rihanna Tap Water. Not your typical tap water, unless of course, you live next door to Rihanna."

A message on the Unicef Celebrity Tap website reads, "Celebrities have donated their own tap water to help raise awareness of the world water crisis. Donations enter individuals in our sweepstakes to win an esteemed collection of these famous tap waters."

I'm all for Unicef raising funds for a good cause, but come on, this is just too much. These celebs make a zillion dollars a year so they have the luxury to pay for water, not everyone does!

Rihanna is lending her star power to raise awareness for the global water crisis. The red-haired singer has partnered with UNICEF for its Tap Project, educating and engaging consumers about the lack of access to safe, clean drinking water for nearly 900 million people worldwide.

Other celebrities appearing in the public service campaign include Selena Gomez, Taylor Swift, Adrian Grenier, Dwight Howard, and Robin Williams. Each star will bottle tap water from their homes for a sweepstakes where entrants can win a limited edition “Celebrity Tap Pack,” a custom-designed case that includes the special celebrity bottles and helps to raise money for UNICEF’s sanitation and clean water programs.
The goal of the UNICEF Tap Project is to create awareness for the water deficit and encourage the public to take action to reduce the number of children dying daily from waterborne illnesses, the second-highest cause of preventable childhood deaths in the world.

Island Def Jam CEO L.A. Reid steps down

Antonio “L.A.” Reid will leave his job as chairman of Island Def Jam to become a judge on Simon Cowell’s upcoming show “The X Factor,” a source familiar with Cowell’s offer confirmed to Billboard Wednesday.
Island Def Jam will continue to be run by Steve Bartels. Barry Weiss, the former Sony Music executive joining Universal Music Group this month, is expected to add oversight of Island Def Jam to his duties.
In his frewell letter Reid wrote: “I am extremely proud of our beautiful roster and all we have accomplished in my seven years with IDJ. We continue to have incredible success together with today’s most phenomenal superstars – Rihanna, Justin Bieber, Mariah Carey, Kanye West, Bon Jovi, Jennifer Lopez, Ne-Yo, Rick Ross, The Killers, The Dream, Chrisette Michele, Jeezy and Ludacris to name a few.”
L.A. Reid had a great influence on Rihanna’s music. It is yet unknown how and if it will affect her career anyway. He was recently quoted by Vogue magazine saying about Rihanna: “She became a star before she became an adult. Her nature is to protect herself.”

Barbadian beauty Rihanna turns 23 twodays ago. Celebrities Zone is wishing her all the best and even more success with her new songs.

She has undergone quite a style transformation since her debut, going from long-haired island girl to cutting edge pop superstar. Now she is all grown up!

Rihanna looked as pretty as a flower when she made an appearance at a Macy’s store in Lakewood, California to celebrate the launch of her first fragrance, Reb’l Fleur.

Rihanna, sported a gray cropped cardigan and teeny-tiny silver skirt. During the launch photo-op, Rihanna danced a little for the crowd of photographers and fans before spraying some of the perfume on her neck and on the paparazzi.

TIME Magazine posted list of “best and worst of the 2011 Grammy Awards”. Rihanna’s performances got the highest mark “A” naming one of the best performances of the night. Here’s what they said:

Rihanna rarely sings alone. She’s almost always accompanied by another singer, drowned out by synthesizers or Auto-Tuned by an overzealous producer. But tonight, at least briefly, it’s just Rihanna and the microphone. Then Eminem appears and does the unthinkable: he makes the performance even better. Rihanna is following in the high-heeled footsteps of many singers and has become the latest celebrity to jump on the fragrance bandwagon.

She is releasing Reb’l Fleur later this month – a fragrance that is said to be ‘daring, sexy and truly memorable’.

Rumours have it that eau de toilette is ‘as much in tune with Barbados-born Rihanna’s roots as it is with the glamour of her present life in New York City.’

The advert however sees the Disturbia star running round a mirrored maze in an enchanted garden in a tiny strapless peach cocktail dress with a train and feather bustle, together with a pillbox hat and veil.

She appears writhing in a flower made of matching peach marabou feathers, before looking perturbed yet sexy as she darts about to the swelling strains of dramatic piano music trying to find her way round.

Rihanna arrives at her hotel just ahead of attending X Factor.
Making the most of her time overseas, Rihanna was spotted leaving her Central London hotel earlier today.
The “Take a Bow” songstress looked lovely in a grey tweed jacket, black top, and funky white skirt as she strolled past the paparazzi en route to her destination.

Ri-Ri explained, “Drake is such a cool guy. He is one of my great friends. We actually just did a song together. It’s going to be on my album. The second song we did another version with him. We may even shoot a video for it. I went out with him, Trey [Songz] and J. Cole recently. We had a lot of fun.”
