More Pub updates

A few changes to the Canal Pub Guide. This includes a change to the design of the individual pub pages. The pubs now have links to their Beer in the Evening pages and have google maps showing their locations. I will add a link to the blogs about these pubs at some point too.

Two new pubs have been added:

Although the Commercial Inn is closed I have left it on the site and updated the photo in the hope it will reopen soon.

Pub Guide Update

I have changed the scores on the canal pubs to be out of 10 rather than 5. Existing scores were just doubled. Sometime soon some new pubs will be added and details and photos of existing pubs will be updated.

I am adding some new pages aimed at visitors to Liverpool. They will offer some advice on where to go and what to do in Liverpool and the surrounding area.

A pub guide for the thirsty visitor, just a small selection of Liverpool's pubs but a good choice I hope. Fine the pub guide here

Two New Pubs on Canal Pub Guide

I added two more pubs to towpath treks' canal pub guide for the Leeds & Liverpool Canal. One is new to me and the other is back on the site after its refurbishment.

The first is the Cooksons Bridge in Liverpool:

I have never been inside it, so hopefully I will get some reviews soon.

The second is the Windmill Hotel, re-listed on the guide following its refurbishment. Its in Parbold and looks like it will be a popular place for eating and drinking.

All reviews and comments are welcome, you can vote for the food, drink and pub overall.

Any suggestions for more pubs would be appreciated.

More pubs will follow as I re-walk Liverpool to Leeds.

The pub comments will now have the date the comment was submitted. Unfortunately due to my kack-handed-ness I have over written the current database containing the comments with an old one. So some more recent comments have been lost. Sorry!

Adding the date to the comment should make it more useful.

By mistake I have relaunched www.towpathtreks.co.uk, rather than abort the launch I have decided I may as well leave it on there. There will be a bit of confusion between the old and new sites and some of the new site isnt ready yet but its not far off.

The new site is coming along albeit a bit slower than I thought. I have re-done all the thumbnail photos, and I am re-doing the database which holds the photos title and description. There are almost 2000 photographs so its taking a while.
I might publish the Leeds Liverpool Canal pages as soon as they are done and roll out the rest as and when.
