Razzmatazz as finale to the 2007 UPLB Fair

Razzmatazz, the free concert from the Kapatirang Plebeians UPLB Curia rocked the final night of the 2007 UPLB fair this year. Bands like Sargostix, Firebottle, Kinetic Daze, Ephrot Act and Lucida made the audience dance and shout with their tunes.

The Kapatiran also bagged the 10,000Php prize from the office of the university chancellor for winning the best booth during the fair.

Razzmatazz 2007

The Kapatirang Plebeians UPLB Curia will be having a free concert: RAZZMATAZZ 2007 on February 16, 2007, Friday, at the UPLB Freedom Park grounds.
This event is in cooperation with the University Student Council of UPLB in line with the celebration of the anuual UPLB Febfair.
The Kapatiran hosts a free one and a half hour of music jam for the audience.

Bands like firebottle, zargostix, checkpoint, pwapsi, and ephrot act will perform on the event.

International Artist Jun Yee welcomes UPLB Christmas with Art

Brod Jun Yeee was the mind behind the Belen located at the UPLB carabao park, near the campus entrance. The traditional Belen was made out of pieces of branches and twigs from the trees devastated by typhoon Milenyo.

The Kapatirang Plebeians sponsored the recently concluded stage play, ICEBAG 7: no to piracy, yes to palmistry held last December 5, 6 and 7 at the new CAS Auditorium in UPLB.

The play, which was a great concoction of comedy and drama, delves deeper on the various lives of the characters influenced by the lines of fate in their palms.

Brod Irvin Rivera, 04A, performed the role of one of the characters in the play on the last night of the play.

2006 Grand Tribunal

After 24 years, the Kapatirang Plebeians convened in in the Grand Tribunal Assembly last December 1-2 2006 at the Country Hotel and Convention Center in General Santos city. The Assembly was attended by tribunes and resident members from various curiae of the Kapatiran.

The Assembly was also attended by Brod General Edgardo Aglipay, Brod Edsel Custodio (Department of Foreign Affairs undersecretary), Brod Abubakar "Yams" Kinjiyo and Brod Godi Ferrer (former Mayor in one of Bataan's municipalities).

The UPLB Curiae extends its congratulations to Brod Abdulmari Imao, of UP Diliman Curiae Batch '56 was proclaimed National Artist for Sculpture by the Malacañang.

Other awarded National Artists were: Bienvenido Lumbera for Literature, Ramon Obusan for Dance, Benedicto Cabrera for Visual Arts and Ildefonso Santos Jr. for Architecture.

Kapatirang Plebeians Condemns Hazing

The Kapatiran express its deepest feeling of remorse to the incident that happened last week on Marlon "Along" Villanueva, a UPLB Batch 2004 Agricultural Economics Student, who died on a hazing activity of a certain fraternity.

We at the Kapatiran firmly believes that there are nu,merous ways of testing the loyalty and capabilities of the supposed-to-be members.

We strongly condemn hazing.

Starting the sem with a stretch

Last saturday, the 26th of November 2005, members of the Kapatiran were soaked with sweat as they stretched their way towards the goal of winning the numerous activities for the organization's sports fest.

The activities were held on the Freedom Park Grounds and started at about 7 am.
The activity was spearheaded by Von Piamonte, the Fratris Head.
The recreational activity aims to promote camaraderie and team spirit among the members of the organization.
