Hintonburg has historically stood out as a working class neighbourhood, as one can see from the housing in this picture. The decline of the neighbourhood made it more affordable for those of an artistic bent, who are beginning to leave their own mark on the neighbourhood. Hintonburg is now designated as the Arts District of Ottawa.
