Himmatwala - Ajay Devgan Upcoming Movie Launches On Good Friday 2013

Filmmaker Sajid Khan’s Himmatwala, featuring Ajay Devgn and Southern actor Tamannaah, will hit the silver screens March 29, 2013 , on the occasion of Good Friday. It falls two days after the festival of Holi. Produced by UTV Motion Pictures and Vashu Bhagnani, Himmatwala is the official remake of 1983 blockbuster of the same name, which had Jeetendra and Sridevi in lead roles. That itself was a remake of 1981 Telugu film Ooriki Monagadu.

Vijay Kumar wins a silver medal in men's 25m rapid fire
pistol event in London Olympics.
Earlier in the afternoon, Joydeep Karmakar narrowly missed out on a bronze medal in the 50m rifle prone event after setting an Olympic record in the qualifying stage while Vijay Kumar qualified for the final of the men's 25m Rapid Fire Pistol event at the London Games here today.
In an event where 10m air rifle bronze-medallist Gagan Narang failed to qualify for the finals, Karmakar put his best foot forward to finish fourth with a tally of 699.1, which was 1.9 adrift of bronze medal winner's score of 701.0.

Student of the Year is an upcoming Indian comedy film directed by Karan Johar, starring new comers Varun Dhawan, Siddharth Malhotra and Alia Bhatt in the lead roles. The film is produced by Karan Johar and Shahrukh Khan under the banner of Dharma Productions and Red Chillies Entertainment. The film is to be released on 19 October 2012

On 16 August 2011, director Karan Johar took the Mahurat shot, famous Mumbai socialite Parmeshwar Godrej rolled the cameras. Parts of the movie are being shot in Dehradun(Kasiga School,Purukul), Shimla, Kashmir, and Thailand.Kasiga school name was changed to saint teresa in the movie. On 4 June Varun dhawan suffered an injury while filming and was rushed to hospital but within a weeks time he resumed shooting with a fractured forehead. The film is expected to be released on October 19, 2012.

Busy with setting groundwork in place and happy that this is one film for which the wheels have started moving, writer-director Anil Sharma is euphoric to be back in action and calling the shots all over again with Sunny Deol starrer 'Singh Sahib the Great'.

"Whenever I start a new film, I get this really amazing feeling.

My enthusiasm is really high and I feel like I am starting my first ever film.

Reason being that Bollywood is such an industry that when one of your films ends, you don't know when your next would begin.

There is always this fear factor attached that agla mauka milega ki nahi.

After all pass hone ki koyi guarantee nahi hoti hai. Every film is a new exam and I am treating 'Singh Sahib the Great' as one as well."

Neck deep down into the pre-production of the film, Sharma would be shooting a film almost three years after Salman Khan starrer 'Veer'.

"After working on the film's script for close to two years, by the grace of God things have materialised well.

For me this is quite some euphoria since there is new excitement attached to the film. It is like a toy has been put into a kid's hands. Ateet peeche rakhke aage badh raha hoon.

Ab woh cinema banana hai jo logon ki pasand ka ho", signs off Sharma with hope in his voice.

The film goes on floors in the month of November. Meanwhile the wait is on for the name of the leading lady to be announced soon.
