Hello friends! Welcome to the new week. I know I'm not among the first but I've just discovered Instagram and I love it. It's so easy to make some snapshots on my iPhone and show it to the world via Facebook, Twitter or other social media. Today I made some shots in my own neighbourhood. You know it's pretty cold and snowy here in Holland but the sun is shining as well so it's a beautiful scenery out there. Maybe I even go for some ice skating this weekend. Who knows! And how is the weather in your country? Do you enjoy the winter time?

Hello friends! How are you? How is your weekend? It's pretty cold here in Holland but the sun is shining. A perfect winter day I must admit! Today I had lunch in a wonderful place here in the city of Rotterdam and now just before we will have diner I'd love to treat you with some new Swedish inspiration. People ask me a lot where I find all the inspiration for Urban Style Vibes* blog. My answer to that question is: Inspiration is everywhere. The only thing you need is an open mind. Sometimes when I'm tired or feeling down it's difficult to find inspiration but most of the days there is so much to find on the street, in magazines at home or on the internet via websites, Pinterest or other blogs. I love to read a lot so it's not that difficult for me to come across good and new stuff. Today I was 'hunting' for houses for sale in Sweden and if I do that I usually check the wonderful Skeppsholmen website. This real estate agent has a lot of gorgeous homes for sale in Sweden. Don't get me wrong: I'm not planning to leave the country but it's always a treat to look into some beautiful homes abroad. Don't you think? This apartment is located in the city of Stockholm. I love the use of color combined with the white walls and wooden floors. It inspires me as well to do more with color in my own home. What do you think about this place?

Last Monday I visited the Belgium city Ghent for business. It's always a treat to be there and I was lucky to see the Ghent light festival 2012. Amazing how they illuminate the old buildings across the city. Light is art. That's for sure!

Hello friends, I'm back home and almost ready to give you an update on my trip to Barcelona. I can already reveal that the weather was amazing. Sunshine and about 19 celcius. I'm usually blogging about home and lifestyle but today I'd love to make an exception to that rule and share my new healthy addiction with you: GREEN SMOOTHIES You might think that this looks great but tastes awful but that is not true. This is such a healthy treat in the morning. This green smoothie is made from Orange Juice, 1 Banana, 50gram baby spinache and a bit of coconut oil and coconut water. It's a wonderful treat to start your day.

'Nu' means 'now' in Dutch but I'm not sure if that is what it's meant to be;-) Anyway I love this clean and comfortable place with lovely industrial details and a fresh and contemporary look.

Todays inspiration comes from a warm winter home in Masachusets. This house with a view was designed by Cambridge based studio Maryann Thompson Architects. It is located in Great Barrington in Berkshire County. I love the simplicity and the use of natural wood. And look about the neighbourhoud. Isn't that what we all want in winter time? PS. In Holland it's raining cats and dogs these days...

Hello friends, are you already back to normal life after the festive 'season'? I've already started 2012 again and I have so much to share with you. Today I'd love to take you to a lovely Unesco heritage village in Brasil: Paraty. It's a lovely place to visit. I went there a few years ago and want to go back as soon as possible. Today I'm daydreaming about this lovely place from architect Marcio Kogan. This house made out of concrete is a true blast! The residents arrive by boat. After stepping out onto the sand a metalic bridge positioned over a crystal-lined reflecting pool leas to a set of stairs connecting to the lower floor.

I must admit I forgot to share one important thing before X-Mas with you. I know I told you before that I've been busy traveling, working etc. but this is something you still need to know. I'm sure you heard about the lovely Heart Home Magazine and now they've launched their second issue. It's full with winter inspiration and Daniel, one of the editors told me that already 60.000!!! have read the second issue.
