I could write a long story and thank UrbanLife for days, but the ones I really have to thank are people like you who help make all of this possible. Thank you for showing me the true meaning of happiness, but most importantly thank you for making my life full again.
As a teenager you don’t really ask yourself any questions like, “Who am I?” “How do others see me?” and “What kind of future do I want?” That was me when I first started coming to UrbanLife. I had no intension to really get close to God. To be honest, I really didn’t know who he was; it was as if I was stuck in a world that offered me more choices than direction.
Being a part of UrbanLife has really changed that over the years. I get to experience trips that let me know that there’s so much more to life than City Heights. There are so many opportunities out there waiting for me! Thanks to UrbanLife, I know what I want in life and it’s easier having God there to support me, every step of the way. I’m looking forward to see how God will work in other teenager’s lives through UrbanLife the same way it’s changed me.

Growing up I believe in God but I never knew anything about him. I was raised in a Catholic family but we were never the type of family that would go to church every Sunday. I’ve always known that God is everywhere and we needed to follow the Ten Commandments. Those are the only things I knew. One of the things that would always make me feel bad was that whenever I did something bad I would feel that God cares less about me. All of this changed when I got involved with SunHouse, now called UrbanLife.

Being part of UrbanLife has being a blessing. I’ve been with them since the beginning, and to see where we were to how far we come is amazing! I feel very privileged to be part of the journey. Urbanlife has transformed my life. I now know God truly. I have opened up to people that I never thought I would. Now I am at a place where I am letting God take charge of my life. I have to admit is hard at times by at the end I know that he has something better in store for me. One of the things I try to live by now is: loving people and serving them.
