The Moxley's are one of my favorite families. I have known these girls since they were elementary school age and it has been so fun to see them grow up into beautiful young women. We met up on a lovely spring morning to take some photos for their mom for Mother's Day. Gail is one lucky momma!

We recently met up with Jaron and Monica in Downtown Auburn to capture some photos to mark their five year anniversary. Being able to take pictures of the two love birds down some of the same streets they walk in their everyday life provided the perfect backdrop to commemorate their five years of marriage together. We took family photos of the Urke side of our family this Christmas while all the kids and grandkids were in town. It can be a bit tricky to get a group of eleven people, including children, to all look at the camera at the same time and smile let alone have the photographers be in the photo as well! Let's just say we are getting pretty savvy with our remote control! We are quite proud of these beautiful photos for Grandma and Grandpa to cherish for years to come! We recently got together with the Knight family (all nineteen of them!) at their annual Christmas family gathering. The house was full with family, the fire place was crackling, and dinner filled the home with the aroma of a soon to be shared family dinner. It was the epitome of this holiday season and we were so glad to be able to capture this special moment in time.

Avery is turning one and we had the lovely privilege of hanging with this cutie pie to take her first birthday photos. Our sweet nephew turned two this week. No longer a baby but a fun and spunky little boy. I took a few photos capturing his essence right now at this age. Throwing rocks and jumping in the water in the middle of November...he has become quite the little adventurer.

My cousin recently married the sweetest girl and we are over the moon happy for them! Not only do they bring out the best in each other but I love having another girl around at our family events!

I remember spending many days growing up tagging along with my older brother and cousin...getting into trouble and scraping my knee. I was forced to be tough hanging around with those two. Years later, I feel so blessed to watch and be a part of the blossoming love story of these two.

We met up with the two love birds for a romantic sunset session and look forward to shooting their upcoming wedding reception this weekend. Congratulations and we love you both!

We recently enjoyed a fun photo shoot with my good friend Julia and her sweet dog Tres. We had a wonderful morning sniffing rose bushes and playing fetch in the park. I like to call Julia "The Dog Whisperer" as she is so good with dogs and has a special place in her heart for Tres. Plus for a dog, he did pretty well with posing! Gotta love that slimy tongue!

Ryan and Lisa tied the knot at the beautiful Union Hill Inn in Sonora. The venue was stunning, bride and groom were glowing, and the guests helped put on a good party. John and Jennifer, dear friends of ours, recently got married at Fair Oaks Presbyterian Church, the church where they met and fell in love. It was a beautiful day in May and we could not ask for a prettier day for these two love birds. The day was filled with smiles and warm hugs from close friends and family. You could feel the love everyone had for John and Jennifer.

We were happy to share in their special day through our photography and for Ashley to stand next to Jennifer as one of her bridesmaids.

We had a beautiful fall shoot over in Old Town Sacramento last month with one of my closest and dearest friends, Jennifer and her fiance John. We enjoyed the hustle and bustle of holiday shoppers as well as finding hidden corners of quite for some sweet moments between John and Jenn. We also stopped at the restaurant, The Firehouse, where they got engaged. Here are just a few of our favorites from the day...

After I finished editing John and Jennifer's engagement photos, I browsed through the pictures in a slideshow on my computer with John Mayer playing on Pandora in the background. It was a pretty perfect moment and I got kind of emotional looking through all of these photos...seeing someone I care so much about...be so happy...and to be able to capture this moment in time for her...this moment of finding the man she is going to spend the rest of her life with and having open eyes and an open heart to the rest of their lives together.

It took me back to my own engagement and how dear to my heart our engagement photos are to me. Being able to shoot photos for John and Jennifer allowed me to experience photography in a whole new way today. I couldn't help but feel so blessed at what we do. Thank you to the couples who trust us with such an intimate moment in their life!

All this to say, congratulations John and Jennifer! We love you both and cannot wait for the wedding!

Just about a year ago we booked our first wedding, started learning how to shoot in manual {I know, so embarrassing!}, and jumped right in to our photo business. A certain someone {our nephew if you didn't notice every other post was of him} turned one last week. Naturally I had to document this momentous occasion for his mom and dad. I love that this little monkey hat is such a reflection of his personality right now...silly, butt scootin' sweet, and...fashionable. :)

I saw this idea on Pinterest...documenting favorite things and their age. This was the best shot I could get because apparently crawling with a saltine in one hand and texting in the other is also high on the interests list.

We met up with the Aquilina family for a perfectly fall photo shoot. The weather was beautiful and this adorable family soaked up a little sun along with some rock and stick collecting. You could tell this was a fun family that loved to be silly together. So sweet.
