Air National Guard

At the invitation of the Washington Air Guard, USArchive attended the recent “Business and Industry Days” in Tucson, Arizona. Hosted by the 162nd Fighter Wing of the Arizona Air National Guard, the event drew leaders from approximately 50 businesses and organizations in 9 western states and Guam. Lieutenant General Harry M. Wyatt III, the Director of the Air National Guard was in attendance and addressed the group several times.

The purpose of the conference was to acquaint employers with the function of the Air National Guard, employer support services and the value Air Guard members bring to organizations that employ them. The event included a tour of their facility and hands-on and interactive demonstrations of various missions supported by the 162nd Fighter Wing.

USArchive gained an added appreciation of the 106,000 members of the Air Guard as well as the 2,000,000 men and women serving in other branches of the military.

In support of our military members, Mick Plath, President of USArchive, is working jointly with Dr. Lynn Wilson to establish a Veterans Health IT Apprenticeship, to enable veterans to receive schooling and on-the-job training in the healthcare field.

USArchive & AtWork! sign unique for-profit/non-profit partnership

BELLEVUE - AtWork! and USArchive signed an agreement Thursday, September 9, to create a unique for-profit/nonprofit partnership, USArchive, Powered By AtWork!, which will provide document management services to government and private firms who need digitized records and document destruction.
“In signing the agreement,” Chris Brandt, AtWork! CEO, said, “We have agreed to work together with USArchive to create jobs for people with disabilities. Mick and Noreen Plath bring their sales expertise to the business, and AtWork! brings its management and operations expertise plus a talented workforce.”
Mick Plath, President of USArchive, said his company is very excited for the future of this new venture. “We saw the need and value of hiring people with disabilities while training them in today’s more technical imaging services.“
Bob Strayhan, AtWork! Board of Directors Chair, said, “Today marks a significant new chapter for AtWork! to provide increased opportunities for people with disabilities to gain important skills and jobs in the digital marketplace."
USArchive is a full-service document management company, with extensive experience serving government, nonprofit, educational and corporate clients nationwide. USArchive completes large State of Idaho imaging project

USArchive's Production staff, Claire (Production Manager), Christina (Production Supervisor) and Lisa (Production Lead) recently managed to completion a large State of Idaho imaging project. The project resulted in scanning 1,800 boxes of records, resulting in 5,000,000 images and over 40,000,000 keystrokes of data entry. Claire, Christina and Lisa managed a team of 40 people operating 24/6 for six months. This top performing production team consistantly leads by example having managed to completion over 400 local government and commercial imaging projects to date.

Ramsay elected as AIIM Northwest President

USArchive's Business Analyst, Al Ramsay was recently elected by the AIIM Northwest board as the this years new president. Al has served in many AIIM NW positions locally including president in past years. We congratulate Al for his many voluntary accomplishments including this current assignment.

USArchive executive recognized by AIIM Northwest chapter

At today’s conference of the Association for Information & Image Management (AIIM) in Bellevue WA, Alastair Ramsay was honored as the past Chapter President of AIIM Northwest from 2007-2009. He was specifically recognized for his role in winning the 2009 AIIM National Chapter of the Year Award and building a successful track record over his two year term of focused customer presentations and speaker programs.

Alastair is a Business Analyst for USArchive and specializes in content management applications and conversion strategies across the major industry verticals. During his tenure of President, he grew AIIM Northwest to over 1,600+ members across the (5) five state region (WA, ID, OR, MT, AK), as well as opened (2) two new satellite chapter locations in Portland OR and Anchorage AK, to serve the document management needs and concerns of clients in these locations.

Alastair is one of the pioneers in the document management industry and began his career in document management in 1987 and implemented some of the first content management systems in the Pacific Northwest. He has also travelled extensively and performed implementations in China, Singapore, Australia, New Zealand, and other Asia Pacific Rim countries.

AtWork! & USArchive Sign Partnership MOU

On March 5th, AtWork! and USArchive signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to create "USArchive, Powered By AtWork!." Chris Brandt, CEO of AtWork!, and Mick Plath, President and CEO of USArchive, signed the MOU, which guides the creation of a partnership to provide document management services to government and private firms who need digitized records and document destruction.

"USArchive brings the technical expertise we need to expand into this new line of business," said Brandt. "It will help us to provide job opportunities for people with disabilities well into the future."

"We have been talking about this vision for a unique partnership for a very long time," said Plath. "It is a great marriage of our technical, marketing, sales experience and AtWork!'s experience operating and managing large contracts."

Imagine University Wraps Up Recent Training Class For Five Nonprofits

Redmond, WA - Those attending Imagine University, a 3-day training session offered by USArchive and Imaging Services (USArchive), recently completed another session. In attendance were 9 people representing 5 nonprofit organizations from Virginia, Maryland, New York and Washington state. Those attending not only learned more about document management and imaging business, but they were able to establish working relationships with other nonprofits that were represented.

USArchive Moves Into The Microfilm Conversion Business

Redmond, WA – As a result of increased demand for microfilm conversion to digital images, USArchive and Imaging Services (USArchive) recently acquired the latest digital film conversion machine manufactured by Wicks and Wilson for its Redmond location. The RS325 Scanstation is capable of converting 16mm and 35mm film and capturing the images in digital form. The Scanstation is one of the fastest scanners in world, with conversion speeds of up to 325 frames per minute, at 200 dpi. The digital images can then be stored in a variety of formats, enabling instant review at any time, 24/7. “The Scanstation’s speed gives us the opportunity to serve our customers needs more quickly,” says Mick Plath, President of USArchive.
