If you’re not familiar, Sangi was Russia’s version of Andy Warhol in the late 1960s. His politically charged work, “Man Make Fish Inspection of Gorbachev Tuna,” is still hailed today as one of the most influential works of art in the downfall of Communism. Now a resident of the United States, Sangi currently works as the artist-in-resident at the American Swedish Institute in Minneapolis.

In this episode, watch as Nikolai meets up with his mentor at the Swedish Institute, shares his latest work, and receives valuable criticism.
