While few people would think of the Bible as a book of diet or health, much less beauty, Garrett shows us otherwise. She claims that ancient women had a similar desire as modern women do to be as attractive as they can. She exposes facts about the health and beauty industry that have become increasingly concerned about: that the products we slather on our skin on a daily basis are not only unregulated, but are often toxic and unsafe.

As an alternative, she offers recommendations and tips for beauty treatments that are straight out of the pages of the Bible. They are so simple that they seem almost too good to be true. For example, using one drop of honey on damp skin instead of expensive moisturizers. Interestingly, this one tip is recommended by a hot Hollywood makeup artist!

The book does a good job of using modern scientific evidence to prove the efficacy of these simple treatments. As an example, vinegar was a staple of ancient times. We now know that vinegar helps the body keep a stable blood sugar and slows the absorption of carbohydrates. Another example is flax, which featured heavily in the diets of ancient women. Flax acts as an anti-inflammatory, which has the effect of slowing aging.

The first chapter of the book helps the reader to reevaluate her current ideas around beauty by using scripture and meditation. This part of the book may not interest you if you are not religious, but it might just get you thinking about our modern cultural ideals around beauty.

Chapter Two gets to the heart of why so many women have weight issues, and what to do about it. Chapter Three points to the dangers of modern cosmetic ingredients and Chapters Four thru Seven offers you safer, natural alternatives and recipes for totally safe yet spa worthy beauty regimens. To top if off, she offers instructions on how to host a Bible Secrets of the Bible spa party. If you love to make your own beauty treatments, you will love this book.

For more natural beauty tips and resources, visit naturalmomstalkradio.com/blog/natural-mom-articles/beauty/ Be sure to grab your copy of the free ebook, Simply Beautiful: A Natural Mom's No Fluff, Non-Toxic Get Gorgeous Guide

Article Source: http://greatarticlesformoms.com

This article can be printed in it’s entirety as long the author's bio box is intact and all links are live and clickable. It is a very sad thing. I have stopped shopping at many stores because of how I was treated. I believe that customer service is one of, if not the most important ingredient to any successful business. Here are some basic tips to help you earn your customer's trust and repeated business.
- Never Argue with a Customer! No matter what, the customer is ALWAYS right.
Do what it takes to make them come back. If you go the extra mile with a disgruntled customer, they will walk away happy and share their experience with others. And, everyone knows that word of mouth is the best form of advertising.
- Always be Professional. Even if your customer or client is being unreasonable, always put YOUR best foot forward. You don't know what that person's day was like, or what their past customer service experiences have been. Treat them like family. After all, they are your bread and butter.
- Never Miss a Scheduled Appointment. Being late is a HUGE no no. Leave early to get there on time, but don't ever be late! You must always make sure that you give yourself enough time for every scenario.
- Be a Good Listener. Customers are people. And people want to be heard. Sit up straight, give a firm dry handshake, and always look them in the eye.
- Samples and Discounts. Whenever possible give your customers or clients freebies and discounts. They will appreciate it, and will likely want more!
- Show those Pearly Whites! Smile. It really does make a huge difference. Not only for your customer's sake, but for you too! You will feel better knowing you stayed cool. A smile lifts you up. Your smile is a form of communication that your customers should never live without!
- Keep in Touch. Send your customers and clients a thank you note for their orders. Send post cards and flyers telling them of up-coming specials. Or, a special just for them! Taking this extra step in customer service will make your customer feel special. And, look to you in the future.
Copyright © Lara Velez
About the Author: Lara Velez is a homeschooling Mom of two and wife to her soul mate, Rob. The music for Smile was written by Charlie Chaplin for his landmark film, Modern Times, released in 1936, although Smile's lyrics were actually added by John Turner and Geoffrey Parsons in 1954, in which year Nat King Cole had the commercial success with the Smile song. Perhaps understandably the owners of the copyright for the words and music of the Smile song, Bourne Company of New York, refused me permission to publish the full lyrics and the music, although plenty of other websites seem to have the whole thing for free if you care to look for it (strangely it seems easier to get it for free than to buy it). There is actually a second verse which talks about lighting up your face with gladness, the need to keep on trying, and that life is still worthwhile. And for the musicians among you, you could try playing around with A, Amaj7, F#m, D/F#bass, Bm, F#, Bm, Dm, A, F#m, Bm, Esus4, E, and A, which is based on an interpretation by Eric Clapton (another story of triumph over adversity..).

Smile tho' your heart is aching,

Smile even tho' it's breaking,

When there are clouds in the sky, you'll get by.

If you smile thro' your fear and sorrow,

Smile and maybe tomorrow,

You'll see the sun come shining through; for you.

Although Charlie Chaplin didn't write the lyrics to Smile, the words resonate strongly with Chaplin's inspirational life of challenge, tragedy, success, and ultimately global appreciation, which owed much to his difficult early character-forming years. The Smile lyrics, and Chaplin's life story, each provide in their own way a lesson for anyone seeking inspiration and personal fulfilment.
Chaplin was born in Walworth, South London on 16 April, 1889. His mother and father were stage performers, but were also tragic people, divorcing when Charlie was young. As a child Chaplin descended to the workhouse orphanage because his parents were unable to look after him. Throughout his life Charlie Chaplin struggled with challenges, some of his own making, while he strived and became one of the most successful achievers - in creative and financial terms - of the 20th century. At one time exiled and rejected by the USA for his political views, Chaplin was awarded the World Peace Prize in 1954, eventually welcomed back to America to receive an Academy Lifetime Achievement Award in 1972, and was knighted in 1975. Charlie Chaplin died on Christmas Day, 1977.
The words and music of Smile and Chaplin's wonderful films help to demonstrate that the power of personal belief, and a positive approach to life, can enable people to overcome all kinds of disadvantage, challenge and adversity.

MORE WRONG ANSWERS
A clog is worn on which part of the body? ............... The only single-syllable, ten-letter word we know is scraunched

which is the past tense of the verb to scraunch, meaning to make a crunching noise, for example when walking on gravel.

There are several single-syllable words with nine-letters, strangely most beginning with the letter'S':

screeched, strengths, straights, scratched stretched, scrounged, scrunched, and the less commonly-known: scraughed, scraunched, scrinched, scritched, scrooched, sprainged, spreathed, throughed and thrutched.

Words that sound exactly the same and have opposite meanings. (They are spelt differently but phonetically - they sound - the same):

Here are several examples:

Raise (build up) and Raze (destroy to the ground).
Wave (dismiss) and waive (allow).
Sent and Scent (as in 'dispatch to' and 'receive from' - purfume)

Pair and Pare (to increase by doubling-up, and to reduce by cutting or trimming away ).

Words which without changing the spelling or sound have two opposite meanings -

There are a surprising number examples of words spelled the same which have two opposite meanings.

These words are called autoantonyms, or contranyms or antagonyms.

Here are some very common autoantonym (or contranym or antagonym) words:

Outstanding (satisfactory - standard exceeded) and Outstanding (unsatisfactory - standard not met).
Oversight (check, monitor) and Oversight (neglect, forget)
Weather (endure - stand test of time or resist storm or pressure) and Weather (erode - wear down or denude).

Clip (join two or more things together as with a paper-clip) and Clip (divide something into two or more pieces, as in clip an article from the paper or clip someone's hair).
Dust (remove a layer of powdery substance) and Dust (apply a layer of powdery substance, as in dusting crops or dusting for finger-prints).
Trim (add to or embellish, as in trim the Christmas tree) and Trim (cut away something, as in trim someone's hear or a hedge).
Cleave (split apart or break) and Cleave (stick or adhere).

Ravish (to violently abuse) and Ravish (to delight)
Fast (quick) and Fast (stuck tight)
Sanction (a permission) and Sanction (a preventative penalty)
Sanguine (cheerful) and Sanguine (bloodthirsty)
Bolt (secure in place) and Bolt (run away).
Garnish (add to - embellish or decorate) Garnish (remove from - as in legally serving notice to seize money or assets).

Bound (fixed) and Bound (moving, as in travelling).
Left (gone) and Left (remaining).
Mad (angry about) and Mad (attracted to).
Livid (angry) and Livid (pallid - lacking colour and spirit).

Wind-up (start something, like a clock or an argument) and Wind-up (finish something, like proceedings or a talk).
Blow up (inflate - create - a balloon) and Blow up (destroy with explosives)

star signs

What was special about 4th May 2006, and specifically two minutes and three seconds after one o'clock in the morning?
