LONDON DREAMS. . . Should Be Broken

Last saturday, I was alone in hostel and was getting bore. That is why, I went to watch the movie LONDON DREAMS. That was the only hindi movie in town at that moment. I watched it but didnt liked it much. There were lots of errors in the movie. For me, the direction is the most important part of the movie and it was not so good in LONDON DREAMS.

LONDON DREAMS was so predictable in story. It was really easy to guess that what is going to be happen in the next scene? There were lots of things which were missing in the story of LONDON DREAMS. For example, the childhood of Ajay Devgan in England. . . . . LONDON DREAMS is about music and all of the songs were just average. I liked only the last song of the movie. All other songs were just typical Bollywood songs, not according to the level of talent which they were showing in the characters of LONDON DREAMS. And the song Khanabadosh, which they performed to get signed by the music company, was one of the worst song of the movie. If I was the owner of music label, I would kicked them out. Why the hell a record label in England needs to sign a hindi band and that also a poor one? And why the hell, people were listening them in England, France etc. when they dont understand the songs? Ajay Devgan studied music in england but in songs, he was singing Indian classical style . The direction was really just too poor of LONDON DREAMS. . Salman Khan and Ajay Devgan, none of them were looking like singers and both are having a very irritating singing style. Ajay Devgan's one hand in air and Salman's shaking head style were just too much to irritate. I heard that earlier Aamir Khan and Shah Rukh Khan were going to act in the lead roles of LONDON DREAMS. It is really good for them that they are not the part of LONDON DREAMS now.

ROCK ON was also about music and songs of ROCK ON were kind of pop-rock genre. And the characters were looking musician and their act of playing musical instruments too. But LONDON DREAMS was just not having that much level of music, story, acting and direction. The only thing which was good in movie, Salman's great look. He was looking really great in the movie. . . . . . Well according to me, LONDON DREAMS should be broken.

Silly GOOGLE WAVE !

Well I heard about Google Wave few months back. I was having no idea about it and I was just not interested in Google Wave. Two weeks back, I heard about Google Wave's beta release and found that people are dying to use it and begging to get an invitation to use Google Wave in beta period. I was lucky ( thats what I thought at that moment ) that one of my twitter friend asked me for a Google Wave invitation and I got it. ( I also got an account for Gmail when it was an invitation only and invited lots and lots of people. . . Known,unknow,everyone who asked for a Gmail invitation )

The first thing which I did after getting the Google Wave invitation, was to open the invitation link. Then Google started showing me error message but no reason. After getting that error messages many times, Google displayed the message that " You can not open it on phone browser. " So I was going to wait till wednesday to use Google Wave as I was having internal exams till wednesday. I was a bit busy in labs and my seminar preparation too, so I got the chance to use it on saturday only. I opened the link and logged in Google Wave with my Google account and that is when trouble started. . . . . . . . .

Right after logging in, Google Wave displayed the message that " This browser is not supporting Google Wave. " I was using the latest version of my favorite browser Opera. It annoyed me a lot but I downloaded the latest version of Mozilla Firefox to use Google Wave as it was mentioned in the above message. I started using Google Wave on Firefox but still it was caused Firefox to crash several times. . . After getting in, I found that Google Wave is totally based on flash. The first thing I wanted to do is to invite few people to use Google Wave. But I was not able to find the way to invite others. I did a little research in official Google forums and found that many people were complaining about it there. In fact, Google Wave stopped giving Invitation feature to all the Google Wave account as many people were joining it in beta testing period. So I was one of them who can not invite others to join Google Wave. It was showing my only three older contacts in Friend section as they were having Google Wave account too now. So I simply logged out from the Google Wave and started working on my new blog. . . . . . . And yes, in this small duration Firefox crashed many times because of Google Wave.

Yesterday too, I found that people are asking for Google Wave invitations to others. But I am not interested anymore in it. . . . . What is the logic of having a Google Wave account if I can not use it? I can not add people. I can not use my favorite browser and it is crashing the browsers which is recommended by Google Wave itself. And the worst, I cant invite people to use it with whome I wanna be in touch with the help of Google Wave. . . . . . . Thumbs Down To GOOGLE WAVE. It is really annoying.

Happy Birthday To THE INTERNET

So officially Mr. INTERNET is 40 years old and still going strong. In fact, it is being stronger each and everyday. Well if you are reading this post then I do not think that I need to introduce you the internet. I just want to say Thanks to the internet for everything it gave me [ poor visibility too,as I use computer a lot for the internet purpose ;) ]. According to me, in today's time there is nothing if there is no internet. . . . .

Yesterday Was A Bad Day :(

Well yesterday was a real bad day for me. I am not gonna tell you everything in detail and gonna make you bore. But I just want to share as I am a bit sad.

I was having a bit symptoms of cold and fever since Wednesday's night. Four of my hostel members are suffering from cold and fever and I think, they gifted me it too. So when I woke up, I was having pain in body and a bit fever. That made my day in an instant. . . . If you are regular visitor of this blog then you must know that I am a music addict and my day starts with listening music. But yesterday I forgot to bring the headphone of my phone on which I use to listen music these days [ both of my 8gb music players are not working :( ] It was another thing which made my mood off. . . . . . In college, I was having lab but since there was Fresher's Day celebration in the college,they cancelled the classes afternoon. I am just not interested in stuffs like Fresher's Day celebration etc. So I went to computer lab for preparing my seminar. But the computer lab guy didnt allowed me to do it and asked me to go and have fun in that stupid party. Even though I said that I am not interested in that, he didnt allowed me and tried to be funny with me. So I had a small argument with him. Finally I left the lab and decided to go back to hostel. But there was no transportation after 1pm. Anyhow I got an auto after an hour and returned back to hostel.

And there was a suprise waiting for me. . . . . My headphone was not at the place where I left it last time. First I thought that may be, somebody took that use and will return. But nobody came for that till late at evening and started asking everyone about it. Nobody accepted that he is having my headphone. So finally , I lost that and have to buy a new one. And the worst thing is that. . . . . I can not listen music till that moment :(

Well this was a boring and sad day of my life. I am having more fever now and today ,there is seminar too. Hope that I will have more stuffs to make you bore again ;) . . . . . . HAVE A NICE DAY

Goodbye GEOCITIES :(

GEOCITIES is closed officially today. . . . . Yahoo announced in the middle of the April that they are planning to close the service of Geocities. In just one single year, Yahoo closed more than 20 services. Geocities and Briefcase were two of my favorite services by Yahoo decades before. But they are no more now.

Geocities gave me my first site nearly a decade before when I was in high school. I was excited and curious to use it. And I made lots of sites on Geocities. Most of them were about me and related to music. Later i used Geocities for Yahoo hacking purpose and it was really great to work with it ;) Free web hosting by Geocities was a big thing and it was the pioneer of free web hosting. Same was the case with Yahoo Briefcase. Briefcase was providing 30MB memory which was so bigger than the 1MB inbox of Yahoo Mail. . . . With the rise of technology and services, Yahoo Briefcase was of no use for sure but I do not think that it was a nice idea to close Geocities when it was still getting 10 million unique visitors each month. I think the reason behind is financial. YAHOO is going to start its paid web hosting and may be,that is why they decided to stop their free web hosting service, Geocities.

Well whatever is the reason, Geocities is no more and there is nothing else to say than. . . . . . . . . Goodbye Geocities. REST IN PEACE

Why Seminars Are So Boring?

WHAT IS SEMINAR ? : A process in which one person looses many sleeps at night to prepare something to make others feel sleepy for an hour ;) . . . .

This is the seventh semester of my engineering course and seminar is part of our syllabus. I was not attending any seminar so far as seminars are being conducted on Friday afternoon. And Friday afternoon, I dont attend the college as I offer Friday Namaz and dont come back. I dont come back cause I dont get any transport to come back. It is not that I dont want to come ( I do not bunk for no reason ;) ) . . . . . . . Well today one guy gave me lift on his bike after Namaz and I was there in college to attend the seminars for the first time ( Last time when I was present,seminars were canceled due to some reason ).

So I attended the seminars today. Few of the topics were like Keylogger, T rays, Digital Jewellary ( ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ) etc. First two topics I mentioned above are old and I was having a bit idea about them, specially Keylogger. I was doing that stuff when I was in high school. So it was pretty boring for me to listen all those theoritical things when I know a lot about practical. . . . . Few of the presentations got funny questions from teachers and few students got to present their seminar again. In between, they served some cool drink. I was in desperate need of having a tea or coffee but got just opposite. It made me feel more sleepy. . . . . In the end of the session, nobody was listening the seminar and the person presenting was also looking bored by his own presentation. . . . . Ha Ha Ha. . . . That was the moment when I twitted that why seminars are so boring? And today, I had nothing else to write than this.

After each presentation, I wanted to ask question to presenter but I was not in the mood to take risk. Cause I have to present a seminar too. If I was gonna ask question to them then may be they would do the same to me to take revenge. I do not want it ;) . . . . But I am gonna take the revenge. I will have a seminar to represent and to make them bore and feel sleepy by speaking something in which nobody is interested. . . . And I will not let this opportunity to go

Twitting Again :)

I was on Twitter since a very long time but was not using it much. Few days back when I checked it after a long time then I came to know that my Twitter account is no more working :( So I created a new account and started twitting again. Only problem is that I lost all of my followers there and I will have to ask them to join me there on Twitter again.

I Am Back

My last post was written more than a month before. It was the day when i was leaving from Delhi to go Cochin for my project work. After that I was busy whole month in my project. And that was the reason that I was not getting time to update this blog. Whenever I got time, I updated my music blog as people complain very fast if I dont update it.

After my project, which is not over yet and I will have to go again to Cochin for this purpose, I was busy in my lab exam and preparation for my seminar. Lab exam is over and seminar is in last week of this month. My internal exams will be in first week of next month. So finally, I am free enough to do what i want. . . . Blogging, Music etc. Last saturday, I went for a rock concert. It was a nice experience and I will make a post about it. I will try to share the pics taken while I was in Cochin too. . . . . . So keep visiting this blog. Lots of stuff gonna come soon ;)

Months before I made a post You Know You Are INDIAN When..... and since I am studying in southern part of India, I found some interesting differences between girls of south india and north india. I am going to make two different posts in which I will tell about north indian and south indian girls separately......

1. At the time of marriage, a north Indian girl has more boyfriends than her age.

2. Before marriage, she looks almost like a bollywood heroine and after marriage you have to go around her twice to completely hug her.

3. By the time she professes her undevoted love to you, you are bankrupt because of the number of times you had to take her out to movies, theatres and restaurants. And you wait longingly for her dowry.

SHAH RUKH KHAN. . . A TERRORIST ?

Just few minutes before, I came outside from a nearby theatre after watching the movie NEW YORK ( I always get hindi movies so late here in Kerala ). It was a nice movie and i really liked it. The facts showing in the end of the movie were really horrifying. But as it is in my nature, I liked the positive aspects of this movie. Right after coming out from the theatre, I checked the news on the mobile version of Times Of India dot Com and the headline was ' SHAH RUKH KHAN Detained On US Airport For Being A Muslim '. My reaction was like 'What The Hell' ?. . . . Few minutes back, I was watching a movie about this thing and the very same thing happened with the biggest Bollywood actor. SHAH RUKH KHAN was detained for two hours and was not allowed to call for an hour. Even after giving the info that he is an actor and came there to receive an honor from the Asian Community, nobody listened him. They left him only when a Congress MP called the authority.

The very same thing happened with A.P.J ABDUL KALAM. It is very serious issue cause when top people of a country can be detained then, the worst can happen with an ordinary person. And that is what was the topic of the movie New York. There are lots of people and officials to help a person like SHAH RUKH KHAN or A.P.J ABDUL KALAM but what about a common person ? . . . . . . .

Seems like being Muslim is still a crime in western countries,specially USA. And the worst thing is that they dont know the difference between SECURITY and HARASSMENT ? . . . .

Few more things happened this morning which I want to talk about to you all. But I will make a separate post about them, soon. . . . . Well one more thing, HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY TO ALL OF YOU. . . PROUD TO BE AN INDIAN

Delhi’s rising crime rate haunts DILLIWALAAS....!!!

National Crime Records Bureau ( NCRB), placed Delhi at the top of the crime totem pole among India’s 35 mega cities ( having a population of more than a million). In fact, it says Delhi has 58,625 policemen but almost 25 per cent of them — 14,200 men to be precise — are deputed round the- clock for VIP security.
The Capital has 135 police stations, but only 3,928 vehicles for movement of the personnel.Of these, nearly half ( 1,963) are two- wheelers.

“Delhi has accounted for 15.1 per cent of total crimes reported from the 35 mega cities,” says the NCRB’s ‘ Crime in India 2007’ report.
The Capital witnessed 50,895 criminal cases in 2007, followed by Mumbai ( 30,481) and Bangalore ( 27,000). Even much- maligned cities like Patna and Lucknow are far behind, reporting less than 9,000 criminal cases.
What is really alarming is that even hi- profile South district registered 10,414 criminal cases.

The NCRB report says Delhi reports more murders ( 411), rapes ( 524), kidnappings ( 1,460), auto- thefts ( 8,322), burglaries ( 1,868) and robberies ( 501) than any of the other 65 cities in the country that have a population of over half- a- million.

In comparison, Mumbai reported 230 murders, 174 rapes, 179 kidnappings, 3,621 auto- thefts and 265 robberies in 2007. Ironically, Delhi ( 128 million) is less populated than Mumbai ( 163.6 million).
There are damning figures on the safety of women even as the mysterious murder of TV journalist Saumya Vishwanathan still remains unsolved. The NCRB says Delhi reported 29.5 per cent ( 524 out of 1,775) of the total rape cases in India in 2007.

The Capital is also the most unsafe place in the country for children, reporting a crime rate nearly six times higher than the national average.
The NCRB says 2,019 cases of crime against children were reported in Delhi in 2007, including 368 cases of child marriage, 1,161 kidnappings, 398 rapes and 56 murders.

Clearly, the Capital needs more policemen and better policing to bring the crime rate down. And maybe, Ms.Sheila Dikshit could do with a little more power over the forces.........!!!!!

GREEN YOUR COMPUTER USE

Computing has changed the world - a great example is the Internet. It's hard to imagine life without either of them.

While computer usage can actually lessen our environmental footprint, for example, being able to work from home or control of farm irrigation and many other tasks, the energy consumption i
nvolved with casual computing and gaming generally is massive.

There's not just the actual computer usage related electricity consumption, there is also all the millions of tons of plastic and metal used to create the billions of computers in their various forms now on this planet.

We can all do our bit in lessening our impact of computer usage on the environment. Here are some of the tips for more environment-friendly computing, some of which will also save you cash!
• When not in use for long periods, switch off your computer.
• Have your power saving/management options enabled and properly configured for periods when your computer is temporarily not in use.
• During usage, only have your screen as bright as you need it - unnecessarily bright screens really chew the juice
• If you're going to use a screen saver, use a blank (black) screen - animated screen savers consume more electricity.
• When buying components and peripherals, try to choose those that comes with least amount of plastic packaging.
• For your next computer, consider a notebook instead of desktop - these use under 50% the electricity of a desktop machine
• If you can afford it, buy extended warranty with your new system so there's less likelihood of you needing to junk the computer within the first few years if an expensive repair is needed.
• When considering your next screen purchase, balance your wants with your actual needs. Prefer using a small-sized screen.
• Before purchasing a new computer, consider upgrading the hardware in your current machine. Some extra RAM (memory) or a new hard drive may be all you need to restore life to your current system.
• Similarly it is not uncommon for Windows to get slower as time goes on. This isn't necessarily your machine, but software bloat. All the updates, installing and uninstalling of software, applications running in the background that you don't really need take their toll and basically clog your machine up; seriously impacting on performance, which in turn is more wear and tear on hardware and increase electricity consumption. Consider doing a reinstallation of Windows and your software. A lean machine will sip less electricity and perform much better.
• When you do replace your current computer system, donate it rather than throw it away, if possible.
• Consider refurbished computers for your next purchase. These aren't dusty old machines that have just been wiped over; often they are display models or recent purchase returns with very little wear and tear that are thoroughly checked before sale, and often have the same guarantee that new units do. You can save a ton of cash this way!

e-waste is now the fastest growing aspect of the municipal waste stream. It is high time to take proper measures to reduce computer wastes and use computers in a green way.

Easy ways to reduce Carbon Footprint

It is time to become serious about carbon emissions and the effect they have on the environment. It is seen that the carbon emission is becoming a severe environmental threat now. If it is not checked at this moment, it is sure to take a serious turn in the near future.

Here are some quick and easy ways to cut back on your carbon emissions. They will help you save the environment and money

Cut your home energy consumption. Turning down a thermostat by just one degree centigrade saves an amazing 10% on your fuel bill each year. Have a bit of a carbon spring clean of your home. Add more insulation, block up some annoying drafts, make sure are in control (add a time switch or thermostatic radiator valves) and be aware that each hour a boiler fires it will have released 5kg of CO2.

Switch to green electricity. Switch now to Good Energy, Green Energy etc., and you instantly lose two to three tonnes off your footprint.

Use energy efficient light bulbs. The latest high performance (energy efficient and long life) light bulbs are amazing. They come in every shape and size, including exact replicas of the old fashioned bulb. They do not flicker, they come in soft-tone, they start up instantly and they look cool. Each bulb you plant saves at least 100 kg of CO2. Try using CFL bulbs to reduce your electricity consumption

Know how much electricity you are using. If you knew how much electricity you were using you would switch off a few lights and turn off TVs and radios that are standby. Turning off electrical items you are not using can rapidly deliver help you to save lot of energy and reduce your carbon footprint.

Get a car that is environment-friendly. Low carbon is low cost in every sense. Road tax, insurance rating and fuel costs all tend to go together. When you buy - or rent - a car make sure you get one with CO2 emissions.

Use your car less. Consider how good it would feel to walk once in a while - or bike it. Rediscover the joy of public transport or use a carpool to go to the office. Long distance off peak rail is great for unwinding and having a quiet time. Give that steering wheel a break once in a while.

Change your driving style. Drive more slowly and consider car sharing with someone else who is going to the same place as you.
Consider flying less often. Try to fly less (some people are deciding not to fly at all) and refer to go by other means of less energy consuming transport system. Stay longer when you fly long distance. Combine two trips. If you go far-flung on holidays do it less often.

This certainly speaks for itself.Many people can start a debate on the morality of abortion. Yes ,abortion is murder to many conscientious objectors. But to many a stressed mom and dad, so too is having kids.....lolz

An Indian is having his breakfast (coffee, croissants, bread, butter
And jam) when an American man; chewing gum, sits down next to him.
The Indian ignores the American who, nevertheless, starts a conversation.

American: "You Indians eat the whole bread?"
Indian (coolly): "Of course."
American: (after blowing a huge bubble)"We don't. In America, we only eat what's inside. The crusts we collect in a container,recycle it,transform them into croissants and sell them to India."

The American has a smirk on his face. The Indian munches on... gives a cold look but did not reply.

The American refuses to take the cue and persists: "Do you eat jelly with the bread??"

American: (cracking his gum between his teeth and chuckling). "We don't. In America we eat fresh fruit for breakfast, then we put all the peels,seeds,and left overs in containers, recycle them, transform them into jam and sell the jam to India."

The Indian puts his coffee mug down...looks straight in the American's eye and then asks: "Do you have sex in America?"
American: "Why of course we do", the American says with a big smirk.
Indian: "And what do you do with the condoms once you've used them?"
American: "We throw them away, of course."
Indian: "We don't. In India, we put them in a container, recycle them, melt them down into chewing gum and sell them to America.

The source from where i got these pictures,states that these skirts are not transparent and everything is just printed on the skirts....

I just do not get the logic for that...If you want to show that to people then what is the need of these type of things?It would be great if you will go like this in real cause Real or Fake (printed on skirts), it is same for the men....And you will also get rid of hot if you will wear transparent skirts...lolz

But all i wanna say is that ,in my view reservation is the need of time but it SHOULD NOT based on cast and community but on Financial and Economic Condition.....
