As we skied down from Agil Du Medi to the Valée Blanc, wo crossed the famous glacier called Mer De Glace several times. The view as we passed the steeper parts og the glacier was amazing!

I belive that the image speaks for itself!

Winter is probably my favourite time of the year for photography. Im not fully sure why that is, but i feel that it has to do with the way i think about landscape photography.

To me, landscape photography is a way to simplify the impressions nature gives me. Simplifying a otherwise complexed environmental system of seasons, weather and life. Eliminate time and pause my otherwise fast moving life, enabling me to digest the moment of calm and peace.

For some reason, winter and snow helps me with this simplification, even though being out there in the winter is so much more demanding and complex than during summer.

Stavsbergvatnet is located in municipality i Norway. This lake is created due to a mudslide blocking the river that ran on the valley floor. This small lake gives the area a calm feel in contrast to the dramatic mountainsides.

As we continued farther down the valley we met a sign saying, do not stop! Danger of rockslide, describing how narrow and steep this valley is! Never the less, it is a beautiful place that you have to visit if you for some reason find yourself in this area.

I could not stop taking pictures of this scene, as the illuminated snowsnowboa was blowing through the air, creating this dramatic landscape that changed every second.

It was difficult to expose this image correctly as the illuminated snow was super bright against the dark shadow side of the Mountains. But I think it turned out good in the end!

Store Vengetind. Romsdal

The goal for the day was to reach the summit of Kyrkjetaket in Romsdalen. Conditions were perfect with no wind, clear blue sky and 40 cm of fresh powder snow. After about one hour of hiking, we reached the ridge from where this image is taken. Elevated at around 900, we got a perfect view of the famous Vengetind. At 1852 moh, this is the tallest mountain in the area. It was no longer strange that we had no wind at all, as the mountains downwind took all the beating!

The new snow from the day before, a low sun and windy conditions are the perfect components to get amazing mountain landscapes. It was truly fascinating to watch the snow blow and swirl off the peaks, and we had to stay there for a while and just take it all in.

Truly amazing!
