I was planning to post the details of the flashmob event today, but now is not the time. Now is the time for condolence and reflection.

My thoughts and wishes go out to everyone in the Hokie Family. Be strong.

Alright. All you flashmobbers out there, spread the word.

The Event:
- Monday, April 30th
- 12:10-12:15 PM
- Virginia Tech Drillfield (Blacksburg, VA)

All details will be added one week before the event begins. I can say right now that it involves rocking out.

If you cannot make it to this event, do not worry; there will be more. What you can do is spread the word. Add this link on your myspace, your AIM profile, your Facebook profile, whatever. Send an email to your friends about this.

If you want to make flyers or send carrier pidgeons, that's cool too.

I wanted to start a flashmob at Virginia Tech.

My first attempt was to create a facebook account and friend the most random group of people ever. I searched people with interests of "crazy" "cheese" and "bacon." I friended friends of my friends and and then friended their friends. Things were going along smoothly and the plan was in action.

..until Facebook decided to delete my account without warning.

Now here I am on blogger, attempting to rebuild what Facebook has destroyed. I actually think this will be a better tactic because all I have to do is spread the link around. I don't have to attempt to friend someone, wait until they friend me, and then send an invite to an event. That is too time consuming. The only setback is I do not have a headcount of people attending.

Heh, it sounds like I'm creating a cult! No worries, flashmobs are an entertaining way to cause scenes. Flashmobs create riots to cause a riot. There is no violence or touching other people. There is only humor from the peoples' reaction.

I am going to start a flashmob at Virginia Tech.
