Internship Opportunities

Internships are a great opportunity to get your foot in the door of a company you may want to work for. You will get the hands on experience and answers to questions you may have about the field of work you are interested in. The Hall Career Center has internship opportunities in lots of fields of study including marketing, human services, accounting, IT, web programming, and many more. You must take SDV106, Preparation for Employment, prior to doing an internship. For more information contact Gailen Miles at gmiles@virginiawestern.edu or call 772-8151. Summer class starts Tuesday, May 22, 2-5pm.

Customer Service Workshop

Customer Service is not a department. It is not delegated only to those on the front line. Customer Service is EVERYBODY’S Business. “How you THINK about your customers is how you will treat them.” -Bob Farrell. Are you interested in learning more about Customer Service and how to lead by example. The workshop will be held on Tuesday, May 15, 2-4pm at the Greenfield Center in Daleville. Transportation will be provided. Space is limited. You must register in the Career Center, S202 before day of the event. The workshop is FREE. You do not want to miss this opportunity.

Resume Power Hour

We will be hosting Resume Power Hour most Mondays between 11:00am and 12:00pm. If you need handouts to help get you started, call 857-7298 or email rrice@virginiawestern.edu.
