The Hall Career Center will hold a Health Technology & Wellness Fair in the Thomas Center on Thursday, February 9, 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Explore employment opportunities with a variety of employers in the Health Technology & Wellness fields. Bring an up-to-date resume. Please come to the Career Center, S202, to register. You do not want to miss out on this great networking opportunity. Be sure to dress to impress. You only have one chance to make a first impression.

The Hall Career Center (Student Center, room 202) is open 8 a.m. – 2 p.m. and will help with your resume. Be prepared to bring a resume and dress is business casual.

Spring Cleaning Can Benefit YOU

The Hall Career Center is teaming up with Goodwill Industries of the Valleys to collect your unwanted clothing, books, games, and many other household items. It is never too early to start cleaning out your closets and drawers. There are people who can benefit from things you do not use or need. The Goodwill Truck is scheduled to be on campus collecting Wednesday, March 14, 7:45am-1pm and 4:30-6:30pm. You can get a receipt for items brought in the day of the Truck only. An Edgar box will be on campus in front of the Student Center the week of March 19-24. Donation boxes will be available around campus March 12-23. In exchange for your unwanted items, your name will go into drawings for vouchers to be used at Goodwill Stores to purchase interview clothing. Some of the best dressed business associates buy their clothing at Goodwills. We ask that you start collecting items to bring in for donation now. Mark the above dates on your calendar.

The Dinner Program is designed to bridge the gap between academia and the business community. You MUST register in the Career Center, S202 at least 1 week prior to the dinner. Dinner is FREE. Career Center Hours

Due to limited staffing, the Hall Career Center’s spring 2012 hours are currently 8am until 2 pm Mondays through Fridays. Individual appointments for assistance with career planning, resumes, and interviewing are available between the hours of 9 am and 6 pm. You may schedule an appointment by calling 857-7298.

Business Etiquette Mixer

Preparation for Employment Day

Friday, February 3, 10am-1pm, we will be having a Preparation for Employment Day for those students who need help with resume writing and/or interviewing skills. We will have a resume writing workshop at 10:00am if needed. You can meet with employers one on one for resume critiques and/or mock interviews. We will also be holding some job searching and interviewing seminars. This is a great opportunity for students to get employment ready and network with local employers. Come to the Career Center to register for this event. A schedule will be posted soon as to the times and locations of each event that day. This event does qualify for an HCC passport stamp.

Resume Power Hour

We will be holding Resume Power Hour during the spring semester. It will be held in the Career Center, S202, Mondays between 11am and 12pm. You can drop by with your resume and have it tweaked.
