Coyote Kisses – Acid Wolfpack EP

The first time I listened to this strange duo on SoundCloud, I was struck by how many ideas they managed to cram into each of their songs. These are the same guys who brought us the remix of the Star Wars theme – Binary Suns. Just today they finally released their long awaited EP on Beatport. The EP includes two tracks – Acid Wolfpack, one of the most musically complicated dubstep tracks this planet has ever seen, and Galactic Love Song (ft. Elliot Evins), a song that truly cannot be classified with a genre. Also included with the EP is their remix of Gotye – Somebody I Used to Know (ft. Kimbra), which is available for free download on their Facebook. Solid EP.

Rusko – Somebody to Love (Skream remix)

Skream is crazy. So is kuduro, so when Skream makes some kuduro, does that make it double crazy, or do both crazies cancel out. Who cares – kuduro is some of the coolest stuff out right now and it’s getting made by some of the best dance producers in the world but not reaching nearly enough ears. It originated in the 1980′s, but now with electronic producers trying their hand at it it has gotten a little out of hand, in a good way. It has beats similar to the dembow moombahton beat with some other elements of moombahton, but is up around 140 bpm. Anyways, check out Skream’s kuduro-style remix of Rusko, and be sure not to miss out on your supplemental vitamins. This edition is action packed with kuduro beats from guys like Dillon Francis, Munchi, and Dismantle.

Louis Brodinski, French madman, part time death machine, full time musician. Louis adds yet another ditty to his already impressive list of remixes. This one is of Yuksek’s ‘Off the Wall’. With the quirky, funky, yet badass vibes always delivered in a Brodinski track, again it’s difficult to put this in a certain genre. Not to worry though that’s why we leave that job to the youtube trolls.

Bingo Players – L’Amour (Original Mix)

Bingo Players have been putting out some pretty heavy tracks recently and after “Rattle” I realized they weren’t messing around. Their new release “L’Amour” has a pretty massive sound and I don’t think the release being right before major festival season begins is any coincidence.

Why hello Vacay patients! My name is Viceroy and I’ve been given the honor of filling your prescriptions with summertime. Every week or so I will post “Viceroy Funkscriptions”. It’s a collection of everything feel good and summery ranging from the latest in nudisco, funk, and tropical vibes. I also search back in the past for tracks that are incredible that never received true praise. I have some beach party beats for you today.

First off we have a brand spanking new track “Falling for You” from L’Étranger. His style of glitchy french house is extremely unique and gives Ed Banger artists a run for their money. “Falling for You” is truly a gem.

The 16 year old disco house producer Lenno has proven that age doesnt matter when it comes to producing quality stuff. His latest remix of St. Lucia‘s “We Got It Wrong” showcases his clever hard disco style and makes you antsy for summer. It’s my favorite remix by the young lad.

I am fortunate enough to have just played with Oliver in San Francisco (details here). I admire their productions skills and the duo really brings disco to a new level. They just released a funktastic remix of Smalltown DJs‘ “Love Decoy”. They put a great modern 80s spin to it.

There is no denying Plastic Plates has some of the best productions out there. He has released two of his first original productions, “Toys and “More Than Love” in the last several weeks . They are nothing short of high quality plus they are super funky and free!

This remix from Jean Tonique of The Kooks’ “Naive” may have come a bit late, but who cares; it’s an absolute jam. I’m really impressed by the young producer’s ability to take a mellow song and create something I would love to play in one of my sets.

Underrated Vitamins

Here are two tracks I think should have recieved more praise. One is Geisha Twins remix of Andy Murphy’s “Can’t Keep Me” and the other is U-Tern‘s remix of Señor Stereo‘s “Unintentional”. I play the U-Tern remix in almost everyone of my sets.
