 Sayanapradakshinam was done around the temple at 6:00 P.M. After that the usual bhajans with 11 pradakshinams of the Shivan Kovil. There was thayambaka arranged in front of the temple, followed by Poornasbhishekam which went till 1:30 A.M.

Muhurthakaal was fixed on 21/12/2009 at the auspicious time of  6:30 A.M, under the vedic guidance of our grama vadhyar, Sri Anantharayana Vadhyar  and the presence of our samooham members. Vaaram started from 5th Dec ends on 10th Dec. As like previous years, this year too, the students of the Veda Patasala run by the Veda Rakshana Samithi, at Ramanathapuram, does the veda parayanam in the evening at Ayyappan Kovil. This time, the vaara sadya was conducted on the 5th and 6th  (Sat/Sun) with the active participation by the gramam members. Here are few snapshots.

Navarathri was celebrated in our gramam with bhajanai in the night, followed by prasadom ditribution(Paanakam and chundals) on all 10 days. Sivan kovil was illuminated for the occassion. Bomma golus were kept in various homes. The 10 days festivities came to a close with the vazhavettal function.
