Dr. Wendell Bell, as well as Dr. Michel Godet and Peter Schwartz receive 2011 Laurel Awards, the all-time best futurists as voted annually by Foresight Network members and/or by agreement of the Foresight Network Board. The ‘Laurel’ award is bestowed by the Board for outstanding services to futures thinking. We have all been influenced and affected by Dr. Wendell Bell in some form or other and we have him to thank for the wonderful science we all love –futures research, thinking and design.

در چارچوبی که هلال – مارین (2011) از مگا بحران جهانی ارئه می دهند ما برای چهار سناریوی 1) سقوط به سمت فاجعه، 2) تقلا به سمت بد تر شدن، 3) تقلا به سمت بهتر شدن، و 4) خیزش به سمت بلوغ تمدن انسانی احتمالات عینی را نمی دانیم. بنابراین باید از شرط بندی های دارای عدم قطعیت برای تعیین وزن های تصمیم یا احتمالات غیر جمع پذیر استفاده کنیم

We seek two postdoctoral Research Fellows to undertake research for the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs and its network and to help grow our industrial client base in this field. Both positions support our Centre for Environmental Risks and Futures and will play a key role in delivering CERF’s research programme. For these positions, a background in, or experience of fields allied to environment, food and rural affairs is required, alongside an awareness of the research needs for the green economy.
