He branched out into audio engineering for radio and then got involved in the movie industry. It was while he was working at Warner Bros. that he ran into the Baha’i Faith. The Israelis do not admit to intentionally firing on UN facilities in Gaza during Operation Cast Lead, but they add that Hamas was firing from within those facilities and hence were legitimate targets. In other words, we didn’t do it, but if we did, we had every right to do it. No one outside of the US and Israel believes the font of lies emanating from Tel Aviv, but still Ban Ki-Moon goes through the pointless exercise of demanding $11 million from Israel for the damage they’ve done; a sum that will never be paid. The US once again slaughters scores of civilians in Afghanistan, this time in the province of Farah. We also cover the Univ. of Illinois study that finds that not only is majority sign up or “card check” cheaper for taxpayers and less rancorous for employers, but that they were unable to uncover a single instance of union intimidation despite the pervasive lie advanced by anti-union front groups with Orwellian names like “Americans for Prosperity” and “Coalition for a Democratic Workplace.” Finally, Seeing Red concludes our two-part series on International Workers’ Day.

Warren Odess-Gillett interviews Sara. When Sara was 8 years old, her mother converted to Islam and Sara became a practicing Muslim. When Sara was in 8th grade her family moved to the United Arab Emirates where her father was from. She was basically trapped within her house in an abusive relationship with her father. When she finally was old enough to go to college, she went to a women’s college where she commuted by bus. It was there that she discovered the Baha’i Faith. It was also while at this women’s college that Sara decided to escape her family situation.
