EatYourCookie.com Review and Giveaway

Apparently words gotten out that I like sweets. The folks at EatYourCookie.com asked me if I’d be willing to review their cookies. EatYourCookie is a bakery that specializes in fresh gourmet cookies. I’ve never been the type of girl to turn down a cookie so I accepted.

The cookies arrived unbroken, safely cushioned on curly paper packing.

Each of the cookies was individually wrapped to preserve their freshness. At approximately 3 to 4 inches across, these cookies are huge.

As we unwrapped the cookies I noticed that all of them had great color. I hate burnt cookies so I checked the bottom and edges of every cookie and found they all looked great. Despite the fact that the cookies had been baked and shipped from another state they were as fresh and soft as if I’d bought them locally.

We received most of the flavors available including Chocolate Chip, Chocolate Fudge, Lime sugar, Peanut Butter and Thin Crispy Oatmeal. We all shared the cookies and I was very pleased with the flavor of each and every cookie that I tasted. They all tasted so fresh. My son TJ liked the Lime Sugar the best and wondered why they didn’t offer a Sugar Cookie because he was betting it would be delicious if they did. RB loved the Peanut Butter cookie, he said he loved that he could distinctly taste the peanut butter. My absolute favorite was the Chocolate Fudge. These cookies tasted so fresh and sinful! The only thing they needed to make them perfect was a glass of cold milk.

EatYourCookie is located in WashingtonDC. They offer same day delivery within their local area and will also ship orders worldwide. Their Cookies Every Month club would be a great gift idea for anyone with a sweet tooth in your life. Their website is easy to use and gives you the opportunity to order online. EatYourCookie is also willing to make cookies to your specifications if there’s something you want that they don’t currently offer.

To Go Pet Bowl Review And Giveaway

When my entire family traveled to Florida in 2006 we took along two dogs. The hardest part of the trip for them was making sure they had enough to drink and eat while we were on the road. If you’ve ever tried to give your dog water from a 16 ounce water bottle made for people then you know it can be a little sloppy. This week I reviewed a product that makes traveling with your pets much easier - the To Go Bowl from Furry Travelers.

Simply put, the To Go Bowl is a plastic bowl that fits into the cup holders that most automobiles have. If you’re into details, the To Go Bowl is actually a combination of 5 separate pieces - the bowl, the bowl lid, the splash guard, the base, the flexible sleeve and the base lid. The To Go Bowl measures 7 1/16″ high, 7 3/16″ long and 5 7/16″ wide when it’s fully assembled. The pieces are made in the USA from durable FDA approved polylpropelene. The flexible sleeve now fits both standard and extra large cup holders as wide as 3-4 inches. Used in the car the bowl can hold approximately 16-18 ounces of water. The To Go Bowl can also be used as a regular bowl you place on the floor that holds up to 32 ounces of water.

I thought this bowl to be a great idea and very useful to anyone that travels with a pet. It could be used for cats or dogs. It is very easy to assemble and disassemble. I love that it has a lid and a splash guard built in so that your console doesn’t get all wet. I also like that the bottom serves a purpose – holding treats (or food if you prefer). It’s easy to clean (dishwasher safe if that’s your preference) and easy to store when you’re not using it.

The To Go Pet Bowl is recommended as a must have product by the American Pet Products Association (APPA). The APPA found in their 2009-10 survey that on average dog owners will take their pet on three car trips per year and cat owners will take their cat on five car trips per year.

The To Go Bowl retails for $19.95 and can be purchased online. It’s available in eight colors - pearl, pearl blue, pearl lavender, pearl pink, red, cream, metallic silver and yellow.

Guiltless Gourmet Unsalted Tortilla Chips Review And Giveaway

Since bariatric surgery I’ve been trying to make smarter food choices. One of my weaknesses has always been snacking so I’ve been trying to find healthier snacks that I’ve eaten in the past. I was happy to receive a chance to review an all natural snack from Guiltless Gourmet.

I received a bag of Guiltless Gourmet All Natural Unsalted Yellow Corn Tortilla Chips. These tortilla chips are made with natural, organic ingredients and are baked instead of fried. One serving of chips contains 125 calories or less, as well as 3 grams of fat and 2 grams of fiber. I found the chips to be very sturdy, the bag didn’t seem to contain as many pieces and crumbs like some of the other brands often do. I did find the Unsalted chip to be on the bland side, but it was extremely crunchy. When I put a little salsa on the chip it was perfect. I’m looking forward to trying some of their other flavors, particularly the Yellow Corn and the Blue Corn.

Guiltless Gourmet tortilla Chips are available in eight flavors including Blue Corn, Chili Lime, Yellow Corn Salted, Spicy Black Bean, Mucho Nacho, Chipotle, Chili Verde and Yellow Corn Unsalted. The suggested retail price for a bag is $2.79. Guiltless Gourmet offers a line of products besides their chips including dips, frozen wraps and dessert bowls. Their products can be purchased nationwide in grocery stores such as Shoprite, Wegmans, Kroger, Safeway, Publix, Whole Foods and Albertsons.
