I have to admit, I have to rely on my kids for keeping up with the cell phone, gaming, Mp3 players and other trends.

I prefer to stick to the simpler things.

Did you get a chance to watch the Indianapolis 500 last weekend? We have a Value Place victory of our own to celebrate too. This summer we are opening our 100th property and the milestone will be celebrated in Columbus, Georgia at our newest and second location on 1801 Victory Drive. We feel like we have won, having experienced exceptional growth in only four years of franchising.

Columbus offers lots to do and there will be plenty of us from Value Place visiting during our celebration, we can't wait to see the 15-mile Chattahoochee Riverwalk and experience the Space Science Center.

We are proud to be involved in the communities we call home. We couldn't do it without the partnerships we have with the city officials, civic leaders and neighborhood associations.

As part of our SAFE Community Partership Program we focus on strong and effective relationships with local law enforcement agencies. It just reminds me that officers ar some of our hometwon heroes.

Big Bucks!

"I got the big bucks," said Tom Milinavich of Cleveland, Ohio who was our February winner of the 1,000 Dollar Week-Stay Giveaway. Tom said he was glad he won the money and is looking forward to spending some time at a Value Place in the near future.

He wants to use his free week stay to visit his son at Ohio State University or drop in on his other son who will soon start medical school at Michigan State. If all else fails, he is happy to look for a simple getaway closer to home.

Hello, I'm Bob Creech and I want to introduce myself to our current and potential guests! I have joined the Value Place team as Senior Vice President of Safety and Security Innovations.

I will spend a lot of my time at Value Place properties, but am based at our headquarters in Wichita, Kansas. My family and I are making preparations for settling into our new community. Like many of our Value Place guests, I understand how stressful relocation can be!

I have always been interested in public safety. During my career I've served as Emergency Medical Technician, Deputy Sheriff, Patrol Sergeant and had the privilege of being elected and serving as Sheriff of Cherokee County for 6 years. Prior to joining Value Place I was the Director of Public Safety for Avila University in Kansas City, Missouri. I have graduated from the Kansas and Missouri Law Enforcement academies and have a Masters Degree in Organizational Development.

As a current or potential guest you should know that Value Place has a program called SAFE Community Partnerships. This program encourages our Area Managers, Property Managers and franchisees to create a relationship with local police departments. Wow! As a former Sheriff I can assure you that those relationships make a powerful statement about Value Place's commitment to comfort and safety in the communities where we do business.

I am lucky to have joined a company that has always considered our guest's comfort and safety as a top priority, and I am looking forward to implementing innovative solutions to build on that tradition.
