2011.07.02 Bridesmaid Make Up & Crossroads Park, Bellevue

I did bridesmaid make up for a client in the morning, she was late so I was in huuuuuryy because she booked another appointment with the hair salon afterward. She loves the result but I think I could do better if I had more time :)

since we only have a short summer in Seattle, we better enjoy the outdoor & the warm weather as much as possible :D Crossroads park in Bellevue, WA is a very nice park with a lot of water sprinkles, it's perfect to take bebe for a fun Summer day :D We slathered bebe with sunblock, all over his head too...then he's ready to play! I was so proud of him, bebe wasn't scared to play and he didn't pushed other kids on the park :))

after too much fun, bebe had a gooooood sleep :)

we started our day by going to Crossroads Park, again!...haha...bebe dressed in patriotic color, white, navy and red X3

good morning, silly boy :)

today we going to go to ride the steam boat with our friends Doug & Chasidy,

the boat docked at Mercer Island, where D & C live, so we going to pick them up :)

bebe was tired and passed out, and boy...it was really heavy to carry a toddler uphill...Doug was trying to pushed me from the back and see if it would help me walk easier...lol

we visit the Mercer Island Fair, and I bought a very good dipping sauce there...oh so yumm! :D

and off course we gotta play at every playground we saw...haha :D

then it's time to say good bye to our friends, next destination is Apple store!

my Ipad had been crazy, it won't ready my sim card at all...the technician try to check it up and said that they never seen problem like this and they can't fix it, so they ordered me a brand new one. They have a really good service!

It was bebe's first time experiencing indoan Food, and he loves it!! (bebe is 13 months)

the curry is rhick and rich, while the bashmati rice is fragrant and light...it was perfect match.

2011.07.14 New Toothbrush & Ipod :D

Bebe finally some teeth (one and half...) to brush...haha

and hubby got me a new ipod. Mine was stolen at 24 hours gym, West Seattle. So I was putting my ipod back to my locker and took out my gloves for some weight lifting, and when I came back to the locker 10 minutes later, my locker was unlock, and My ipod was gone. Then I reported it to the staff, then the staff went back to the locker room with me and we found pieces of the lock...and the worst thing, we saw lines on the lock next to my locker, it seemed that the thief was trying to break the other lock too. I was so mad...especially because they said this is not the 1st thing it happened there and the management just won't do anything. I was so upset with the way they manage the gym.

anyway...thank you sweet hubby for my new ipod touch :)

Most of the time, he looks really serious while drinking his milk

it's time of the year again, the annual Bite of Seattle event!!

btw, this summer I dyed my hair super light...hehe

this year I finally got to taste the alligator meat...IMO it was just like a very dry and tough chicken

and it's time to picked my new ipad at the Apple store...yay...bebe loves to play at Apple store too!!

2011.07.21 Pho Bac

Hubby is the biggest fan of Pho (Vietnamese Noodle Soup), but I'm not. I don't like or eat Pho unless it's from Pho Bac, china town. Despite the ehm...ghetto place, their Pho is the best in town!! They sell nothing but Pho, and they are always busy. If you are in Seattle and want a real good Pho, you definitely need to visit this place :)

2011.07.23 Musashi & Gasswork Park

If you love sushi -I'm talking about those real sushi with raw fish, not California rolls- definitely gotta go to Musashi, this tiny tiny restaurant had THE BEST chirashi in town. Love it!! Even their sushi rice is very delicious.While I was pregnant, I got so depressed because I can't eat them...lol.

It was 7.15 pm when we arrive there and the sun was still so bright, I love this year's Summer!!

2011.07.24 Mt Rainier

good morning! this is our breakfast for today: home made vanilla crepes with fresh seasonal fruits + honey...so delicious and fulfilling!

Today is our Church's outing event to the top of Mt.Rainier

It wasn't cold at all...some people even wear a super Summer clothes...lol

it was the perfect weather and the scenery was really beautiful, the hiking was really fun...even Ethan walk a lot there :)

after the hike, it's time for dinner...so we were all heading to the picnic site

Ethan & Jana (the Pastor's youngest daughter) are both so affectionate, they love to hug and kiss :D

it was a great day spent well with great people :)

Bebe was so tired, he passed out right after we put him on the car seat...It was 2.5 hours drive to go home, and when Bebe woke up, he was really hungry!! haha

2011.07.28 Care Group

Bebe loves fruits! fruits are good source of vitamins :)

this picture is so hilarious...so, our church had care group every Wednesday, and that Wednesday we were hosting the care group at our house. My friend had a son that is a month older than Ethan, and they both wanted to play with the red car...Ethan doesn't push other kids around, but this time, he just jumped and sit on the other boy's lap...lol...but later on Ethan got pushed away from the car haha...

and I made crepes for the care group, they all loved it!

I remember that I used to spent a lot of money going to photo booth during my high school year, so I was so happy to find this cool photo app on Ipad...and it was free!! yay!!

...and finally we took Bebe to the wadding pool :D

In the beginning, he just stayed on the edge of the pool, but not long after that he was brave enough to going around the pool :)

2011.06.03 New Camera!!

Hubby surprised me with an early birthday present, it's the new Canon Powershot 500 HS in Rose Pink. He knew that I've been wanting to upgrade my point & shot with a new camera that can record HD video :)

Then, hubby asked if I want to take our son to go to a park, I said yes. While waiting for my new camera to get a quick charge, we shave Ethan's head...lol...not for fun tho! His hair was (and still is) so thin and start looking weird, so we decided to shave his hair really short. But before I had a chance to told hubby not to shave TOO short, he already shaved it all o_O"

and later that night, It was Balinese night...I cooked authentic Balinese dishes for my girl friends :)

2011.06.04 My Birthday

after that, I grab some delicious tacos from this taco truck near my house...they are sooo good!! I especially love the spicy pork tacos

then, for the 1st time in a loooooong time, I'm having small birthday dinner with hubby, bebe and 2 of my Indonesian girls at one of our favorite sushi restaurant...my other friends keep asking me to throw big party, but I was in the mood for a simple dinner this year :)

2011.06.09 Happy Birthday Ethan!! Off to Houston we go!!

Today bebe turn 1 year old, and we are going to Houston on the very same day for a friend wedding :) It was a great sunny day, a perfect day for a birthday, also for the flight.

2010.09.10 Houston Day 2: Wedding rehearsal

Thelma BBQ, supposed to be one of the famous one there, I don't really like the ribs, they are dry...but the pork BBQ was delicious. I also love the huge lemonade...perfect for the crazy hot weather.

2011.09.17 Ethan's 12 months Check Up

Do you remember that my baby is so addicted to his binky (pacifier) ? I'm proudly say that he is binky free after June 17 :))

The doctor said that it is THE time to separate bebe from his binky...so later that night, we just stop giving him binky and he was totally fine, he was try to looking for it for a while, but then forget about that. And he's free ever since! :)

2011.05.01 Sofa Shopping!

Bebe is 11 months old this month, and I love him more and more

so, hubby and I had been wanted to get a new sofa set for our living room. We went to like 4 or 5 different furniture store to find "the one"...who know that going for sofa shopping can be that hard!

I don't know if anyone have the same problem, but bebe refuse to sleep on his crib at all...for him, being inside the crib = being inside the jail, it made him cry non stop and start gagging himself...so we converted his crib into toddler's bed. And he still hate it. Bebe end up sleeping on the floor, like those Japanese traditional bed...

Summer is here, and inside our house became really hot. We decide that it's the time to put the curtain on. Hubby wanted to have the thermal curtain, but there wasn't any cute thermal curtain (they are ugly and expensive!)...so we put another layer inside. A cute gold zebra print :)

2011.05.27 - 30 Memorial Day Weekend Getaway

My dear friends, Tessa & Bill Wynn love outdoor activity, and they asked if we I want to go camping for the memorial day weekend. I don't like outdoor stuff...lol...so they asked if I wanted to try stay at a lodge and go to hot spring. I said yes!

we were planning for a short hiking (like 1 hour or so) for the next day, but bebe had cold, so I stayed in the car with bebe while hubby, Tess & Bill went hiking

on the 2nd day, we went to Forks to have some lunch...yes, the Twilight's Forks...It surprised me that the town was very tiiinyyy...
there was Twilight bus, Twilight tour, Twilight this and that all over the town...even Twilight cooking book!!

we stop by a beautiful lake on the way back to the lodge
bebe is 11 months and only got 1 tooth...

on the 3rd day, we finally went to the hot spring!! (we went there on the 2nd day but we could not enter because they were full!)
bebe can only stay at the kids pool, hubby and I take turn to watch him
the biggest pool were COLD water...at first I was really hesitated to go, but surprisingly, I enjoy the cold pool the most! the view was breathtaking, we were surrounded by the mountain.
I didn't stay long because bebe can't stay in the water too long, I took shower and wash bebe, then gave him milk at put him in the car to sleep...
later on that day, we stopped by the local street fair
bebe didn't like to stepping on the grass...

and guess what...bebe pick a new trick during our trip...flushing down the toilet!!

what happened during March 2011 :D

2011.03.01 Ethan Visited NOAA

NOAA is the workplace of my hubby. Hubby took us there to see around and to show the baby E to his coworker. Here's baby E at Doug's office, Doug is hubby's coworker and also our family friend, a very cool guy :)
Ethan is happy because he can play with the keyboard and mouse...lol

I remember that March 2011 wasn't my favorite month at all because bebe got sick twice...I hate it when bebe got sick, It's hard for me to see him suffering like that.

2011.03.04 Went to the Doctor

seems like bebe catched cold from the other sick kids at church...he got stuffy nose and keep coughing, breathes heavily and lost appetite. He lost 2 lbs!
2011.03.12 Happier Day

We went to Lunchbox Laboratory, they had moved to a new location recently, and they still working on their menu. We didn't see much variation on the new menu @_@
My favorite stuff are the Truffle Love Burger & Boston Cream Donut Milkshake...ohh so yummy!! (and fattening...lol!!) their milkshake is so good, but really thick as well, I could never finished them XD
then we went to our favorite shopping place.....tadada.....Baby r Us!! lol...the place I go the most since I had baby E!!

I got him a new set of bath toys, he really loves it and made him want to stay on the bath tub longeeeeeerrrrrr.....

2011.03.25 Oregon Trip

We went to Oregon to attend one of hubby's best friend's wedding. And 2 days before the wedding, the bride asked me if I can do her make up, and off course I was happy to do so :)

the next morning, I went to the bride's house early in the morning to do her make up...and later on, also did make up for the maid of honor, 3 other bridesmaids, the bride's elder sister, and also mother of the bride. The bride and Groom requested a suuuuper natural look, no false eyelashes.
by bff Vanessa also came with us to Portland, mostly for the shopping trip...lol
It was a pretty good trip, but bebe catched cold (again!) he was fuzzy during the trip, cried a lot in the car, and coughing and vomiting too :(

and this is taken just before we check out from the hotel, I left my make up pouch on the car and only had my Chanel Powder Foundation, Eyebrow pencil and Lipgloss with me. My skin was pretty ok that time, so I survive with the minimal make up...lol

2011.02.13 Valentine Celebration
in the morning we have Valentine celebration at our local church,
one of the event was food competition where people brought Valentine-related foods (with heart and so on), there was so much good food! oh yummm...
the winner was....meeeee!! haha...I made Japchae, Korean stir-fry starch noodle with beef and vegetables. doesn't really looks pretty but tasted so goooooodd!! ..................and I also asked people to vote for me...LOL!!

later that evening, hubby took me for a Valentine dinner at Metropolitan Grill, well known as the best steak in town.
and my favorite Beckham ate there too! (not at the same time tho...lol)and hubby know that I gotta took picture with Beckham's pic...hahaha!

2011.02.18 More Foods!!

so hubby was browsing on Yelp and found this Red Lantern restaurant at china town, we got curious about the review and decide to try it out with my friends Joysha and Vanessa.
overall the foods were pretty blah...the crab rangoon is lack of crab.
The lamb was tasted quite good, but was really salty...while the duck was pretty horrible, it warm on the outside and was COLD in the middle!
the service also was horrible...the waiter & waitress is clueless about the foods. The food took forever to came out...so I don't think that we would come back for more.

Finally, another beauty related post!!

This month, I finished 2 beauty products, and one of the was the Chanel Double Perfection Compact in Soft Beige 20. It was a compact foundation powder, I like the soft texture of the powder and the matte finished of it, also the compact itself was so sleek and posh.

The new replacement is also another compact foundation powder, it's Diorsnow White Reveal Make Up in 021. This particular product is Asia exclusive product that I got at Duty Free Shop during my trip. I like how the Diorsnow compact is more to the yellowish tone compare to the Chanel one, but I just wish that the compact itself were thinner like the Chanel one.

The other beauty product I finished this month was the famous Lancome Bi-Facil eye make up remover.
I read a lot of good reviews about this product. On the official Lancome website, this 4oz make up remover retail for $26.00, so when I saw one at Costco for $19.00 I just snapped it and try for myself. This cleanser really live up to the hype, it took off all eye make up easily, even the waterproof mascara.
I really love this product, so when Nordstorm had GWP event, I snapped 2 more bottles of Bi-Facil and got 4 free small, travel size Bi-Facil. sweet!
I'm on my second bottle now, and it seems like I will be using Bi-Facil for a long long time :)

we were having farewell dinner because we were scheduled to go back to US on January 21st. but on that day I feel absolutely horrible, and then later on find out that I got upper respiratory track infection...it was awful...fever, muscle aches, nausea...everything in one!! (they have breakout in Bali) and had to postpone my flight to January 30th.

My relationship with my mom is not always the sweetest and the most perfect relationship in the world.

My mom not always know how to express her feeling in a good way, and a lot of time it offended me...I supposed to know that a mother never mean to harm their child. Many times we argued and my anger got the best of me. All I can see was the bad side of her, and I failed to see her goodness.

Now that I'm a mother myself, I realize that being a mother is the most demanding and hard job in the world. You have to be available for your child 24 hours a day, 7 days a week! That it need the ultimate strength and sacrifice to be one. To have to do things that you don't necessarily enjoy, but it's all for your child's own good.

I scold my son when he pushing the tv...not because I hate him, I just scared that if he keep pushing the tv it will fall and harm him.
While I'm cleaning my room, I put my son in the crib and he hates it...I have to bear to see him crying because I rather see him like that, knowing that he's safe than letting him sit on my bed and taking chance of him to fall out of the bed.
it's all for his own good.

Being a mother, I now have a better understanding for my own mother...thank you for your strength mom, thank you for your patient, thank you for your forgiveness, but on top of all, thank you for your never ending love. I thank God for you...may God always bless you with His unfailing love.

2010.10.09 Hubby's Birthday Party

Hubby's birthday was on October 5th, and since it wasn't fall on weekend, we postpone his birthday party to Saturday night, October 9th so it more convenient for our guest :)
Hubby is not really crazy about party and always have no idea about how to plan one...while I loveee party!! haha...I really enjoy being with my close friends and having great time together. So I plan this birthday party for him and after a lot of consideration, we end up having his birthday at our home sweet home, it's easier for us to mingle with the big amount of guest...and also it was lots of kids too lol

so much good foods! I prepare Korean BBQ & banchan (Korean side dishes), while our friends bringing various type of delicious foods
I feel so happy that so many of my friends were there to share their love!
both living room and kitchen were full with our beloved friends! ;D
and finally we remember to sing happy birthday...haha

2010.10.05 Baby E's First Food!!

We went to target to grab some of baby puree. Most pediatrics suggest to only feed baby with milk until the baby turn 6. But I think it depends on each baby's readiness, baby E is 4 months old now and always been a big eater, and if you had been reading my blog, you will know that my baby suffers from reflux, where he spit out his milk after each feeding. So, we are going to try feed him solid food to see if he can keep it in his tummy without spitting it out :)
ps. my mom also start on solid food when I was around that age

we were feeding him Gerber's banana puree (for supported sitter)
he finished 2.25 oz jar of food and still wanting more!! XD~
ps. he successfully chomped down his first solid food, and no spitting out afterward.
until now, banana is always his favorite flavor! :)

2010.10.03 Church's Bowling Event

In our church, we always celebrate our member's birthday. And what make it even better is that they always buy delicious fruit cake from China town, the same type of fruit cake they sell in Taiwan, I love it!!
Singin birthday song, I think there was 5 people that have birthday that week, including my beloved hubby :)
and after the birthday celebration, we went to the bowling alley. I forgot which bowling alley...haha...but I think it was kinda new...?? ;p
Usually hubby is pretty good at bowling, most of the time he will get turkey...but that day lots of his ball went to the gutter...lol...
good thing bebe was sleeping, so hubby and I can enjoy the game ;D
I forgot to mention that it was Bowling competition, we were using 5 lanes and we got 5 people each lane. It was a lots of people! The kids were participating too, and on that lane they put the gate so the ball won't fall into the gutter
David was the winner for the individual that scored the most, the prize was movie voucher
And this group is the winner for the highest score per group...I'm so jealous!! how came all the awesome bowler happened to be in one team?????!!!!! lol XD~
last but not least, of course we have to take group picture ;D ...too bad the lighting was really bad!

It was Saturday morning and I was going to go for the church's ladies fellowship
hubby will take care of bebe today, so I can enjoy the fellowship with the other ladies :)
The ladies at church (including me) always think that we had way more fun than the men. We always have more foods and going to different places, while the men usually go to the same breakfast buffet place haha ;p

We found this really nice Rock&Republic jeans but apparently they don't have hubby's size (32) in stock and he had to pick it on the other store...but luckily my new friend Jackie was pretty persistent to find it, and found out that the one on the mannequin was the exact jeans we were trying to find. So we stripped down the jeans pronto!
